Re: Regina Spektor

oooh, I absolutely adore Regina! She's so kooky and adorable. Her songs, while beautiful, are also just plain fun. I've pretty much worn out Begin to Hope, my favorite song being Samson. Yes, she is Russian. She actually sings some in Russian during Apres Moi (I think its that song). I remember seei...

Re: The Dating Thread--take 2

So even though Im still pretty new here and don't really know everyone that well, I'm so happy right now that I want to share my good news! My amazing Russian (I don't know why I feel the need to put that in there, but he was born and raised in Russia until he was 13, then he moved to Texas. I think...

Re: Wild about Harry, the Harry Potter book discussion

Oh my...I hope you didn't read any spoilers for book 7. It's soooo amazingly good. So many memorable, emotional moments (both good and bad). It's absolutely my favorite book of the series, with HBP coming in a very close 2nd. I only have one complaint for DH, and it is (Spoiler!!, highlight to read)...

Re: Wild about Harry, the Harry Potter book discussion

Ok, seriously, is there something wrong with me? I got to the part where Hermione formed S.P.E.W. today and I started bawling. And speaking of elves, I would just like to go on the record as saying that Ron and Hermione's first kiss was absolutely perfect. I cry when I get to that part too, but in D...

Re: Wild about Harry, the Harry Potter book discussion

From what I understand, its not that they thought Americans were dumb, its that apparently the majority of Americans were put off by philosophy (At least, thats what I remember Dan saying during an interview). Right before the HBP movie got pushed back, I had decided to do a reread of the series. I ...

Re: Songs that remind you of Twilight

There are many songs that remind me of certain parts of Twilight, but right now I can only think of 3: Bjork - Pagan Poetry - Reminds me of Bella in Twilight and her obsession with Edward, specifically at the part when she's singing "I love him, I love him" over and over, and "He makes me want to ha...

Re: Rate the Quote

8/10 - For some reason, I feel like that quote is very Twilight-y. :D First line from Bella, Second from Edward of course. hehe

Ok, keeping in using quotes from songs:
"If you never say your name out loud or to anyone they can never ever call you by it" - from Better by Regina Spektor

Re: Rpatz=love

I could literally stare at that picture for hours and hours and still be drooling when I stopped. <3 Couldn't have found a better Edward. Also, music wise - when I first heard him, I though he was kinda bad (though, hotter for being a musician hehe). However, now he's in the pretty ok-ish range for ...
