Re: Midnight Sun Partial draft release --Express your feelings

My point here was that it is a threat, for lack of a better phrase. Midnight Sun is "indefinitely on hold". I don't pretend to know for a fact that SM will or will not publish the remainder of the book, but placing the novel "on hold" is the nice way of saying we might never see...

Re: Midnight Sun Partial draft release --Express your feelings

I think the proper response would have been to take a break from writing it, deal with the cretin who leaked her stuff, and then get back to it, not threaten her entire fan base with the possibility of never getting to read this book they've been waiting for so long for. Well, we have no indication...

Re: Midnight Sun Partial draft release --Express your feelings

But.... come on??? What about us, her "loyal fans" as she put it. Why do we all have to suffer for some idiot's actions? I understand your frustration, because we all badly want this book. But would you really want a book that Stephenie herself was unhappy to write and that probably would...

Re: What is Stephenie working on?

I'm sure that Stephenie feels betrayed and hurt right now, and I understand why she feels she can't work on the project while she feels that way. However, I hope that in time she will be able to return to it and that she knows that her readers would be thrilled to have a completed and published book...

Re: Bella Swan Cullen

I myself don't think that Bella is strong (quite the opposite) and found her trip to the ballet studio to be based more on stupidity and giving in to her emotions than strength. I think Bella being gullible is pretty much canon at this point--Edward even comments on it in Eclipse, though his explan...

Re: Bella Swan Cullen

I think Bella's behavior towards Kate was entirely understandable and justifiable--Kate was threatening to hurt her child! Yes, she was frustrated and tired and wished that she could control the power, so Kate's remarks annoyed her. She was trying really hard, and regardless of who you are, if you'r...

Re: Renesmee

In all these instances, and more in the book, Renesmee catches folks up in their hate, fear and prejudices, turns the picture over, the same picture, but from a good point of view, with love. I think that was actually most of my problem with her. It would be one thing if she were just Renesmee, Bel...

Re: Renesmee

I realize this is truly a minor point, but it bothered me while I was reading--why on earth was Renesmee's hair so long? I understand it was supposed to show her accelerated aging, but how old was she supposed to be? Most three and even four year olds I know do NOT have hair down to their waists, es...

Re: Renesmee

Just a quick clarification--I think Nessie is probably a great character and I can't wait to hear more about her from her own perspective. But I think that because we only heaad about her through her adoring mother, what was probably a well-rounded and interesting character became a bit one-dimensio...

Re: Renesmee

I didn't dislike Renesmee, but I thought there might have been an issue with having Bella's daughter be a character in a story told from Bella's perspective. Obviously, every mother thinks that their baby is perfect, and Bella is no exception. And to me, Renesmee became kind of the ultimate Mary Sue...
