I think Somerhalder will be as good an Ian as Pattinsson is Edward...
Aka, he will do a good enough job, but I don't think he can make that feeling come across. So very few actors can. I'm also in horror over who they will make Wanderer...

About my snowflake tattoo's...
It's been a week or two since it was asked, I know. But I remembered it today while cooking. Yes, I cooked. D's at work and since pup's prefers a drink in the milk bar every now and then I better behave as far as eating (fairly) regularly comes.
I already have 2 snowflakes, one for a child I cared for regularly for 1½ year, and the other for my godchild. I have said from the beginning I will have all my children tattooed, in the end it will be a snowfall/avalanche down my neck and shoulder.
The idea of making my avatar a tattoo isn't half bad, but then it would be as a symbol of another love, someone who means a lot to me, and whom I'm always trying to snare away from her hubby. 'Nuff said.

i get where everyone's coming from im not saying Somerhalders a bad actor i just don't see him as ian + :o Ninna i hadn't even thought about who would play Wanderer/ Mel
(****ducks various punches/ blunt objects being thrown  **** i LUV Rob as Edward, or as anything in fact ha ha.)
obieewok wrote:I'll only say this: Ian Somerhalder is a God. He can be missing front teeth and have horrid body odor and I'd pay to watch him act out Hamlet ALONE. It doesn't matter to me----No, I have yet to read the Host, and am planning on rectifying that as soon as the raunch books wear off. I get what you peeps are saying, about wanting someone serious and all, but I don't think of Ian as just being Damon. I think it's because we haven't seen what he's able to do yet. But like I already said and agree with Halls on---he could read the donkidoo yellow pages to me and I'd pay him. So bring it.

Haven't watched the newest episode of Doctor Who yet, so no one tell me about the Angels. I didn't like the Dalek one at all, so I'm hoping the Angels will rock.
Obs thats a valid point i guess i mean alls we've seen him act is Damon ( was he Boone in Lost as well) its true we've only seen a tiny part of what he can do.
p.s. the angels in Dr Who will rock its a 2 part episode and its ace!

hope all the lexlings have had/are having a good day :)

Hi Everyone!! So it's been like a month since I've been on here (wow I can't believe it's that long. But it has! I've missed like 20 pages.)

So the most exciting thing that's happened to me in the last month was I got to go see Lifehouse & Daughtry in concert!! It was AMAZING!!! At first I didn't think I'd be able to go but the tickets ended up being a lot cheaper than I thought they would be. :D I went with one of my really good friends who I've known since High School & we had such a blast! And we were able to get floor tickets which was so cool! In the middle of the floor so we had a pretty good view of them. We were in the back row of the middle group.(They had the floor split into three sections.) The first group to perform was a band called Cavo, who I've never heard of. They were pretty good. And then Lifehouse came on and they were just AWESOME!! They are my favorite band & so it was SOO COOL to be able to see them in concert!! (I like Daughtry too. They're my #2 fav band, but Lifehouse will always be #1 in my heart.) My voice was already gone half way through Lifehouse's performance from screaming so much! And singing a long. And then Daughtry performed and they were awesome as well. And since I have all of Daughtry & Lifehouse's cd's I was album to sing a long to every song! So much fun! And about 15 feet behind where we were was the tech/sound guys & during part of Daughtry's performance Lifehouse came & hung out back there. They were like 15 feet behind me! I was so bummed I couldn't go talk to them or get their autograph. For like the last month I've only listened to their music! But I was able to take a few pictures of them (which turned out better than I thought because my digital camera is kind of new & I haven't figured out the settings yet & it was dark in there & stage lights were going everywhere.) So it was prett darn cool! I got a Lifehouse t-shirt and then a Daughry keychain & Lifehouse keychain. Definitely the highlight of my year so far & will most likely be the highlight of 2010 for me.

Well not much else to say. I hope everyone's doing well!!

Hi all,
long time no post, sorry for that.
I will try to give you all an adequate update about what's going on in my life, and maybe start being more active on here now, since I should have a good deal more free time starting next week.
First off, to anyone who didn't see my thirteen status updates on facebook, I celebrated my one year clean on May 5th, yes Cinco de Mayo, and am feeling really good about life.
I also am in training to become a training specialist at work (Taco Johns),and am therefore turning in the towel at my other job (Eileen's Colossal Cookies) in order to keep my schedule open for this "career advancement opportunity"
They say they will also start training me to become a shift manager once I get "training specialist certified", which will be cool.
I am also looking forward to Sarah coming and spending the whole Summer with me, she'll be here in only 25 days and I am so super excited.
(a la Al Gore) I'm super cereal you guys!
lol
Other than that, I have just been going to meetings and trying to stay busy, which hasn't been too hard, what with still working two jobs, but it has made it difficult to give my lexily the time they rightly deserve.
Hope to do better, here soon.
To all the new faces, welcome!
We have fun here.
lol
Well, I don't really know what else to say, so I will bid you all adieu for now, and try to come back and check in maybe tomorrow or the next day.
Much Love to all,
~Codaniel~

Interesting story for the day, to keep up with my "make me pee my pants Obs" quota.

A while back, stories were passed around about people's first kiss. They were for the most part nice and sweet and made you go "ahhhhh". Not so for mine.

A boy named Joe totally ruined my very first kiss. We were ten, we were neighbors and I HATED HIM. We had some stupid garage sale and my great grandmother, thinking herself to be clever and to get rid of some of the clutter, put my very favorite toy in the sale: A Billy Baloney puppet. See here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 602_263622

And can anyone guess who bought, for TEN FREAKING CENTS, for ONE FREAKING DIME, my doll?

Yep. Spawn of Satan himself, Joe.

It would have been ok (no it wouldn't have) if he would have just played with it or kept it out of my sight. But nooooo----tool that he was, he had to go rubbing it in my face, making me remember that he bought the stupid thing and that it was his, not mine, and never would be mine again. I tried baking the jerk cookies, I tried cleaning his yard for him and doing his chores, I even tried a little light breaking and entering when his family went on vacation-----the jerk just made sure to take the stupid doll with him. I begged and pleaded but NOTHING short of a miracle was going to get me my doll back.

One day, while we were outside fighting yet again over the true ownership of Billy Baloney, a dog took off with it. Joe had the flu, and was already green, but still he ran after the big ugly canine for almost a mile before his chunky sick rear gave up. He returned to a very shattered little ten year old girl, crying uncontrollably on his front porch.

And like all men, Joe thought he could make it better. With a kiss. So he angled my head up and proceeded to give Obs a nice big smacker. Obs was in the midst of trying to remember why she hated Joe so much when he reminded her: by puking all over her face, arms, chest. legs, you name it. Since Joe had the flu and had ran that mile, he wasn't feeling so well. But to a ten year old girl who hadn't kissed anyone before? Poor Obs. She thought she was so bad at kissing a guy puked. So instead of listening to Joe's apologies (and believe me, there were plenty) she took off home, covered in puke and tears. She didn't come out all weekend and said she was sick on Monday. Joe came over, since he was home sick, snuck in her window like a creepy Edward Cullen and gave her his most prized possession to make up for Billy and the kiss: a bunny shaped blue blankie named Sylvester that he adored and never slept without. (alright, now you can go "ahhhhhh")

So yes, my first kiss was ridonkulously awful. Joe and Obs joked that Obs would never ever be able to kiss another boy again thanks to that traumatic incident, but oh, how wrong we were. She's more than made up for it and her kissing skills are so phat that in some countries (I'm forgetting which ones at the moment. Wait, where do you live? No, not there.) they have statues dedicated to Obs and her kissing techniques, which she calls the "grab and smooch" or "grabooch".

And what ever became of jerkface Joe? Well, after offering his sacrifice, he didn't really want to be away from Sylvester. So Obs and Joe spent lots of time together, mostly bickering over the custodial arrangement of said blankie. This lasted through junior high and when Obs moved a few towns away, Joe still came to visit and continued to do so throughout high school, even though somewhere along the way Sylvester stopped being an issue. He took Obs to his prom, the only one she ever went to, and proceeded to puke on her AGAIN, this time not due to kissing but to getting sloshed on Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill, and Obs didn't talk to him for like a month.

I'd like to say that it lasted, but as we speak the jerkface is cracking up at me over instant message and he says to make sure you all knew that he totally didn't care about Sylvester that much. Such a liar. After almost twenty friends of friend-hate-dom, you'd think he'd be more truthful. Especially since when he gave the stupid blankie to Lu when she was ten hours old, he cried at the loss. Jerkface.

So that's the long long story of Ob's first kiss and traumatic man experiences. And to Joe, whom I know will figure out a way to slither his tool face into here; Your wife called and says you still kiss the same as when you were ten. And just because you live in Tennessee doesn't mean I won't come after you. You KNOW THIS loser.

Happy Tuesday, and hopefully, no puke.

Smooch (but not to you Toolface)

Obs

Ters, remember I live in Tennessee, so I can totally go beat him up for you. Nevermind I'm not good at fighting, he doesn't have to know that. O wait, guess I shouldn't say that out loud. lol

Obs, that was totally an "AWWWWW" story!
Holly, if he's not scared of you, you can always borrow one of those murderous looking guide-dogs that you have as profile-pic on FB. That ought to scare the living blankets out of him

my sewing room (read dinner table) is a huger mess than usual since last weeks mommy-group meeting when all the winter stuff just got hauled in there to make room for guest's clothes. I need to train my pup to pick up after me :) it's all his fault anyway, since the few days that hasn't been slam-packed with more important things to do, he's been such a crybaby that I've been going to pieces. I have a few hat-projects to finish (read start...) and then I'm going to make flowers :D
Because in the middle of June me and pup will travel half the way to Becca to meet pup's betrothed. Pup's godfather tried to imply that marrying of your children is obsolete and that they should be allowed to marry for love. Of course they are, as long as it is to each other. DUH! Besides, their names fit perfectly together and I like Lava's mom. Everything's settled! Plus, they look good together... just a little photoshopped...

again.. since i really don't visit here much.. there's so many things to catch up. but since i'm too lazy to do so.. my 'catching up' plan is an epic fail *hides in shame*

anyways...

on may 10. i (and Honey) was able to vote (finally) and proud to be a part of the (philippine) history. =D
the candidate i voted for did not win but he's gentleman enough to concede.

i feel stupid. i deleted my old Twitter account just to stay away from this dude i met there. but then i ended up following him on my new account. =( i really like him. he feels otherwise although it's okay with him. ah well nevermind.

anyways. maybe i can come up with a better post next time.

xx
