Re: Writers Central

I keep mine saved on my PC hard drive... Laptop hard drive... Flash drive, and external back up hard drive. Once completed, (rough drafts) I traditionally send copies out to close friends, so worse comes to worse, they also have copies too! Granted I also have an agent, so she gets a copy too! :P O...

Re: Contradictions in the Guide

Well, SM did as good of a job as she possibly could with the others, but the Volturi were always going to present a problem of feeding a lot of vampires without detection. True, this isn’t an actual contradiction, just another gap that wasn’t filled in by the Guide, though I was very interested in ...

Re: Writers Central

Super congrats Kayla!!!! My own novel is currently at 41,000, and I'm not even close to being half done... Ugh... I can't wait for the editing phase though. It's tidous, but at the same time, as you already have all the important stuff out of your head, you can spend time thinking, tweaking, changi...

Re: Contradictions in the Guide

Thank you for reminding us that this is a make-believe world, and not necessarily supposed to be consistent or logical. Maybe this is why there are so many inconsistencies in the books, including the Guide. After all, even "real" life is not always consistent or logical. "A foolish consistency is t...

Re: Contradictions in the Guide

I think it's interesting that ALL of those who carry the gene have 24 pairs of chromosomes. What if one of them had their DNA tested or had gotten arrested and their DNA was entered into a database and someone noticed the 24 chromosomes? Don't you think someone would be suspicious? In the Twilight ...

Re: Contradictions in the Guide

In the books, starting in Eclipse and throughout Breaking Dawn, we are told that when a werewolf imprints the imprinter and imprintee are both affected. In Eclipse, when Bella asks Jacob if the imprintee gets a choice, Jacob says that they do but that it's hard to resist that 'level of devotion'. I...

Re: Contradictions in the Guide

I noticed a few more.... Time Line issue on page 405... Meyer writes when speaking of the following time line in regards to the vampires and werewolves spans hundreds of thousands of years, yet the earliest recorded time (of which concerns the Volturi) is 1400-1200 B.C. From 1400 B.C. to the presen...

Re: I LOVE THE GUIDE!

All in all, I'm a huge dope when it comes to backstory information in regards to almost any large fantasy series. I've read Tolkien's Silmarilian, of which basically told the ENTIRE history of Middle Earth from creation to destruction, as well as others of its nature. So picking up the new Guide wa...

Re: Contradictions in the Guide

The only major contradiction that I've seen, is on page 154... Aro's date of birth is somewhere around 1300 BCE His date of transforamtion is somewhere around 1260 BCE of which would make him close to being in his 40's. However, his bio states that he was transformed in his mid-twenties. The correc...

Re: Children of the Moon

I was surprised that the Childen of the Moon, were more akin to the traditional Hollywood werewolves, in terms of appearance, as well as transmutation. I was even more surprised to find that they couldn't pass on their "condition" via birth. I would think that if a vampire could create a hybrid, so...
