dreamer wrote:I can't remember all of the songs that I liked and didn't like, but I do remember a few songs I liked

nr. 6 Curbside Prophet - Jason Mraz
nr.23 Blood - My Chemical Romance
nr. 75 Little Star - Nora Nordenstam

But that's just what I remember now. I can go through the list again in a few weeks if you want me to.

( NM in two weeks 8-) yyaaay! )
If you at some point have time to be able to go through and review, that would definitely be some feedback I would LOVE to get!

I picked Jason Mraz as my "voice" for Mike Newton (although there's a few exceptions to this). There's a playful, flirty vibe I get from a lot of his music (again, with some exceptions), especially his earlier albums that I think works well with Mike Newton in Twilight and on his reappearance in New Moon. ;)

When I realized I could use "Blood" by My Chem for the blood-typing scene, it took me a good 15 minutes to stop laughing first.

"Little Star" by Stina Nordenstam is from the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack and I thought it would be a good quiet opening for where she wakes up and realizes he's still there. The length on it is still an issue and I do still only like the song up to a certain point on the track, thus my instructions to stop the song at a certain point and skip to the next track.

Did anybody else have a chance to go through these and had some specific songs that they though fit really well or didn't fit at all or ?? :?:

Hi! I've been on vacation for almost two months now, and havn't had time to do much. I'm sorry if you thought I forgot about the whole thing, but now I'm back and ready to make myself useful ;) I got my New Moon american edition yesterday, and I will go trough the Twilight playlist, before I reread New Moon.
BTW I am so glad you're making these playlists, and have already orderd a american copy of Eclipse. How is the Eclipse playlist going?

Keep the topic alive! :D

Dreamer 8-) (sorry about my grammar, its probably horrible)

Oh dear. More than a month since my last post? *sigh*

Well, I have good news for you (and anyone else that might read this).

Eclipse is "done". :D (154 songs long)

Breaking Dawn is "done" :D (both versions - the "Stephenie" edition 8-) (191 songs) and the "Jettabug and Rose" edition 8-) (190 songs) as per my earlier post).

The quotes are in place because Jettabugfox and I are are just doing a final run-through before posting.
PLUS, bringing Playlist.com up to date to match the spreadsheets.
PLUS, formatting my Excel spreadsheet so I can copy-paste everything into a post and it will show up the right way. I don't know how to BBCode a spreadsheet into a post so that it stays with the box/field format, so I have to do some funky things to get the data to come out even remotely readable.

It's kind of like shooting has wrapped and now it's up to special FX and editing...

Is (possibly) this weekend or next soon enough? I'd like to post it on a Saturday late morning so that there's a remote chance that someone might actually see it... I dunno, when are the most people on here? I don't have a loudspeaker to announce this broadly... unless Pel wants to post it on the Blog/Twitter... (hey, I can dream... :P ).

I'm VERY happy with how Eclipse and Breaking Dawn turned out. So much so that I'm really seeing all the faults in my versions of Twilight and (to a lesser degree) New Moon.
At any rate, remember that once these are posted, I'm more or less going to "retire" the Twilight playlist until I'm satisfied with it. What you see currently is a juvenile first attempt. As such I'm going to mark it on Playlist as "Version 1.0/under revision" so people get that it's under revision/reconstruction/rebuilding-from-scratch. I know there are links on the Twilight list that don't work/songs that are missing from the playlist. I haven't fixed these bugs yet because I'm planning on re-doing it all anyway.

Dreamer, your feedback on the Twilight playlist/soundtrack in it's current incarnation will help GREATLY with this re-do. So I'm going to ask (ok, beg) that you do go through it and let me know what works and what doesn't. The more ears/minds on this, the better.

Oh! Can't wait to read them all! :D As I said, I just got my american copy of New Moon a few days ago (they only sell the british ones in Norway) and I am going to read that soon with your music. But first! Every rainy day next week is devoted too The Twilight Playlist! (and it rains a lot now..)
I promise :D ;)

Hi again.. So I am going to post a few songs at a time, as I look through each of them:

1 *** 1 – Preface *** 0.56 *** Interlude *** My Chemical Romance *** Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge- Perfect
2 *** 3 – Start of Chapter 1 *** 4.25 *** Why Does It Always Rain on Me? *** Travis *** The Man Who- It fits.. it sounds to me like she‘s homesick when I listen to the song..
3 *** 8 - “We stared out the windows in silence” *** 5.13 *** One Headlight *** The Wallflowers *** Bringing Down The Horse- Like it…
4 *** 12 - “Finding the School wasn't difficult” *** 5.02 *** Black & White *** Sarah McLachlan *** Surfacing- It’s a slow song, and I think that is good.. + the lyrics fits: Everyone is waiting for your entrance so
Don't disappoint them

(please excuse my grammar)

Hihi.. I'm glad :D So here's the next songs:

5 *** 18 – First appearance of Cullens *** 7.59 *** Only In Dreams *** Weezer *** Weezer
- the song fits well. It has the right tension to it.
6 *** 25 – Intro of Mike Newton *** 3.34 *** Curbside Prophet *** Jason Mraz *** Waiting For My Rocket To Come
- Love, love, love it! This song is sooo Mike Newton. Make it green!!
7 *** 26 – When I walked into the warm office *** 3.32 *** Vow *** Garbage *** Absolute Garbage
- hmm… first I was skeptic, but then I listened to the LYRICS.. and I like ‘em. BUT I also think that there are better songs out there, that gets you in the right mood. Because this MELODY didn’t do the trick for me.. soo it’s a maybe…
8 *** 29 – start of Chapter 2 *** 3.12 *** Deuce *** The Cardigans *** The X-Files: The Album
- “Now that you left me..” aah.. such an annoying melody ;P I want to make the time go faster… It is perfect!! :D (please don’t be offended if you like this song, it’s like 2 am or something..)

And again.. excuse my bad grammar. I'm only a Norwegian

I had wanted to have this song originally for the same scene in Midnight Sun rather than Twilight as Edward is really pissed that this insignificant girl has come to ruin his life, so the song is supposed to be from his POV. But if you're just having it from Bella's POV, I can see why I wouldn't make sense. I think I plan on replacing this when I do Version 2.0. :D

8 *** 29 – start of Chapter 2 *** 3.12 *** Deuce *** The Cardigans *** The X-Files: The Album

Not offended at all! But, is it perfect or is it annoying? Or is it perfect because it's annoying? LOL Just trying to understand.

And again.. excuse my bad grammar. I'm only a Norwegian
Not a problem. :D You're doing extremely well! Even better than quite a few Americans I know!

Thank you! That is very nice to hear ;)
More songs!!:

9 *** 33 – emailing Renee *** 5.42 *** Who Needs Shelter *** Jason Mraz *** Waiting For My Rocket To Come
- Skeptic.. It’s probably not my favorite, but okay. I think it's replaceable.. if you find something better…
10 *** 37 - “We lapsed back into silence” *** 3.57 *** Winter *** Tori Amos *** Little Earthquakes
- Yes! I like it. A keeper ;)
11 *** 43 - “Hello” said a quiet musical voice *** 4.17 *** Creep *** Radiohead *** The Best of Radiohead (Special Edition)- Should I comment on the green ones too?
