Re: Chris Weitz --New Moon movie director

I've seen The Golden Compass- one of the movies produced by Chris- and I was mightily impressed with it. I was in the middle of the book, so after seeing the movie, it was impossible to continue reading, seeing as it spoiled everything for me. I know this is an older post but if you didn't finish t...

Re: Ashley Greene as Alice

I liked Ashley's spikey hair better but I like the new Rosalie hair. I felt like it looked dyed in the Twilight movie so now it looks a lot more natural. Heh, random thought: I wonder if they will keep the scene where Bella has to fall into Alice's arms. It would look so funny because Alice/Ashley i...

Re: Worried about the New Moon movie?

There is just no other way. NM has to be about 3 hours
I agree! That would be awesome and we would all like it better. No reason it shouldn't be longer IMO. :D

Re: New Moon Movie Take 4...and a half

When I first saw, I felt a little iffy, but I got over it fast. Even if he isn't "dazzling," he has a lot of charisma and is a good actor, and I think he can pull off Aro. I think that scene with the Volturi will now be a lot creepier. If the Ben Barnes-being-considered thing was true, may...

Re: New Moon Movie ~ Take 2

If they're filming them at the same time, with a small budget . . . *Headdesk*

Re: New Moon Movie ~ Take 2

I think mostly we're concerned about: 1. Stephenie still having input on the movie, so that it can remain as close to the book as possible. 2. Taylor not being replaced as Jacob Black. 3. The film should not be rushed, and the 50 mil budget is worrying when the phasing wolves and Italy is taken into...

Re: New Moon Movie ~ Take 2

The Lexicon blog has the Summit address up now, fyi. If a lot of people sent letters about our concerns in a polite, yet firm way maybe we could make a difference. I mean it's worth a shot, right?

Re: Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black

I think what is more important is if Taylor can act the part, not if he's 6'7. No offense to anyone who thinks otherwise, but I think judging him on just appearance is kind of shallow. He has enthusiasm for the story and that is more than some actors can say.

Re: New Moon Movie ~ Take 2

This makes me feel queasy: Summit Entertainment has tentatively slated Nov. 20, 2009, as the release date for New Moon, the Twilight sequel, which means any director who signs on to replace Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has to be in Vancouver by Dec. 15 to begin 12 weeks of preproduction bef...

Re: New Moon Movie ~ Take 2

The problem with Golden Compass is it wasn't true to the book in tone or story. The order of events were messed up, the feel of the movie was much different than the book, and the ending was completely butchered. The ending to the book was so moving it made me cry, and so epic I was in awe. So to me...
