So yeah...but I would happy just to get a chorus part ;D

OKAY, who brought up the Cell Block Tango??

He had it coming. He had it coming....He had it coming all along.

<3

oh yeah, that was me with Cell Block Tango, I practically know it by heart — and i'm thinking of using it to audition for monologue and singing next time i need to.

Lucy would be another role I'd absolutely LOVE! She's just so sassy but vulnerable at the same time. And her song, "sympathy, tenderness" (i don't know if that's the name or not) is so hauntingly beautiful.

I've been thinking about what the girls sound like too. Bella mentioned her voice had changed, was she an alto before and became a soprano? Or does your voice just get a bit clearer, crisp? Charlie did notice the change in her voice and the obvious change in appearance. Because I haven't exercised my voice much since my days in chorus, my range has diminshed a lot. I'm more in the alto range now, whereas before I could sing both parts but I liked my more mature alto one voice.

I ADORE singing! I'm a soprano by nature, but I can sing alto if I have to. I'm really sad because this year our high school musical is probably going to be cut due to budget cuts(and yet our ASB keeps giving us random, pointless free stuff. Our school needs to rethink our priorities.). Stupid budget defecit!

I love singing, and just took a year of voice lessons to tone my voice. They did help, but I didn't like my teacher so now I am looking for someone new to go to. Yay for Tenors and our manly voices. I would love to sing professionaly, but I doubt I have the patience needed to succeed in that buisness.

Iris Messenger wrote:you should definitely see Cats! The songs are just so amazing and funny and clever lyrics — and Memory is spectacularly done in the film version. Seriously, it can bring me to tears, that song can.

Here's a fantastic quality video of the song — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_UQil4j_i8
i wouldn't mind being Jemima, the other cat that sings, because at least i'd be singing a piece of this fantastic song.
Okay, I'll check it out thanks!!!!!

Oh my God!

I was in the chorus of one of a local productions of Cats.

It was fun...except for when we went out into the audience.

Teehee...some kids got freaked out.

I would LOVE to play Grizzabella in a revival of Cats.

So amazing <3

But I could never live up to Elaine Paige or Betty Buckley.

It was very...intense. LOTS of work.

We got to name our cat, and mine was Fettuccine. Don't ask.

My favorite song was Skimbleshanks when we got to build the train. Gah, that took lots or rehearsing.

But yes, that production is probably the highlight of my resume. lol

the largest musical i've been in was Oklahoma!, which was this summer ... tons of fun, lots of cheesiness.

i was a cowboy named Fred as well as one of three singers in the Dream Sequence — i had several lines, the best songs, and a few beautiful solos!

Because our director was terrible (we had our first full dress rehearsal ON the day of our first performance and had only JUST gotten the blocking done), all the cowboys came into the last scene being quite "drunk" ... though we had to sober up pretty quickly to sing the closing number. haha, good times! We put the WHOLE musical on in three weeks of six hour a day working on it, not to mention the time at home working. I'd pretty much sleep until dinner when I got home.

Fettucini ... interesting ...
