New Older Kid

Hi all - I'm 44 years old. Just finished the series. Looking forward to "Eclipse" although I was a little disappointed at some of the dialogue that was left out of "New Moon".
I'm encouraging my 16 year old son to read the books so he can be more like Edward than Paul.
In an earlier life, I had to make a decision about which man to pick - I chose the "Jacob" and have been married to him for almost 22 years. Although, to be fair, my Edward wasn't trying to kill himself over me and I didn't have the Volturi ready to slaughter me if I chose to remain mortal. I just liked Jacob better. And his mom was nicer.
I have a question about Aro and Alice and I didn't see it answered anywhere. I'll post it on the Aro thread - maybe you can enlighten me.
