Re: Twilight under the Sorting Hat

Perhaps so ringswraith , but Jacob is pure Gryffindor to me! He's a natural-born hero, not terribly bookish, not terribly patient . . . just . . . Gryffindor! He also comes across as very selfish, and some would argue that he's definitely had his share of manipulating Bella- both Slytherin-type tra...

Re: Glee - the Television series

LOVED this week's episode.

Made me cry.

"Baby It's Cold Outside" is just wonderful. Anyone else feel like Blaine made up that story just to get Kurt to sing (with him)?

Also, is it me, or is the last song (the one they sing in the faculty break room) not on iTunes?

Re: Twilight under the Sorting Hat

Random thought: It would be nice if we could get a poll going. Have people vote on which house they think TW characters would be in.

I just know someone out there's wanting to put Jacob in Slytherin. :ugeek:

Re: Twilight under the Sorting Hat

Well I was in the middle of composing a reply late last night/early morning but that got sidetracked by this awesome game involving "werewolves" (and I use the term very loosely). So, to wit. I'm still not convinced about the whole "diet" issue showing courage. Perhaps in the beginning, when they w...

Re: Twilight under the Sorting Hat

Because we never really see the big deal. Sure, we have a coven that, for all intents and purposes, flies in the face of what it (supposedly) means to be a vampire (i.e., eating- or more properly, feeding off- humans). "Special diet" jokes aside, that's exactly what it is- a diet. Would we call wha...

Re: Twilight under the Sorting Hat

As a counterpoint to Jazz Girl 's post (and referencing that same quote of Dumbledore's, to Snape)- when exactly in this series are we sorting the characters? Most (if not all) of Edward's sacrifices occur after he meets Bella. Are we sorting him after considering everything that happens in the fou...

Re: Glee - the Television series

I'm going to spoiler this just in case. Sectionals Take Two I have to say, I'm rather disappointed by this episode. It all feels rushed- like someone said "I have an idea (to shake things up)!" and it really should have taken them at least two episodes to do it properly. Consider last season's Sect...

Re: Twilight under the Sorting Hat

Well, I am thinking of courage in more general terms. Certainly it takes courage to face a vastly superior foe, but it also takes courage to admit to someone that you're wrong and ask for their forgiveness. Perhaps TW isn't as... momentous as HP is with regards to good versus evil events. But in wh...

Re: Edward Cullen #6

P.S. Is anyone else imagining Edward showing up in the Hufflepuff common room, running into Cedric Diggory, and both of them going, "Whoa..." Edward can't be Hufflepuff for that reason alone - the Rob effect is blowing my mind. ;) Hm, but by that logic, the Weasley twins shouldn't have both been so...

Re: Edward Cullen #6

Might I play devil's advocate here for a bit? What exactly makes one think Edward would be in Gryffindor? Courage? Pre-Bella, I don't really see that. (And- well, not post, but during-Bella- his willingness to put himself before danger stems completely out of a sense of protectiveness of Bella.) As...
