Hi everyone :)

I hope that everyone enjoyed Kristen on Leno last night. Not much news for either Kristen or Rob, though--just some minor Cosmopolis stuff and some Kristen leaving Leno photos. As I said, not much today.

Audi did, however, in spite of the fact that I wanted one of the e-tron quattro hybrids to win, did win at Spa with a 1-2-3-4 finish in a relatively trouble free affair for the team. The finishing order was #3 R18 Ultra, #1 e-tron quattro, #4 Ultra, and #2 e-tron quattro. In spite of the highest finishing hybrid finishing nearly 47 seconds behind the winner, the e-trons were fast in the rain, and ultimately fast in the dry, though the performance gap between the two cars narrowed to almost nothing on a dry track, and as the #3 Ultra wasn't running for the driver's title, strategy under the pace car situations and a change on to slick tires on the drying track played into their hands, especially after the #1 Audi that lead most of the race was briefly delayed by a tire puncture. And it marked a debut win for the second generation of the Audi R18, something Audi couldn't quite give it's immediate predecessor at Spa last year.

And believe it or not, it actually didn't rain most of the race and much of the last 2/3s of the race was held on a dry or dryish track.

Needless to say, I'm pretty happy now, and Audi passed a major test with the e-tron quattro--reliability in the rain, as that car hasn't had the wet-weather testing that the Ultra (albeit unintentionally) had. Brief race report here, but I'll try and find more detailed stuff later:

I'm basically gonna veg out and think about what I'm gonna eat tonight. Last night I tried some Red Barron pizza-like breakfast things, and it got me thinking about the little Tombstone Pizza things I used to like. So I got some of them last night, too. I went though nearly 2/3s of the money on my card, but it was worth it to have nearly 2 weeks worth of food on hand. I guess that I'll mostly be reading and watching some cooking shows tonight. Just pretty amped after what Audi did today and with Kristen being on Leno last night.

PS, a couple of Audi videos from Spa, to demonstrate the audio differences between the cars when onboard, with the e-tron emitting a high pitched whining noise under heavy breaking and under accelleration as the hybrid system is charged and released:

I'll be back later :)

Songbird/Susan, hi I'm NewJen, (more like NotAroundMuchJen) and I've done some baking in my time. If you have a banana bread recipe it might translate well with pureed strawberries instead of mashed bananas. I did that once and it was delicious. Possibly add some food color to make it pinker. A friend of mine has used strawberry puree in place of the milk in a standard yellow cake recipe and like the results as well....again with pink food color.

Sean
Thanks for the info about Kristen on Leno. I watched it, nice to see her.

Hm, do people think if I change my tagline to the "only reason" rather than "sole reason", that it would be far enough from the kind of thing Edward would say? The reason I like that line is that it is what inspired the idea for the novel in the first place. I was thinking of corny chat-up lines, and I thought of that one, and then thought, "What if a guy said, 'you are the only reason I was put on this planet!' and you said, 'Yeah, right!' and he said, 'No, you are the only reason I was put on this planet ... really!'." What would the implications of that be within a story?

Sean - I enjoyed seeing Kristen on Leno. She looked great! I like Leno. I also liked what she told us about the extra filming for BD Pt2. I'm all for more footage of the first hunt!

Songbird - we're seeing the dog this morning, so I'll let you know about that later today! Anyone who's thinking of buying my book will count as part of the platform, it doesn't matter where you are! I would like to get 500 people, though, before I go to her and tell her I've got a decent one. So hopefully, if I can find 500 people to like my Facebook author page (which will soon be created), then I will be able to tell her I have a platform. If anyone here can help spread the word, that would be greatly appreciated. I'll let you know when the Facebook page is ready.

Hi everyone :)

Is anyone gonna enjoy the supermoon over the next night or two? I'll probably glance at it, since there's not much on TV tonight. So I'll be reading, playing VGs, and trying to find something to do. At least there's videos on You Tube and Audi TV about Spa today :)

I'll be back later :)

Okay, everyone, I'd like you to meet Harry. He's beautiful, and, in spite of being a bit jumpy when we first met, he has settled down remarkably quickly. He is two years old, and looks like a great dog, who learns quickly.

Ann Marie, that's so cool that you met Rob! Did you actually get to talk to him or was it just to sign an autograph? Did you get a picture with him?

Sean, are there videos up of the Leno show? I don't even know if we GET Leno here...perhaps our other Dutch sisters can enlighten me. I always enjoy watching the interviews. Some of them are pretty funny. I have no idea what the supermoon is...is it a new film or something?

Hi New Jenn. I kind of guessed who you were..I've seen the other sisters refer to you a few times. But it's nice to officially "meet" you. I guess you've also figured out that I'm Susan. I live in the Netherlands, but I'm origanlly from Wyoming. I DO have a banana bread recipe, but it's not the best one...pretty dry. But maybe it would work better with strawberries since they are juicier than bananas...something to experiment with, thanks!!

Lynne, I'll be happy to help when you get your author page up. Just let me know. Is a platform just an Australian thing? I'm wondering because my other aspiring author friend has never mentioned it to me...I wonder if it's something I should suggest to her. I saw the pictures of Harry on your FB ...he looks like a sweetie! Maybe a bit too innocent to be totally innocent. LOL Does Little Man love him already? I bet they'll be running around tracking dirt into your house in no time!!

Some doofus I went to high school with, for whatever reason, posted on my FB profile that my brother is gay. Gee....thanks for enlightining me....I'd have never guessed that from being in his wedding...in which he married a MAN. Idiot. But I do wonder what his motivation was....did he honestly think I didn't know? Did HE not know yet? (don't see how he could have missed it with all the pictures of him with his husband, and our protesting against Fred Phelps, and the fact that he was on like...every news program in the country back in 1998 when his friend Matthew Shepard was murdered, and my brother was the chairman of the LGBTA on campus) Did he think it would bother me to tell me my brother is gay? Did he think it would bother my brother that he told me? Or did he just think he was being funny? I don't get it.

Tornado wrote:NewJen - yes, it is sci-fi/romance. Whether it's well done or not is a matter of opinion! :) It does take a while to find out what is going on, I'll admit, and that's probably it's biggest drawback. However, that's just the way the story goes. I can't change it because of certain story elements and characters, and believe me, I've tried to think of a way! I think my friend would be more enthusiastic about publishing it if I got to that part a little faster. I've cut the beginning as much as I can, so now there's only the hope that it is entertaining enough to keep people intrigued, and I think it is.
I was very anxious on page 12...because I wanted more and there was only one more page!!!!! I enjoyed it very much!

Happy Sunday everybody!!!

I’m doing my post late because I have no idea at what time I’ll be possible to check in tomorrow.
I have to be at some factories tomorrow so I’ll be driving around most of the day and after that we are going to have a look at the last house of our selection, so it will be late before I’m back here…

I’m going to do a quick catch up on all of your posts..

Desiree, yes the house we went to see Friday is on the maybe list… I have a few reservations about the downstairs area but I really liked the neighborhood.

Grayce, I find it very hard to be supportive of our troops as I’m really against the war. (any war for that matter)… it’s very hard to see them as two different things. But I always do hope that they get home safely, in that I’m very supportive…

Susie, I can’t see Kellan as Tarzan! NO way! I think I’ll just break out in laughter because he would look so silly… the sad thing with him playing Emmett I just can’t see him being serious…Maybe once I have seen it, it will be better.
How’s your son doing at school now? Is it going better now he is used to the rhythm?

Lynne, Blacklist won’t be a movie I would go to see if it wasn’t for the erotic allure of a growling demanding Rob…

Tonise, I’m done shopping for the HH-con… I need to leave space in my suitcase so I can shop along the way and on Magnificent Mile…but I bought a few t-shirts and new linen trousers…

Songbird, no I get small red dots all over my arms and face when I’m too long in the sun, the blisters comes with my allergy for ferns.
No I don’t think we have Leno here on tv… I always watch online.. . often the interviews will be on Youtube.

Ann-marie, you have been busy… did I see it correctly on fb that you hair is shorter? Did you get a new look?
Good luck with selling the cards… will the money go to the church?

Alright I’m off reading! See you all soon
