I think the Cullens, because they needed to blend in with humans so much more than most other vampires (the non-vegetarian kind) needed to "move with the time"...evolve.... kind of like Lestat. He needs imperfections.... it's why he seems so "real" to so many readers.

It's difficult to compare, because both are oh so different.
