James was an exceptional tracker, I think that was his ability.
Hmm, I'm not sure, but I don't think Laurent and Victoria have talents.

Im pretty sure Victoria's power was evasivness or something like that. Its suppose to explain how she got away from the pack and the Cullens all the time.

:D of course I was joking. I really don't think a vampire would petrify due to a lack of an exercise routine.

Thanks guys for answering my questions. I love this forum it's great!!!!! Did someone say that there was a twilight movie topic site? Where exactly is that at?

I was wondering about the electricity thing too in Twilight. Good question! It mentions it several times in the book. I can't wait to see the answer!

So I have a question pertaining to Alice and Esme.
The book does a good job of covering all the vampire's pasts, and how they became what they are. We know that Edward and Jasper did a lot of human killing at one point, Carlisle and Rosalie have never drank human blood, and Emmett killed a few times when he was really tempted, but I don't recall the book ever saying if Esme or Alice have ever killed humans.

I suppose the books do state that Carlisle and Rosalie are the only ones who haven't drank human blood, but its just so had to envision Alice or Esme killing humans. Especially Esme! Its hard to even picture her killing animals!

So I don't know, thought just popped in my head. Wondered if anyone knew something I didn't.

If you go to the "Hollywood Hideout" section, there is a sub-section for the Twilight Movie...and New Moon

Okay, I was reading BD and I have a question about Kate and Bella.

When they're practicing and using Edward as a test, does this mean that Kate's power is a mental electrical shield? I always thought it was more of a physical talent but surely it must be mental if it can't get to Bella. If it was physical it would be more like Jasper's gift. It kinda makes me wonder if it's like Aro's power, she has to touch the person to actually use her gift. Or when Bella creates her shield to mentally protect others and herself, Kate also exerts her sheild to protect herself? I"m a little confused.

^^I think Kate's ability is like Jane's where she causes the illusion of pain. So Bella can push she shield out to others which blocks that illusion from everyone Bella is shielding

This is correct, I believe. Breaking Dawn has the list of vampires at the end, and Victoria is listed as having a power. I also believe her uncanny ability to avoid threats/danger is her ability- such as when she escaped the werewolves and the Cullens in Eclipse by skirting around the treaty line.

/tries to picture Emmett on a treadmill
/dies laughing

(Actually, the poor treadmill will probably go kaput!)

In Eclipse, Rosalie states that her record is "better than Esme's." This leads me to think that Esme probably did kill some humans (at least one, given that Rosalie has never tasted human blood).

As for Alice, all we really know is that she "gained a consciousness" as Edward puts it all by herself. I do wonder though why Rosalie doesn't mention her in her comparisons.
