Mod Edit: As of May 2010, we're changing how we handle tech questions. Instead of having a single thread for people to post their questions on, we're going to allow posters to start their own topics in the Accident Forum. Allotting each new topic a thread of its own makes it easier for subsequent users to see if their own question has already been answered.
But please people...this only works if users don't jump in and ask their question without looking to see if there's already a thread for it. Take the time to look through this forum and the FAQs in the Newborn Forum before starting a new topic. If we get inundated with duplicate topics, we'll have to rethink letting people start topics in this forum.
Since this thread is no longer necessary, it's being locked.
Bella_Cullen_13 asked for a topic where people could post questions or doubts related to the internet or computing stuff and I thought it would be a good idea, but i'd also like to have this topic tidy and not full of random and out of topic questions, and I know you can do it
So, we could post a question each day (if people really have a question) and the rest of us could help that user giving some tips or explaining how to solve the problem

Re: Tech Question Topic
Is there a way to delete a post once I've posted it?

I, as a mod have the button to delete a post, it's a cross next to the Edit button but i don't know if you'll have it. Take a look at tell me if you find it

Re: Tech Question Topic
Nope, no delete... I just have edit and quote buttons. I wanted to delete because (I'm a newbie), I had posted an item, then found a better place for it in the forum. I didn't want to double post. So, I looked for delete and couldn't find it. Then I tried to edit and just erase everything, but the system wouldn't let me re-post. Oh well. Live and Learn!

Yeah, no delete buttons for registered members. If you need to delete something don't hesitate to send a private message to a Moderator or administrator!

Re: Tech Question Topic
Okay, this may sound really stupid (as I'm just not that tech saavy for forums), but how do I find a moderator to do this? How do I know who is a moderator? I don't need one now, but for future reference... My problem post is doing okay now, but I may want to move it around later.

Re: Tech Question Topic
When you look at forum members, if our name comes in green it means we're mods (as Nena and me). The Forum admins like Pel or Alphie come in red, that's a way for you to "see" us more easily
Re: Tech Question Topic
Really stupid question here and I'm not sure it goes in this topic but....
what does the purple and blue does next to sections and topics mean? like what does the purple one mean and the aqua one? which one means new posts and white means topic read/old topics? im so confused

Are you talking about the little circles?RockChick wrote:Really stupid question here and I'm not sure it goes in this topic but....

If so, I think each one has recent post meanings. Rollover it with your mouse and you'll see some of them say "new posts" or "no new posts". I'm not sure what the static one means, so i'm wondering that too.
Purple- No new posts
Aqua- New posts
I'm pretty sure it'd specific to what you just looked at, so it's different for everybody. Hope that helps!

Just adding to what Eri said, At the very bottom of the page there is a link that says "The Team". This lists all the moderators and administrators.Eri wrote:When you look at forum members, if our name comes in green it means we're mods (as Nena and me).
