1. Jacob says “C’mon you think someone is going to get past all – all six of us?” Do you think his pause has to do with using the word werewolves as Bella suspects or do you think it has to do with the fact that Jacob has already been forbidden to reveal that the number of werewolves have been growing?
I knew instantly that he was lying about how many wolves there are. Just the way he said it...

2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob?
I hope that he is starting to trust Bella's judgment a little more.

3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237?
Jealousy.

4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?
I kinda think it is funny! They have been doing it to each other for too long for them to quit now.

I didn't know. I thought he was just being stupid and had to take a second to count up everyone. However, upon further inspection, I came to the more practical conclusion that he was definately hiding something from Bella.

2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob?
I thought it was sooo sweet of him! He put his jealous, uneccessary concern, and stubborness aside and thought about what Bella really wants. ahhhhh I love that man.

3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237?
I'm not sure. Edward is always so confusing and cryptic, it could have been anything.

4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?
I thought it was childish of Jacob, and very hot and devious of Edward. I mean, Edward barely ever jokes around and has a good time, so it was nice to see the teenager inside of him coming out.

I didn't know; I wasn't aware he was forbidden to say how many wolves there were; I thought Bella knew all of them already.

2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob? You know, I liked it. Edward had already seen what Bella did when she was "forbidden" to hang out with Jake, sneaking to LaPush while he was gone. I like that Edward put a little more trust in her.

3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237? I have no idea. Maybe he heard Jake's thoughts?

4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?I like it that Edward does it, because she IS his. It bothers me that Jake does it, because he knows Bella doesn't love him like he loves her, and obviously he hasn't imprinted on her (I get the feeling that he was trying to force an imprint on pg 173 when he stared into her eyes; we know that can't happen). Jake knows he won't imprint on Bella or it would have happened the first time he saw her after he phased. He just leaves his scent on Bella to taunt Edward-- that's MEAN, Jake!

Hmmmmm..... that's kind of interesting. I never thought about it like that. That could be a good possibility. I don't think he likes to refer to himself as a werewolf, because then that would mean he is less human, but maybe Sam did tell them not to reveal that there is more. As far as we know Bella doesn't know seth and leah are werewolves yet, so it's a possibility.

2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob?

I think it is great. Edward really loves Bella, and is willing to do anything to keep her happy, which means accepting her best friend is a werewolf wether he likes it or not. It was just a matter of time. I don't think Bella would have put up with him keeping her away from jake much longer. She would have gotten more and mmore rebellious.

3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237?

I think it would be a hint of worry, that maybe he thinks Bella will start to want to be with Jacob more than him. He knows it's not true, but his human emotions are starting to show through more and more. She hasn't accepted his marriage proposal yet and he doesn't understand why so I think it's fear and worry that maybe Bella will change her mind.

4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?

I think Edward is jealous of Jacob, and he's not sure what Bella really thinks about him. He wants to ensure that Bella is his. Jake wishes he could be the one Bella wants, and so he tries to win her over by being obnoxiously forward with his emotions. He will try anything to try and get her to stay with him instead of being turned into a vampire. I also think Edward is also unsure about himself. He is full of self loathing and always thinks he is not good enough for Bella.

I think its probably the fact that Jacob cant tell that the werewolfs were growing..Sam probably wouldnt want the Cullens to know that. And if Bella knew, she would most likely tell the Cullens, or at least Edward.
2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob?
I was glad. He needs to learn to be able to trust her judgement with some things. And maybe he knows that Jacob wouldnt hurt her.
3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237?
She thought that it was a tear. He didnt want to see her go.
4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?
I think its kind of childish of both of them.

Maybe both. When I read it though, I thought he had to pause to count... he was tired, after all.

2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob?
I was a little suspicious at first, but I quickly dismissed that. I thought it was really brave and gentlemanly of him.

3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237?
I don't know. I think it might have been surprise, though I can't imagine why. I don't know why he'd be worried or panicked. Maybe he was just scared to leave her in that certain company. Maybe it was the first time he heard the sheer magnitude of how strongly Jacob felt for Bella....

4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?
I think it's funny, personally. Petty, yes, but so funny.

I don't think he likes being a werewolf and he still wants to think that he's more human so that in his head, he can hold that over Edward. So yeah I don't think he likes using the term werewolf.

2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob?

Its very mature of him, but I wish that he talk to Bella about revealing to much information about the Cullens to Jacob...

3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237?

I thought that he knew something bad was going to happen at La Push that night but wasn't telling Bella about it and therefore, it made him worry.

4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?

Its hilarious but only Edward has the right to do it. He's her boyfriend. Jacob is just her friend. Jacob is the one who is always pushing Bella to hold his hand and tell him stuff about the Cullens so the least that Edward can really do is put his scent on her to tell Jacob "she's mine so don't try anything funny". Jacob doesn't really have any reason to do it and only does it to be a jerk to Edward.

I always thought it was because he doesn't like the term werewolves. But now I think it was because he WANTED to say all eight of us (remember Brady and Collin weren't there) and wasn't allowed to.

2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob?
I like it.

3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237?
Him worrying, again, that she might decide not to come back to him. He still, amazingly enough, doubts his hold on her.

4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?
That's what they were doing? :o

I think that it is a little of both: Jacob doesn't like thinking of himself as a werewolf but the pack has been growng so rapidly he may not be allowed to reveal its size.

2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob?
I think that Edward has finally realized that if he allows Bella to have her time with Jacob then she can stop feeling so guilty about not seeing him and therefore be able to just be with Edward when she is with him. I hope that this makes sense!

3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237?

Longing and lack of confidence in himself. Even though he knows that Bella loves him, for some reason he stills doubts just how completely attached she truly is to him.

4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?
As Edward says himself, "I may not be human, but I am a man..." They were both just being "macho" and trying to show off as men try to do when they both like (or love in this case) the same girl.

I didn't think much of it at the time, just the same reasoning Bella had.

2. What did you think of Edward’s new found acceptance of Bella’s judgment when it comes to her friendship with Jacob?
He said it himself, he doesnt want to drive a wedge between him and Bella, he wants her to be happy.

3. What was it that Bella caught a fleeting glimpse of in Edward’s eyes as he left on page 237?
I didn't know

4. What do you think of Edward and Jacob taking turns provoking each other by marking Bella with their scents and accentuating their relationships with her in front of each other?
they were just being men
