Re: Writers Central

I'll be honest, writing via Iphone, does have a learning curve, but for me at least, it sure beats lugging a notebook PC around (unless you have the space for it) or a steno pad. I use a few writing programs, and once you get over the initial rethinking, you can write pretty quickly. Now... I would...

Re: Writers Central

Stalling has become my middle name lately. But, I am headed over to WORD now to try and finish up this chapter today. Same here... It seems that life keeps getting in the way. By the time I have TIME to write, my brain is so wiped out, that I'm good to write "POTATO"... :p However, I manage. It is ...

Re: Mythical creatures: Vampires, Werewolves, Unicorns, etc.

On Werewolves... A few months back I was reading a review of Universal's remake of the "Wolfman" and I came across a supposed Twi-Hard letter to the famed studio. The contents of the letter were quite absurd, as she claimed that Unversal Studios stole the concept of werewolves from Stephenie Meyer ...

Re: Writers Central

Was able to do a bit of scripting this morning as well. Currently I'm working on the second part of "Hour of Darkness" called Darkness Within . I've already mapped out the story and it is pretty developed, albiet a bit darker (no pun intended) than the first. I only got about 15 min of writing in t...

Re: Writers Central

Oye vey... I can relate... story development can be quite difficult at times. In most cases I try to develop some sort of outline first before I start a rough draft. If I can get the most important information out of the way first, I can then go back in a fill in all the details in the "rewrite". T...

Re: Writers Central

I agree missp, I think if anything, fanfiction keeps the excitement in a series alive, even after the author is "finished" with it. What would George Lucas be without all the authors who are in truth writing (PAID) fanfiction for him. The author still gets all the credit for creating the world, and...

Re: Writers Central

[edit] I wrote a whole bunch, but I have now decided that all fanfic conversation should probably stop in this thread. This is for talking about us writing. It's why we started it up again, so as to not overflow the fanfic thread. I know you're only curious, Alpha, but you keep coming off a little ...

Re: Writers Central

http://www.twifans.com/profiles/blogs/stephenie-meyer-talks-twilight Here is an article from an alt fan site that I found concerning Stephenie Meyer and her thoughts about FanFiction... It's pretty interesting really... I can certainly see her point. Having friends in the biz, one who is producing,...

Re: Writers Central

Vampiric "law" as it were is to prohibit immortal children- those too young to understand the need for secrecy. I'm not sure what age that would be, but even the youngest-looking vampires we know of seem to be in their early teens. Now if you're talking younger than that, I would have to say the Vo...
