Hi, Y’all!! Happy Hump Day! I am enjoying a lazy Wednesday night with nowhere to be but wrapped up with a quilt in my fave chair. The first week of February will start our new quarter for life groups at my church, and I’ll be busy busy busy then! I’m teaching one study and taking a second… in addition to Celebrate Recovery.
I also have an early dinner date Saturday afternoon with a local guy I met over on Plenty of Fish. He is a truck driver for a dump truck company here in town and is big into politics. I’m not sure I’m going to be too impressed, but I’m keeping an open mind.
I am watching The People’s Choice Awards. OMG!! He. Shaved. His. Head! There are just NO words!
Ok… on to your posts.

TRACY~~ I don’t know how relaxing the weekend will be… I intend to have all the Christmas decs completely put away by Sunday! But, it will be nice not to have to be anywhere in particular! Yay! It’s supposed to get cold here by tomorrow. I hope it stops raining before it does. I can deal with cold if it’s dry! But, cold and rain… yuck! We may have to make a date to see Bel Ami together! I’m so hoping they bring it to our area!
LYNNE~~ Baahaahaaa! I felt so sorry for that poor boy! I came off that slide and the pressure from the water just pulled my swimsuit bottoms right down! Not only did I scar the lifeguard for life, my nephew was behind me on the raft! LOL! My Mama’s birthday is on December 26th! I know how you feel shopping for birthday gifts so close to Christmas!
MARIELLE~~ Oh My Edward and Bella! Happy Hump Day indeed! I hope you had a productive day at work.
RAINE~~ Ugh! Traffic issues are soooo stressful! Rachel Weisz and Jeremy Renner? Where was Matt Damon? It does look like they’d wait until the weekend when things weren’t so congested. Hope you can avoid the traffic tomorrow!
SONGBIRD~~ Most of us either take notes or type our posts over in Word first. I started doing mine in Word after about the second lost mega-post. AA is a “Christian” thing, but it isn’t a church affiliated thing. They try to stay neutral. Celebrate Recovery is church affiliated. I hope the issues with the new choir director get worked out soon. I tend to agree with your IDIOTS outlook on the Beyonce issue. That situation could have been handled A LOT more people friendly! By the way, is there a “REAL” name we can all call you?
AMY~~ Yay! No cavities for the little one! That’s terrific! I bet Rob will have some interesting stories to tell Kristen after sitting next to Betty White tonight! LOL!
JACLYN~~ A honeymoon in New York sounds perfect! Is there a chance you and hubs might end up with us at the HH Con as a finale to the honeymoon? *Crossing fingers, toes, and everything else crossable!*
SEAN~~ Stupid, cringe-worthy, waste of time… all great words to describe the PCA’s! Hmmm… I had sushi (cream cheese roll with avocado, crab/shrimp, and cucumber), but fried chicken is always a winner in my book!
SUSIE~~ How’s the knee? You’re right… We’ll need someone to man the HUB, but I’m so hoping you’ll be up to doing a little touring with us! You’re the BEST tour guide!
CHRISTINA~~ Yay!!! I am sooooo excited that we can put you on the HH Con YES list!! Wooohoooo! Florida’s weather has been kind of crazy! They’ve warned us here that the price of citrus produce and juices is going to increase.

Well, I’m nodding off at the keyboard! Just in time, too! LOL! I’ll see Y’all tomorrow night!

Wow....his hair really is short  But that pic with Betty White is just too freaking adorable. :D

* EDIT~ I just added the rest of my megapost here....

Missp~ When you first mentioned that "He. Shaved. His. Head," I was totally expecting Kojak, and a smooth, shiny head, so I was very relieved to see Rob's buzz cut at the PCA's. I'm assuming this short 'do is just because he feels like it, and not as prep for some project or movie. It must be nice for Rob not to have to grow his hair longer for the characters of Edward or even Georges DuRob. I hope you enjoy your quiet weekend with a little rest and rejuvenation time. I'm hoping we don't have snow tomorrow either, as the schools here will usually close at the sight of the first snowflake. :? Have a nice time on your date Saturday, and keep us posted. Good for you for stepping out again. I would love to work out a Bel Ami viewing together if possible--that would be great!

Christina~ I hope your pastor enjoys reading WFE. One of my coworkers has had my copy of the book for four or five months! Luckily I bought a second copy of the book as I also wanted the version with Robkowski and Marlena on the cover. ;) That is neat that your parents were able to meet Ginnie, and I bet they were happy to "put a face with a name" since they had heard so much about her. That's funny about the abundance of dentist appointments among HH members and families around here. I have my dentist appointment tomorrow and hope I'm cavity-free as well.

Sean~ I believe I did see the preview for the movie you mentioned, "Red Tails". Is Cuba Gooding, Jr. one of the stars? I'm sure the documentary you described would be at least as interesting as the movie, as it seems the movie moguls are always willing to embellish historical events in movie adaptations, for the sake of the almighty dollar. :?

Lynne~ You're absolutely right....Rob certainly wears almost anything well. I don't think every actor can pull off those period costumes as well as Rob. Obviously we should also thank the wardrobe and costume design staff, but I loved Rob's look as Jacob Jankowski from the '30's in Water for Elephants, and it certainly looks like Rob will bring late 19th century Paris to screen beautifully in Bel Ami as well. And ditto on Rob's lovely and lean physique....you said it, sister. I hope you were able to find the birthday presents you needed. Regarding Jan/Feb birthdays--our family also has about ten birthdays in those two months including my FIL, my SIL, my grandmother, a couple of cousins and their spouses, and my daughter, hubs, and myself. Who knew those months would be so popular....or maybe the warm and romantic springtime months of April and May were just popular for making babies. 8-) Congrats to your little boy for starting school soon. Will he be starting Kindergarten, or the equivalent of Kindergarten in Australia?

Raine~ I'm sorry you're having to deal with the traffic issues from the filming of the Bourne movie locally--what a pain. I think Jeremy Renner is an amazing actor; is he supposed to be the "new" Jason Bourne?

Amy~ Kudos to your son for a great dental appointment. Tell him good job for brushing his teeth!

Marielle~ That would be so cool if you were able to attend Jaclyn's wedding. You mentioned something about being a weather chaser. With your interest in and aptitude for science, is there some type of meterology or weather-related field you might be able to pursue?

Susie~ Thanks so much for posting the link to the second Bel Ami trailer. I remember that new trailer being posted weeks ago, but amazingly somehow forgot to watch it in all the pre-and post-holiday craze. Oh dear Lord....that movie may just be the death of us all! :swoon: I was completely mesmerized watching the trailer, and nearly had to pick up my jaw from the floor. Rob has such amazing screen presence and will most certainly be a force to be reckoned with in this one. I loved hearing Rob's accent onscreen, as we haven't been able to hear it in character for several years. I didn't realize the U.S. had a Bel Ami release date already, so that's definitely good to know. Thankfully Nashville has a couple of theaters that usually show more artsy flicks, so surely I'll be able to find Bel Ami around here. Let us know how your appointment with the orthopedist goes tomorrow. Is your pain any more manageable today?

Jaclyn~ That would be so cool if Marielle could come to your wedding. The Halfway House would be well represented. :D

Songbird~ I'm sorry about all the drama with your choir director. Is this a church choir or a choir affiliated with some other group? We seem to have quite a few choir members and singers around the HH. I've sung in choirs since junior high, throughout college, and still enjoy singing in the adult choir at our church. I'm definitely a note taker too, as Susie said. I've lost one too many megaposts by not taking notes and posting first in Word, or at least frequently saving my draft at the Lexicon. Weren't you the one telling us about being very involved over at The Leaky Cauldron website? I think that's so cool! I've frequented the Mugglenet site and occcasionally Leaky in my day, and still check them out from time to time, although I was just a lurker and never a poster. I also download both Pottercast and Mugglecast for listening during my commute to work, although admittedly I'm a couple of podcasts behind, now that things in the Harry Potter world have slowed down a bit. How did you first get involved over at Leaky?

Well, I'm sorry girls, but I really don't like that hair on Rob. He looks like a pale version of the Mickey Smith character from Doctor Who, especially when he speaks, as the accent's the same. I hope whatever role it's for is a good one!

Christina - I tried reading WFE and didn't like it (I didn't get all the way through). I didn't like her style very much. And I found the nursing home stuff interrupted the flow of the story. I much preferred the way they did the movie.

Tonise - I once lost the top of my swimsuit in full view of three army guys. That was embarrassing, to say the least! I must confess I think they enjoyed it, though!

Tracy - yes, he certainly wears all kinds of clothes brilliantly ... although I'm really having trouble with that haircut! He looks as good in period costume as he does in jeans. And I go for lean men. My husband's nickname was stringbean in school! Birthdays are interesting, aren't they? When I grew up, three of our four birthdays fell in the first two months of the year. My mother was the only one who broke the trend by having her birthday in April. Then, when I joined my husband's family, his father was added to the February tally, but my husband, sister-in-law and her husband all joined my mother in April. Fortunately, my son is in July, keeping his Nanna (my MIL) company, as her birthday is the latest in the year, in August. But we still don't do much celebrating in the second half of the year!

Good morning everybody….

Did you know that I totally missed that the people’s choice awards were yesterday, I thought they were next week…
I can’t believe I missed this!!!
I think somebody on fb said he looked a bit Jake Gyllenhal in Jarhead… but WHAT THE HELL HAS HE DONE WITH HIS HAIR!!!!
I think maybe he shaved it off after Cosmopolis so that it can grow the same length again…but he sure did look good!!!

Bel Ami news, Shauni pointed out that Bel Ami will be shown in Holland this weekend. Sadly only in one cinema and I’m very unsure if I can make it there, I think my brother will visit on Sunday than I really can’t go…

Anyways posts…

Lynne, did you see the PCA pictures from last night, I think Rob is training again, look at those beautiful muscles arms!!! In BD I was a but amazed by his muscles. Like you I really don’t like the too beefed up men, it has to look natural but men he make me purr.

Raine, they are shooting a Hollywood movie close by you… aren’t you excited!! I would at least go and have a look…though I understand that it is annoying when you want to get home…

Songbird, thanks for the warning… I’m taking a list with hotels along the route with me and I don’t think I have seen a special feast or event around that area on those dates but I’ll have a look into it…
No Tornado’s??? do you remember two summers ago, somewhere at the beginning of July, between where you live and my parents live they had a tornado. It destroyed the festival area of the Zwarte Cross…sometimes in Holland we do get them but not as destructive as in the US.

Jaclyn, I love that tradition, I’m all about tradition as well…
Don’t get you hopes up too much for me coming to Scotland, I’m really unsure if I can pay for it and I’ll have to decide really last minute because I have to save up a lot of money.

Sean, Rob can easily say that people should be in prison, here in the western countries in Europe prisons are close to 4 star hotels, they get good food, a room by themselves and a possible education all for nothing…

Susie, when I took this job I promised myself that it was only for 2 years or I would have the possibilities to grow to a manager position and that’s not really possible here and I’m already working here for 4 years…but I’m not in a hurry, this time I’m going to wait until I find the right job…

Christina, Yes I got the special extended dvd box of the Lord of The Rings… I really love it, so many hours of bliss… especially all the extra Legolas footage…though I love Viggo and the men that play Eomer and Faramir a lot as well…

Tonise, nope not a very productive day yesterday… I couldn’t get two excel sheets give the same results where they should!! I was making so many mistakes that shortly before lunch I started over completely…

Tracy, yeah it would be nice to go to Scotland…I hope I can make it but I’ll have to see around March… I first have to pay for the HH-con and I’m already looking to stay in a cheaper hotel close by where you are staying because my BF finds the Marriot way to expensive…

This young lady looks like she is in heaven... ( I sure would be)

Rob's at least with one of his girls!!!, I'm sure Kris is at home watching and laughing her socks off....

Speaking of buff.....Hello, biceps .

I thought Rob had (jokingly?) mentioned something about eating cheeseburgers, drinking beer, and stopping the exercise as soon as the shirtless scenes in Breaking Dawn were filmed. Obviously he was joking, or he's started exercising again. I'm not minding the short hair too much as we know it will grow out to a more tuggable length within a few weeks. 8-) I'm also loving the navy blue, short-sleeved shirt, and especially the watchporn. What is it about seeing Rob's lean and well defined forearms encircled by that watch? :swoon: It makes him look a little more mature and distinguished, but still sexy, I guess. ;)

Tracy shakes head to clear her mind of the vision of Rob flexing his forearm muscles and biceps as he glances at his watch and courteously gives her the time.... :D

A little chunk of news--and I know that Marielle is gonna love readin' this: Apparently Rob is supposed to be a guest on the new season of Top Gear. I found it on Robstenation.

It doesn't mention if Kristen is going with him, and whether or not she goes or not, I hope that Jeremy doesn't grill Rob too hard on Kristen and his' relationship. And Jaclyn will have an excuse to watch TG in the coming weeks.

I'll be heading to bed soon--I'll dig up my Hornet book to do some quick research before I post on a forum later.

I'll be back later :)

*of to so a little silly dance!!*

Edit: checked that twitter post... I don't want to be the downer but that's looking a lot like the celeb wish list of Jeremy's kids...

So,darn the luck, my hotspot feature on my phone is deactivated. Thus, I can't use it for internet access while here. I'll likely break down and pay at some point. Just not today.

PCAs~ First, Hot Damn!!!! I knew there would be grumblings when I say his hair but I couldn't give two shakes less. The man could dye his hair three different colors and kept the Cosmopolis do and he'd still be the hottest thing out thee. He'll always be Rob. As for the show, well the only thing I can say is it was better than last year. Kaley did so much better than Latifah. It was still an excercise in commercial irritation, but it was good to see Rob either way. He did look to be enjoying himself. I'd kill to hear some of the chat between he and Betty. The looked pretty comfy together. The cherry on top was WfE's win. Rob's acceptance speech was very sweet.

Alright, time to supervise homework time. Check back in later.

Edit:

Marielle & Sean~
I saw the announcement about Top Gear. I knew you two would be jazzed. I'm kind of jazzed myself. Rob's talked before about it being on of his shows. It's just a cool idea.

Wow! It's short...I love it. I just keep imagining running my finger tips through it, feeling the short hair tickle my fingers..... :chants: I will not drool on keyboard...I will not drool on keyboard :swoon: Sorry, my mind got away from me for a moment. I've said for a few years now that I couldn't wait for him to shave his head. Like the saying goes: good things happen for those who wait!

Jaclyn ~ Lucky You!! I've always wanted to go to New York. I second Tonsie: that would be amazing if the two of you could swing by HH Con for a visit.

Sean & Marielle ~ I would actually watch Top Gear knowing that Rob made an appearance. Keep us posted as of when he will.

Tracy ~ I heard that too about the cheseseburgers and the non exercise.

Well, gotta go back to work.
