Shauni~ Oh Hot DAMN!!! Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE that photoshoot!

Susie~ Oooh, movie night sounds very fun. I haven’t seen Social Network, but it sounds like it was very good. I think I like the sound of your theater even more. :D I know both you and hubs will miss DaughterDear, but it’s nice that you’re having all sorts of family time before she’ll leave. Groovy. I think I’ll go ahead and remove him then. I’ll do it very very carefully so as to leave the background intact and hopefully I can just slide him in and out. Oh, don’t I know it. I keep thinking that I might need to go and visit my dad and inlaws sometime in May or June! No, Kristen isn’t nominated. So, the likelihood that she’ll attend is low. However, there have been a number of stories circulating about different designers being tapped to give her a dress for the Golden Globes, which would indicate that she plans to attend. Hubs and I are already bickering over what we get to watch on Sunday. He wants to use the aircard to watch the Butler game online. I, however, have no intention of missing the red carpet show. I think Summit might have an opinion on whether they attend or not. But, at this point, it’s good publicity either way, so they’ve gotten to a point where they are less…insistent about things.

Sandy~ HI back! You know we love drivebys, too.

Ginnie~ Ugh, broken laptop! Well, good luck fighting the good fight with the hubs. I’m telling you, those video games can be the bane of a girl’s existence.

Christina~ Way to go on donating, but I’m sorry it was so frustrating. You’d think if they were advertising, they’d be prepared for more people. Glad you enjoyed my cyber-escape! It’s kind of my happy place. Believe me, I know how you might get lost in there for hours. :D

Bedtime Post -

Caryn - You do need to plan a trip to your dad's with a detour towards the north and then I'll meet you there and we'll do some very subtle and refined stalking. 8-) I had to laugh when you were describing how you'd keep the box and then slide him in and out. (and I don't usually have my mind in the gutter!) Perhaps I should head on over to RAoR, eh?? By the way, are they in Toronto?? Maybe they'll get the inside scoop on accessibility! Kristen and dress designers for the Globes? Sounds promising. I'm going to my friend Mary's house to watch the awards. We already have that planned. Our movie theatre - you would have fit right in. It's the kind of place that screens the most entertaining political debates. They had the Palin/Biden debate....

MissP- Wow! I haven't had the news on at all today, so I didn't know about your blizzard! You already know you don't have school tomorrow? I'm glad you've got RBell to cuddle up to. I hope he can drive through the snow and ice to get to his new job. If you're home tomorrow, you'll be able to get a lot of writing done. I did some today - Chapter 3!

Christina
- Two hours when you were expecting one hour is very annoying indeed. I'm glad you got to the movie just in time, though. Regarding blood donation - my hubs and I are the same type, so he does all the giving. He donates as often as possible. The only time I donated I got really wiped out and it took a whole day to get back to normal.

Christine -Oh No!! :o That's rotten luck about your laptop. What happened? (dare I ask?) I will pray that you and your hubs don't resort to violence when sharing his laptop.

Tammy - I can't wait to see what you come up with for Caryn.

Sandy - Hi Lady! Thanks for checking in.

Nighty Night, All!

Hello ladies. Hope you've all had wonderful weekends. Yes...we're expected to be hit by remnants of the Blizzard of 2011 mentioned by Missp. Please refrain from laughing at us all you folks from Minnesota, Indiana, Holland, and Scotland...you know who you are. :D Remember that we here in the south don't have access to all the salt, snow plows, and especially the sane, normal drivers that you do in your parts of the country or world. As a matter of fact, my kids' county school system is already closed tomorrow due to inclement weather, and we have yet to see a snowflake on the ground!

**Breaking News 12:14 PM C.S.T...I just peeked out the window and a beautiful snow has begun to fall....the streets are covered. I'm sure our county school administrators are breathing a sigh of relief, or they really would have looked ridiculous if the snow never started.

Marielle~ Hope you enjoyed your lazy Sunday—those are the best kind of Sundays. How's your Mom feeling? Good luck with her CT scan tomorrow, and hopefully prompt results to follow.

Caryn~ That's too bad you won't be driving through Murfreesboro, TN this week; it would've been fun to try and meet up briefly. The south (especially Mississippi and Alabama) is supposed to be hit pretty hard by the snow and ice Monday and Tuesday—be safe on your drive. I'm glad to know that ActionRob was so helpful at the office today—he's quite handy, isn't he? Susie wasn't the only one with the pervy mind.....I too laughed at the remarks like, "he's well and truly tied down", "there will be no easy in and out", "if he comes out, he's coming all the way out"," sliding him in and out", etc. Loved your Golden Globes dream with Rob—it's certainly not too farfetched to imagine that happening next January. Let's keep our fingers crossed that we actually see Kristen with Rob at the Golden Globes this Sunday. As Susie mentioned, since Kristen is not presenting anything.....she would be there truly to support Rob and be with him, if she were to appear. This would be the clearest public declaration we've seen that they're a couple, up to this point. I'm glad to know you're prepared with all the proper techno-gear to make it through your road trip. Hubs is sweet to try and take over most of the driving duties so you can stay caught up with all the Robcrack and Twi-stuff. ;) Let us know what you think of the book, Cosmopolis. I also saw that Colin Farrell was originally cast for the same role as Rob—they are kind of at opposite ends of the spectrum, as you said. I'm not a huge Colin Farrell fan, although I loved him in In Bruges.

Shauni~ Thanks for the lovely late Christmas gifts you posted. That particular photoshoot seems to be the one that keeps on giving. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years.

Susie~ You and I are certainly of the same mind regarding Rob's collarbone....but how could I forget the bit of man fur? 8-) I'm glad to hear your family enjoyed watching The Social Network—I haven't seen it but had heard it will be a huge Oscar contender. I know you'll treasure these next couple of weeks spending extra time with Daughter Dear. Thanks for the kind words about my kiddos. They certainly didn't think of you as that “crazy lady they met from the internet”, and they enjoyed meeting both you and Missp very much. :D You asked about our weekend....both kids had basketball games yesterday, grocery shopping, lunch out for my Mom's birthday and dinner out with the kids last night. We went to church this morning, and hubs and I attended a special meeting at church for 5th and 6th grade parents tonight. Our church offers a neat program for pre-teens sponsored by the Methodist church called “Tweens, Faith, and Human Sexuality”. The kids will meet in small groups with specially trained mentors for the next couple of weeks to discuss the issues, and we'll all meet together again at the end of the program. The primary focus is really designed to help parents and children learn to communicate about these issues together. It's hard to believe that my daughter has grown up so fast; that it's already time to talk about these things! It's also so difficult to reconcile discussing these sensitive topics with my sweet and naïve daughter who still believes in Santa Claus! But it's certainly something we don't want her to hear about in the halls at school, or from someone on the school bus, first.

Ginnie~ So sorry about your broken laptop, hon! What a literal pain in the neck. Can you write and/or Lex on hubs laptop primarily while hubs is at work, to minimize the computer-related arguments? ;)

Christina~ Good for you for being a regular blood donor. Sorry they weren't fully prepared and you had to rush to make it to the HP movie on time. My brother's blood type is O negative, and the Red Cross was always very happy to see him. I used to donate blood fairly regularly, and even donated platelets a few times too after being inspired by some of the bone marrow transplant patients I saw when I still worked as a P.T. in acute care, way back when....
Isn't Caryn's photobucket account something else?! I bet you were like a kid in a candy store, wandering around the aisles of Robcrack. 8-) That's neat that your Mom noticed Rob and Kristen's chemistry while watching Twilight. Moms always know best.

Missp~ Hope Rbell's first day of work goes smoothly tomorrow and that he's able to drive there safely. You're sweet to climb out of that cozy, warm bed tomorrow morning to make his breakfast. Enjoy your snow day and the extra writing time. It just started snowing around midnight, and we're predicted to have anywhere from 3-5 inches, depending upon where you live. I think you guys are supposed to get hit worse than us, especially with the ice. Be safe! I hope our kids aren't out of school several days this week either. It just gets them so out of their routine, especially since we only just returned to school and next Monday is already a scheduled holiday. :?

Good morning ladies…

I’m having the morning off, I had an appointment early this to get a massage, my back really needed it, and tonight I’m having a new Years drink with the company…
I also did something I haven’t done in five years… I ironed my skirts…I really needed to do it because two of them were all wrinkled but normally I just hang them out wet so they dry unwrinkled…I really hate ironing and I suck at it big time…but sometimes you just can avoid it…

Caryn, hihi, your heated comment on the whole PDA and rating issue makes me laugh…yes, I think you are spot on with it, it isn’t so strange that young teenagers are getting the wrong message about sex and love. I don’t know why they are doing it but if they are considering showing a bit of well covered up sex on the BD honeymoon porn, but a mtv clip normal…well I’m not surprised the world is heading downwards…

Wow, Shauni, talking about making an entrance... any chance you are still able to tell us how you are doing?

Susie, the Social Network, got I think a lot of noms for the award shows…sounds like they deserve it.
We went to the beach yesterday, it was very sunny the whole day so we thought a walk through the sand would be nice, but the wind was really freezing so we ended up going for a short walk and have a hot choco in one of the restaurants…
Sounds like your daughter is up for some very worthy work, I like the idea of child protection.
Oh, are you trying to get Jaclyn a heart attack???

Aww Christina, thumbs up for donating blood…and at least you made it to see the movie…was that your first time or have you seen HP more times?

Tonise, I’ll keep my fingers cross for Rbell liking his new job…let us know how it went.

Tracy, hahaha, snow is terrible now matter where it lands…I’m shocked that you guys don’t even have a small plan of action with salt and a road cleaner so that people can get to work safely… that’s what people get if they are ignoring global warming…
My mom is actually feeling a bit better now she’s at home…she got a lot of painkillers but they are not so good for her stomach, with the Chron and all she just has more pain from the meds as with out them, so she has stopped taking the meds she is allowed to stop on her own accord, and the pain was manageable yesterday, today hopefully we’ll get some answers…

Wow writing this has taken more time than i hoped, I have to hurry and taka a shower before I'm late for work...
see you all later!!!!
These violent delights, have violent endings...Like fire and gunpowder, they consume what they kiss

Hello ladies, just a quickie as I'm about to take buddy to Pre school and then I'm buying a cross trainer in an attempt to lose some weight! I need to be far more active considering I have a 4 year old to deal with, plus I'd hate to be an embarrassment to him by me looking like an air ship.

Congratulations on setting a date Jacklyn! You must be mega excited!

Oh god sorry for no individual posts, but it's teeth brushing time then school x

Afternoon folks,

I didn't get a chance to check in yesterday as I was over at my sisters house. I went over to let them see New Moon and Eclipse. Orginally my BiL wanted to see Twilight about a year ago to see what the fuss was about. He wanted to see it as he likes vampire films, but I was trying to tell him that it wasn't like a "typical" vampire film...he realy doesn't like love stories so I told him he wouldn't like it.. and he didn't. He has a big list of reasons why it's rubbish blah blah blah LOL. But he is glad he saw it. So I said that once Eclipse came out, we would watch the next two (I didn't want him to only watch NM as I knew he would hate that even more than Twilight, and so I thought if we watch Eclipse immediately after, he might be left with a better impression LOL. My theory was right - they didn't like NM, and he thought Eclipse was marginally better due to the fights...typical boy! LOL. He gave NM 1/5 and Eclipse 2/5. Hmpth! lol

But I really really enjoyed them!! It was nice to watch Eclipse immediately after NM. The movies still have the same effect on me - and I love that they do!! I just adore these movies... So I defo had fun yesterday (even though I had to defend the saga and Bella & Edward a million times - it's time like these, I need to have Caryn with me! ;) ).

Afterwards, we played some RockBand. It was much fun! My sister didn't want to play much, as it ended up just myself and my BiL - someone would play drums, and the other person would play guitar and sing (he has a mic stand so this is possible to do standing up LOL). We are both on the "hard" difficulty, and it was really quite difficult to play guitar and sing at the same time! Especially when it was a hard song to play and/or you didn't know the lyrics of the song, so had to read those plus look at which notes to hit on the guitar LOL! It was so much fun though, and we did really well at it... It really makes you feel like a "rock star" :D LOL.

Tammy & Lulu - I saw on the news yesterday the terrible shootings that happened in Arizona... I hope no one that you knew was injured :(
To all the rest of my American HH Sisters - I'm thinking of you!

Golden Globes - When about are these on? Are they shown live on US tv, or is it taped in advance? I'll have to do a little enquiring to see if we will get the full thing here on tv somewhere..

Shauni - Thanks for stopping by! The pics you posted are gorgeous (and I argee about that the first pic Susie - the fingers!! *faints*). How are you?? How's uni going? I hope you had a nice Christmas and New Year :)

Raine - The snow here is a bit sporadic, it kinda comes and goes but it can last until April-ish. It almost always snows on my BiL's birthday, which is at the end of February; it's funny cos we should totally bet on it or something... That's mental your summer is already starting! Does this mean that you are out of the wet season now?

Susie - I'm glad you enjoyed The Social Network. I quite fancied seeing that, but I don't think it's on at the cinema here anymore... In fact there's lots of money I want to see right now LOL. Not sure when we are actually gonna go though...
I'm happy that you and your hubs are enjoying spending time with DaughterDear before she heads to Mexico. The time she is away will fly past and she will be back before you know it! Is SonnyBoy enjoying spending time with his sister too? How is his Les Mis practices going along with his other after school projects he has to do?
That's great about the plane thing ;) I will keep you up to date with any new details and we can talk about it!

Caryn - I don't mind if ActionRob is in or out his box - either way, I am sure we all be be careful with him! I can't wait to see all the pics you have been taking - it sounds like he is enjoying his time with you ;)
Btw, you were in my dream last night! I think you were on your journey to Florida, but ended up popping in by Susie's for a coffee! I actualy remember reading on The Lex "I'm in Susie's living rooom right now!" Hahaha! (and on a dream note, I LOVED your Rob dream of him winning a Golden Globe! I laughed, and went aww thank Kristen had to push him on stage to collect it!)

Ginnie - Good luck on your writing challenge!! Have you got long left on WDH? I hope that you still manage to check in every now and again to say hi and let us know how you are doing. We will miss you!!
Oh no!! Sorry to hear about your laptop breaking!! Could you maybe use one at the public library if your hubs is busy on his? I hope it gets repaired soon!

Chrissy - Sorry that winter break seemed to pass by quickly - I wish I was still on holiday too! LOL. When do you get your next break from school?
That's a bit annoying about your sleep schedul it out - has it always been like that? So...is your hair really falling out, or are you using that as a figure of speech?

Christina - Aw, sorry your had a bit of an annoying donation yesterday. You think they would defo have more people there to take blood if they had advertised so much for it!! I am due to give blood in February - you can only do it 3 times a year here, which I think is a bit annoying. Is it the same in the US?

missp - Wow, so you have to make up snow days in the summer? Yeah I wouldn't like that either!! Glad to hear that RBell is excited about his new job. Can I ask what it is that he will be doing?

Tracy - Your weekend sounds like it was a good one - and I'm glad it did snow so that the schools weren't closed today for nothing! Did your kids go out and build a snowman etc?
The Church program that you mentioned to Susie sounds like it will be very useful for you and your daughter - I agree that it's not the best idea to hear about these issues on the school bus.

Marielle - I love lazy Sundays! I hope you enjoy your back massage today; I haven't had one of them in ages but I liked them!! Haha, I hate ironing too!

Mel - Thank you!! Yep I'm pretty excited!! :D
I almost got an exercise bike yesterday but then thought..would I really use it?? LOL

Ok really need to run back to work now - catch you later!

Happy Monday, Sisters!

I honestly have no time to be posting. We're expecting major snow tonight and tomorrow and I need to get as much done today as I can in case schools are closed tomorrow. However, I couldn't NOT come and post. So, here we go...

Tonise~ My apologies. I didn’t see your post before I posted my own. That’s what I get for trying to Lex whilst watching TV. I’ve heard all about the snow and ice your way. Unfortunately, I’ll be driving through much of it to get to Florida this week. I’m just hoping that, by Wednesday, they’ll have a bit of a handle on the roads. That’s so sweet to get up and make RBell his breakfast this morning. I do hope he appreciated it. Hmmmm, the laptop… Well, I can say I don’t share well with my hubs. That’s why I have my laptop and he has his netbook. I just don’t know how I’d feel about it.

Ginnie~ I didn’t see your post before I posted mine last night, either. No worries, I’m sure, between the sisters and a few other helpful folks, we can restore your links.

Susie~ No, Dad and BigBrother are in Detroit. But, when you live in Detroit, crossing the Ambassador Bridge is as regular as hopping on 96 to get anywhere. So, hitting Toronto for a day trip wouldn’t be any problem. Ohhhh, but that’s getting tempting!

Tracy~ I’ll admit, I’m one of those people who giggles a little when I see that the world shuts down when there’s an inch of snow in your neck of the woods. But, you’re right. When you don’t experience it regularly, it’s just not something you plan for. Even people in southern Indiana tend to be a little perplexed by more than an inch or so. I’m just thankful at this point that I had the foresight to rent a 4-wheel-drive for the trip. The funniest part about my box comments was that I didn’t even think about how pervily they could be taken until I posted and went back and read. Then, believe you me, my mind was right there with you. I think I even might have mumbled something about, “oh I’ll keep him tied down, alright”

Tammy~ Oh my dear gods! That is breathtaking. Thank you so much!

Marielle~ I read a study once that said that ironing and cleaning windows are tied for the world’s most hated chore. I do remember, though, something about the British are supposed to be more reserved in public? Something about the British stiff upper lip or something. I’ve never seen it myself, honestly. I mean, one thing I’ve always loved about Rob particularly is that he does totally put his heart out there. Yes, you’re right about the contrast in attitudes. I honestly think it’s one of the reasons why the producers are trying to walk a very fine line, balancing SM’s conservative values on one side and the “soft porn” expectations of rabid fans on the other. Don’t get me wrong. While I want to see passion and love, I absolutely don’t want anything graphic. My biggest thing is that moment when Edward realizes that he’s not a monster, that he can’t ever hurt her. I know I’m a total purist and I would never want to lose what the books give us. But, I really do wish we wouldn’t see BroodyEdward the morning after. That was one moment I seriously considered that Bella should just slap the boy upside the back of his marble head. ARGH!! Yes, the first night is important to me. But, it’s the second time that I’m truly looking forward to!

Mel~ Hey girlie! Hope Buddy got to school on time. I’m sure Buddy would never be embarrassed of you and I certainly don’t think you look like an airship. But, healthy and able to keep up with an energetic munchkin like yours is never bad.
Jaclyn~ Pull that sword and defend them to the death, sweetie! I’m sure I would have had an excellent time debating the merits of the Twiverse. I’ve actually had many similar conversations with BigBrother. He’s actually uttered the sentence, “but real vampires don’t sparkle in the sun, they explode!” I literally burst out laughing! The Golden Globes are the movie industry awards given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. They are pretty much considered precursors and predictors of the Oscars. They air Sunday night (8 pm my time) and I know they air live here in the US. I’m not sure about internationally, but I know that there is usually an international audience. Honestly, my dream was soooo vivid. The look on his face was priceless, utter shock. I remember so clearly him turning to Kristen and her kind of giving him a squeeze and saying, “now go”, and he kind of shook his head and looked at her again and she was just nodding her head and saying, “you have to go.” So sweet.

Alright, off to work with me. Today, particularly with all the news about Cosmopolis this weekend, this is my inspiration. *swoon*
