I'm going a bit out of line here..but,
Did any one else had the feeling when they read this chapter that Jake would end up with Leah?

I did, I didn't know about Renesmee, and the way Jake was thinking about Leah, I thought they would and up as a nice couple

1. Jacob tries to find his imprinte by scanning the crowds at the park. Do you think it is a realistic plan? How do you interpret his banter with Lizzie? Why does Jacob not pursue Lizzie?
I didn't think Jacob's plan was realistic, but he was desparate and reaching out so it would have seemed a good idea at the time. Tho I think he knew it really wasn't going to work. I felt a bit sad for him here...I really like Lizzie tho! He didn't pursue her cos he knew it was never gonna work; he didn't feel "the thing" for her, the way he feels about Bella.

2. How do you interpret the actions of Leah when she confronted Bella. What do you think she said?
It shows a lot about Leah, and that she truly cares for Jacob and his pack. She was very brave in coming into the Cullens house human, although I kind of hate her for being mean to Bella lol. I think she prolly would have told Bella that she is wrong to be leading Jacob on, and hurting him all the time.

3. Why is Jacob, who is not the Alpha of the La Push wolves, the tribal chief, able to grant the Cullens a leniency in the treaty? What are the ramifications of his granting the Cullens this mercy when it comes to the other wolves and the tribe? What would Sam say?
He is able to do this because he is the true Alpha. It's all about the blood line! I think Sam would have been mad, if the baby was evil...but like he said before, Bella made this choice, and so they can't really punish the Cullen's for carrying our her wish.

4. Do you feel that by this time, Bella and Jacob have resolved their issues? Or do you feel that their relationship will still be uneasy?
I felt very positive about their relationship at this point. I hope everything would work out okay.

5. When you first read this chapter, what were your reactions to the end? What did you predict would happen in the next chapter?
I was very scared. I thought she would die...I hoped that they were able to make her a vampire before that happened. I thought the baby was either going to be horrible, and totally normal lol

Yeah I did have half a thought about that. Not that they would imprint - they'd seen each other way too many times for that - but that they might end up falling for each other in a human way. Leah's characterisation is brilliant and I love the interaction between her and Jacob in BD, their developing relationship.

1. Jacob tries to find his imprinte by scanning the crowds at the park. Do you think it is a realistic plan? How do you interpret his banter with Lizzie? Why does Jacob not pursue Lizzie?

No, it wasn't realistic at all and he knew that really, but he was desperate for a way to escape his pain. Lizzie sounded like she was exactly the kind of girl he would have been interested in if it wasn't for Bella - I felt that was kinda the point, that here was someone who was obviously ticking so many boxes for Jacob as it were - pretty, funny, caring, likes cars - and yet she doesn't really interest him or touch his heart or help his pain at all...hence why he doesn't follow things up with her.

2. How do you interpret the actions of Leah when she confronted Bella. What do you think she said?

Leah and Jake are definitely becoming friends at this point and Leah has a really protective, maternal streak to her. She understands better than anyone how much he's hurting at this point and it makes her mad that Bella is doing this to Jacob.

3. Why is Jacob, who is not the Alpha of the La Push wolves, the tribal chief, able to grant the Cullens a leniency in the treaty? What are the ramifications of his granting the Cullens this mercy when it comes to the other wolves and the tribe? What would Sam say?

He's the hereditary Alpha, the one whose Ephraim's power passed on to. That he wouldn't claim his birthright and then wouldn't challenge Sam when he did doesn't change that. As Ephraim's heir, he is the only one who can make the exception without being challenged - any decision Sam made, Jacob would always be able to challenge, but not the other way round.

4. Do you feel that by this time, Bella and Jacob have resolved their issues? Or do you feel that their relationship will still be uneasy?

Their relationship was never really uneasy - just painful. It's still really painful for everyone involved that Bella loves Jacob even though she loves Edward (and the baby) more.

5. When you first read this chapter, what were your reactions to the end? What did you predict would happen in the next chapter?

Wasn't sure, but I figured Bella wouldn't actually die.

Eh, I didn't find it very realistic, I mean of course he can go everywhere and look at everyone, but it is more than likely going to happen when he's not looking for it. He can't persue Lizzie because he is in love with Bella, he doesn't see faces except for hers.

2. How do you interpret the actions of Leah when she confronted Bella. What do you think she said?
She probably just called Bella selfish. Leah went through something kinda like this and I'm sure she was just feeling for Jacob and thought Bella was hurting him on purpose.

3. Why is Jacob, who is not the Alpha of the La Push wolves, the tribal chief, able to grant the Cullens a leniency in the treaty? What are the ramifications of his granting the Cullens this mercy when it comes to the other wolves and the tribe? What would Sam say?
Sam already agreed they would not attack the Cullens over turning Bella into a vampire. But Jacob is suppose to be the original Alpha and choosed not to take it. But he is the one who is able to make the vote overall and they would all have to listen to him.

4. Do you feel that by this time, Bella and Jacob have resolved their issues? Or do you feel that their relationship will still be uneasy?
It's still kinda uneasy. It obviously hurts Jacob very much to be around Bella but he cant' be away from her. Bella sees him as family but in a different way.

5. When you first read this chapter, what were your reactions to the end? What did you predict would happen in the next chapter?
I figured she might be going into labor, of course with Carlisle gone! And I also figured that much because I wasn't expecting it to be for another chapter or two after Carlisle returned, so of course it happens right then, when noone is expecting it. lol SM is amazing!

I was like way to go Jake way to try. No it wasn't realistic. Aww Jake can flirt :), because he knew she wasn't the one for him.

2. How do you interpret the actions of Leah when she confronted Bella. What do you think she said?
I thought they were justified. And that she needs to stop leading Jake on.

3. Why is Jacob, who is not the Alpha of the La Push wolves, the tribal chief, able to grant the Cullens a leniency in the treaty? What are the ramifications of his granting the Cullens this mercy when it comes to the other wolves and the tribe? What would Sam say?
He is the rightfull alpha, they can't do anythinga bout it, he probably wouldn't of granted it.

4. Do you feel that by this time, Bella and Jacob have resolved their issues? Or do you feel that their relationship will still be uneasy?
Nope, it will be uneasy

5. When you first read this chapter, what were your reactions to the end? What did you predict would happen in the next chapter?
Honestly I thought Bella was going to die :(

1. Jacob tries to find his imprinte by scanning the crowds at the park. Do you think it is a realistic plan? How do you interpret his banter with Lizzie? Why does Jacob not pursue Lizzie?

I think the plan was a bit silly -- there are many people in the world, he can't just randomly run into his soulmate. I kind of noticed that Lizzie's physical description is similar to that of Renesmee after she's born; maybe there was some foreshadowing there? Anyway, Jacob doesn't go out with Lizzie because he just doesn't feel attracted to her.

2. How do you interpret the actions of Leah when she confronted Bella. What do you think she said?

She probably called Renesmee a demon, and Bella stupid for keeping her. She also probably called Bella a slut or something, and told her to stop leading Jacob on. I think what she did was uncalled for, to be honest.

3. Why is Jacob, who is not the Alpha of the La Push wolves, the tribal chief, able to grant the Cullens a leniency in the treaty? What are the ramifications of his granting the Cullens this mercy when it comes to the other wolves and the tribe? What would Sam say?

Because, by blood, he is the tribal chief, and he now wants to take that responsibility. Having another vampire puts the tribe at risk, though, and Sam would be furious.

4. Do you feel that by this time, Bella and Jacob have resolved their issues? Or do you feel that their relationship will still be uneasy?

I think they resolved their issues.

5. When you first read this chapter, what were your reactions to the end? What did you predict would happen in the next chapter?

...I thought it was pretty gross, and I knew what was coming next.

1. Jacob tries to find his imprint by scanning the crowds at the park. Do you think it is a realistic plan? How do you interpret his banter with Lizzie? Why does Jacob not pursue Lizzie?
No. As he says later, he's not going to just happen across the right person because there's a lot of girls around. And Jacob isn't in a healthy enough place to pursue Lizzie. He's still grieving for his other relationship.

2. How do you interpret the actions of Leah when she confronted Bella. What do you think she said?
I think she probably yelled at Bella for being so cruel as to tie Jacob to her and continually require him, especially when she has someone else. I guess she equates it to Sam wanting her back in the pack even though he has Emily. It's a valid point, although she is probably not recognising that Jacob is drawn every bit as much, and she should be able to tell this from seeing Jacob's thoughts, although even then, neither of them know about the baby and that this is more the drawcard at this stage. Still, it's enormously insensitive, especially considering that Bella has been, and in a way still is, close to death.

3. Why is Jacob, who is not the Alpha of the La Push wolves, the tribal chief, able to grant the Cullens a leniency in the treaty? What are the ramifications of his granting the Cullens this mercy when it comes to the other wolves and the tribe? What would Sam say?
Because he is the rightful heir to the title. Sam's title was only assumed. He is Ephraim's blood heir, so only he has the right to do it. While it's possible the other wolves and members of the tribe would have a problem with what he's done, he still has the right to do it, and they would have to acknowledge that. After all, Sam's Alpha commands have no effect on Jacob, but if Jacob was to push his Alpha commands on Sam, then he would be bound by it.

4. Do you feel that by this time, Bella and Jacob have resolved their issues? Or do you feel that their relationship will still be uneasy?

5. When you first read this chapter, what were your reactions to the end? What did you predict would happen in the next chapter?

1. Jacob tries to find his imprinte by scanning the crowds at the park. Do you think it is a realistic plan? How do you interpret his banter with Lizzie? Why does Jacob not pursue Lizzie?
Off course it's not realistic, his imprinte could be on the other side of the world. He doesn't pursue Lizzie cuz he knows he won't fall in love with her, he's in love with someone else.

2. How do you interpret the actions of Leah when she confronted Bella. What do you think she said?
I think she just yelled Bella for hurting Jacob, maybe with examples of things that happened and how it made Jacob feel. Even though I'm on Bella's side, I thought it was a nice thing of Leah to do for Jacob.

3. Why is Jacob, who is not the Alpha of the La Push wolves, the tribal chief, able to grant the Cullens a leniency in the treaty? What are the ramifications of his granting the Cullens this mercy when it comes to the other wolves and the tribe? What would Sam say?
Sam would be mad, but it's Jacob's right, not his. We know Jacob was the rightful heir, not Sam, so Jacob can grant leniency.

4. Do you feel that by this time, Bella and Jacob have resolved their issues? Or do you feel that their relationship will still be uneasy?

5. When you first read this chapter, what were your reactions to the end? What did you predict would happen in the next chapter?
The baby will be born and Bella will become a vampire.
