Re: Rob's Halfway House #11

Songbird -- Yay party! Lots of work, of course, but well worth it. I'm actually in the process of planning a party for my husband's birthday, so I know the feeling. Lynne -- That's great that you got a copy of your book! Does it feel as wonderful as you hoped to hold it in your hand? I'll be praying...

Re: Rob's Halfway House #11

Sorry I haven't posted in a while -- this thread exploded while I was dealing with Thanksgiving family drama and trying to make my NaNoWriMo word count recover after my computer issue (which turned out to be a RAM chip, not the screen). Wow. (Going back to read it all...it's difficult to sort out si...

Re: The New Ending **SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS**

Another take on Carlisle -- I've never thought of him as the hippy dippy sort of peace/love kinda guy. Instead, I've thought of him as very MORAL. He is against harming innocent people because it is wrong. He doesn't want his friends to risk their lives in something that isn't their fight. However, ...

Re: Rob's Halfway House #11 **SPOILER FREE ZONE**

Aaarg! I left to drop my brother off at work and my dog took the sofa all apart -- cushions all over the floor, etc. And a laptop with a screen that won't turn on. Midway through National Novel Writing Month. Lucky for me, I have a spare and a protection plan -- but SERIOUSLY??? I'm currently on hol...

Re: Rob's Halfway House #11 **SPOILER FREE ZONE**

So I typed up a big giant post earlier and accidentally deleted it – I should have been doing one this size in MS Word. Alas. Here I go again. Songbird – It’s great to meet you! I don’t care what I’m called. I like my username well enough, I guess – so if it takes people a while to learn my name, th...

Re: Rob's Halfway House #11 **SPOILER FREE ZONE**

I do like Rob, so I guess I'm welcome here! :) Some of you asked me to introduce myself, so here goes... My offline name is Rose. I'm 24, married to a awesome guy who also likes Twilight, and I live in Southern California with my hubby and our 7-month-old shephed/lab pup named Seth. I write young ad...

Re: The New Ending

Great point about Alice not being able to see the wolves. That just makes me think even more that it's a ploy to get more action into the film, to try to market it to action fans. Aaarg.

Re: Rob's Halfway House #11 **SPOILER FREE ZONE**

I actually have a question about the Halfway House -- is this something that anyone is allowed to join, or is it a "closed group?" It's fine if it is closed, I'm just wondering. :)

Re: The New Ending

I'm a bit undecided on the dual ending thing. I pretty much figured, before this, that they would do something actiony that only happened inside Alice's head. On the down side, I'm not usually one for a big twist that fakes out the audience. It feels manipulative and futile, since it doesn't have an...

Re: General illustrations in the Illustrated Guide

I loved all of the drawings.

While I also wanted more drawings of the Volturi and the wolves, I do wonder if size/space was the issue. I mean, that's one huge block of color glossy paper right there. :p
