Me too! Her a/n mentioned people thinking she'd forgotten about it - well, I had! I was kinda hoping there was going to be more of a mystery to the fic what with the bowls with secret compartments and Bella's parent's unclear association with Carlisle at one point... But the actual plot line was pretty fluffy (even if all the actual scenes weren't due to violence/other adult topics) but that's okay too. It was an entertaining read.

You know I thought that too. I went back and read the story again a few weeks ago and I thought there was going to be more about the bowl since she wrote about it a few times. When the author wrote that Bella found the note in a bowl from Vladimir and King Aro, it was kind of pointless in my opinion because we already knew that Aro was behind a lot of stuff. Maybe it was Savage's way to confirm Edward's suspicion? :?:

Kayla has given me (well, a bunch of people really, but I'm just so excited) a hobbit gift for her birthday. The new chapter of Rogue is up! This is only chapter 5, so it's very WIP, but oh it is awesome so far. I'm a huge Kayla fan, I compare every Jasper I read to hers. If you are a Kayla/Openhome fan, or if you are looking for something new and don't mind a WIP, try it - it is Jasper POV, with flashbacks to his human life, set beginning after he and Alice joined the Cullens, and she plans to take it through the Saga. No true lemons, but a mature story nevertheless (he is a soldier ;) ). The latest chapter is fabulous, IMO! Here's a link to the story.

Yeah, me three. LOL

I really thought there would have been more of an explanation about the bowls, or that there would have been something more significant hidden inside them. (Spoilers)
Doesn't a little note seem like an awfully perishable thing to be tearing a castle apart for? The recipient could have torn it up, or burned the thing once he read it. I guess they must have known that was not the case, but still it was a little anti-climactic for me personally. The gold, at least, made sense. I was expecting something along those lines. Anyway, as ridiculous and kitschy as it was in parts, the story beneath it all was sort of moving. How does that saying go? "Behind every great man there is an even greater woman." It's something like that, anyway. Anyway, it was the love story that kept me reading. It always does.

How terrible! ;) ) and I have to say: WOW!!!! I loved that story! Thanks so much for the link, Ginnie. Really well written too. I'm not familiar with The Canon Tour, but will it be announced who wrote each story? I'd love to read more from this author.

A New Hope was one of my faves, too! Yes, the authors for the The Canon Tour have been revealed. There was a Twitter reveal, but if you go to the website, all the winners and participants are listed. Also, if you go to the contest's fanfic profile page, you'll find the individual stories listed in "Favorite Stories" now, rather than in "My Stories." (The ones in My Stories are stories that have not yet been posted the author, or that the author has not yet sent Solar the link. Like me, lol!)

If anyone was curious, my submission was"Fear". It didn't exactly turn out the way I thought it would, but it was fun to play with.

I'm just glad others are enjoying the contest, too, and I'll be sure to let you guys know when the New Moon round begins!!

Happy Reading! -Ginnie

I started a new drabble(?) named: The Learning Curve by Amethyst Jackson. She is only 21 chapters in it. It is rated M for reasons. It's AH and they are in highschool, but it is kind of cute.

I agree that this Drabble fic is pretty cute, but the premise reminds me of another fic I read recently, "How My Life was Ruined in 14 Days" by moon.witche (I think that's the author/title). Bella is a perfectionist and had always been OCD about school, so she lacks social skills (including sexual experience). She asks Edward to do the deed with her just to get it out of the way, and of course, a relationship develops. *I wouldn't call this a spoiler--it's pretty much the same info in the summary.*. Anyway, who knows where our two kids will end up in Learning Curve...despite the similarities, it's a fun read. I was just curious if anyone else has read the "14 Days" fic. I'm pretty sure it's reviews are over a thousand...

Anyone reading any other good ones?
