Re: Leah Clearwater

But I need to know why. Leah is my favorite character and I want to know why she is the way she is. Chimerism is the only explanation that makes sense to me so I'm going with it. Stephenie hasn't said anything on the matter, and until she does, that's what I'm going with. I say go with it, suzeeQ ,...

Re: Emily Young

She is probably used to it, and it's probably not the only scandal in La Push. But I do think it bothers her. Especially not being able to tell her family the specifics about what happened. If it were me, I wouldn't care what the storekeeper down the road thought about me being a home wrecker. But i...

Re: Emily Young

New question time! :D

Do Emily's parents know the truth about what happened to her face? Do they fully support her marriage to Sam, with or without that knowledge?

Re: Leah Clearwater

I agree with Pendragon . I don't think SM wasn't thinking about chimerism when making Leah the first female werewolf. It was just a coincidence. Also, it might have been a writing tool to heighten the drama in the Sam/Leah/Emily triangle. I mean, how horrible is that? To have to hear thoughts about ...

Re: Edward and Bella 2

Good observation and I agree. However, I think what we were leaning towards is the idea that some people have about finding someone and thinking, if they would just stop doing this or start doing that, they'd be perfect. Or those that enter a relationship with the "need" to "fix" someone. I never s...

Re: Edward and Bella 2

Another question, brought over by request of Dark Knight is a discussion we were/are having over in Edward's thread regarding the "perfect partner". We all agree there is no such thing as a perfect partner and that when you love and pursue a relationship with someone you accept them, faults and all...

Re: True Love? Reality or Myth

The glass is always half empty, huh Knives ? :D Oh well, a nice strong shot of nihilism (as gamb1t catagorized it) is sometimes needed to keep things from getting too fluffy. Maybe the Team Edward thread could use some... In reality, this cultural belief is both dangerous and self-destructive,...

Re: Edward and Bella 2

Just having a spot of fun, una ! And I assure you, the double post was quite unintentional. The offending parties, namely my decrepid computer, have been castigated thoroughly. :) As for Bella actually thinking through things, IMO she doesn't. Even though she tries to be analytical, she really is a ...

Re: Bella Swan Cullen #3

That makes things a little clearer. Sort of a Band of Brothers thing, or code of Bushido. Women don't generally subscribe to this view, a woman "in battle" usually fights until the end, and as dirty and humiliating as possible. Can't really get behind that philosophy. Having three sisters, I absolut...
