Re: Choices aka Ars Longa Vita Brevis

First, I must say that, as a newcomer, I am in love with this thread. I'm thrilled to have a place to truly discuss all things Twilight, aside from what it appears are becoming my regular meetings with Mandustries . :P Until he sees the vision in Alice's head, Edward has no idea that he loves Bella....

I'm quite glad I met and married Ken before I read about Edward. He would kind of ruin the playing field, fictional or not. I have'nt even asked mine to go...

Re: Gen Y---the twenty somethings thread

Oh. My. GOODNESS. They're adorable.

Maybe I'll start telling people my daughter was named after the character...Although I like the story of how we chose Isabella quite a bit. I will admit though, I'm considering talking my husband into one of the vampire boys names if we ever have a son...

Re: Gen Y---the twenty somethings thread

Oh man, Jnco's. I remember when I desperately wanted a pair of those so I'd look cool. Middle School ... I don't miss it one bit. In 8th grade, that was pretty much my uniform...ridiculously big jeans, doc marten 8-eye boots and whatever shirt I ended up in that day. I don't know... I haven't enjoy...

Re: Gen Y---the twenty somethings thread

You don't like girlpants! Oh man, so uncool. ;) (Totally joking, by the way!) I remember wearing sweatpants and bike shorts to all of elementary and a little of middle school. I guess I just wasn't looking, but I don't remember there being the type of clothes there are today for young girls when we...

Re: What are you reading

Khaled Hosseini - The Kite Runner....Again, this one is just AMAZING. It wasn't what I was expecting, it was so much better That book was A-MAZING in it's own rite. I nearly cried several times! Right now I'm reading The Pact. I can't remember the name of the author, but it's the same author that w...

Re: Gen Y---the twenty somethings thread

My friend and I were talking about this earlier today! I was complaining that it seemed like the Disney Channel was taking over the VMAs this year, what with Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and the cast of high school musical, and she said, "You know what it is? We're experiencing the generational c...

Re: Gen Y---the twenty somethings thread

So what songs inspire Twilight thoughts in your head? "All Mine" and "Elysium" by Portishead. The lyrics work for me, and the music is kind of creepy and ethereal, so it seemed to fit, to me at least. Not that I'm at all creeped out by the Cullens. In fact, mandustries and I went for coffee this ev...

Re: Just Vent

Ugh, I HATE my neighbours dog! It just bit my cat and she is limping and her leg is bloody! I absolutely hate that dog!! !!!!!!! I'd have lost it! My vent? My husband's Payroll is staffed by a bunch of idiots. His manager made a mistake and submitted his time card twice, and so, instead of re...

Re: Gen Y---the twenty somethings thread

So what songs inspire Twilight thoughts in your head? (Sad songs remind me of New Moon ... can you tell I read the entire book needing Edward to come back? :)) I, too read Twilight wondering when Edward would be back. I'm relatively sure that if he hadn't returned, I would have been thrown into a p...
