AMANDA BETH~~ How's your writing going? I have written ABSOLUTELY nothing since school started. *SIGH* We are on Fall break for the next four days. I hope to be able to sit down and do some writing, but I don't want to be one of those fan fic authors who starts posting and then keeps readers waiting for an updated for months.

I wrote two one-shots for The Hunger Games (I love that series more than Twilight--can you believe thats possible!?) But I don't plan on writing anymore full fanfics. I actually have a semi-written one-shot for TPC, but I want to finish my book by the end of the year so maybe that will be a new years treat lol.

AB, your Hunger Games stories are both beautiful! I loved them. I think HG will be the next big thing in fanfiction. The number of stories is exploding.

Oh yeah, and when the movie comes out (if they ever freaking cast the characters) it'll be even bigger, just like Twilight. The biggest thing I've noticed between Twilight and THG fandom is the age range. On mockingjay.net forums where I post, there are a LOT of kids like 14, 15 years old. It gets a bit annoying because...well, they're 14, 15 years old and they act like it (even though THEY think they're 'mature for their age'). Example: we thought the Twilight fandom was upset about KS/RP being cast as Bella/Edward, I think these kids will threatened suicide if Kaya Scodelario isn't cast as Katniss. Chloe Moretz has mentioned the role several times and every time she's brought up these kids say the most juvenile and mean things about her.

Are there any specific ones you were looking for? I have several that I'm happy to share. Also, I know there are several programs that will allow you to pull FFs directly to your Kindle. I haven't used any of them, but many of my girls on some of the fanfic boards have and they swear by them. Hope this helps.

So, Jazz, do you know which one works best with fanfiction? Or can you load any of them and set them up in live journal? Just asking because it would be cool to offer my fanfic to others and get some onto my ITouch.

I posted this on Writer's thread and forgot to post it here. It may be something some fanfic writers may think of in the future. They'll need to change the characters names obvi, and take out the smut, but if authors like Ang and SR write another story they may actually be able to make money off of them.

Rings:

The *.pdf format should work on your Kindle, but if it handles that format like my Nook, it isn't that great. For many of the pdf files you load, you will likely have the following issues:

* No Table of Contents. Not that big of a deal, but you won't be able to jump to any chapter.
* Only one readable font. The resizing font doesn't work well, it's either too small or too large.
* Word flow. Unless the file was saved with this recent correction that Adobe provided, you will see paragraph breaks where none exist in the original doc.

It is possible to convert pdf to your native e-reader format, though you will need a separate utility. I use "calibre".

I used JG's site, http://flag.erayd.net/, as a test to see if it worked. I loaded in the FF ID number, then specificed EPUB, and the site immediately compiled the story complete with a TOC. Very nice.
