Re: Digital Reading: e-books discussion

It also looks like there's a Nook 2 coming out, with a full color (touch?) screen.

Re: Twilight Fanfiction Discussion Thread 2

Well, I was expecting another Submissive/Dominant-type story, and while there are elements of it in there I was surprised at the direction the story goes.

Re: Explorations

Well to be fair, Bella isn't a zero. We have some known traits that help define her as a person. She's stubborn. She is used to being the caretaker. She's into books. She's intelligent. She's extremely clumsy. She blushes easily. Thing is, this isn't a whole character. There's enough to give us a s...

Re: Digital Reading: e-books discussion

I think that's true of any e-reader though. The Kindle definitely has a vast assortment of free books- anything that's old enough to be in public domain, really. :)

Re: Digital Reading: e-books discussion

The Kindle can also play music (mp3's definitely- I don't recall off-hand what other formats it supports) and can display pictures as well (of course, in e-ink). Depending on whether the publisher/author has allowed it or not, you can even have your Kindle "read" your book for you (that is, turn th...

Re: Twilight Fanfiction Discussion Thread 2

So I've read the 80-some chapters of Master of the Universe available on twilighted.net. It says the story is not complete but that last chapter definitely had a "The End" appended to it... So, is that finished? I saw a note saying there's a sequel on her blog, but it's blocked for me at the moment...

Re: Digital Reading: e-books discussion

If I'm not mistaken, last time I heard about the Nook's "lend me" system it was under fire (from publishers mostly). Essentially what happened is publishers didn't like the idea of people lending books out, so they either removed this option completely (I believe one publisher at least did this for...

So...

How close are Master of the Universe and The Dominant? Storyline-wise.

Re: The Science of Twilight

As you observed, none of the other changes associated with a period occur- so I suppose the female vamp would have some kind of discharge to flush just the egg, if at all. That's assuming of course that they can even ovulate. That is a process brought about by normal biorhythms, which no longer exi...

Re: The Science of Twilight

Ovulate != getting pregnant, to use some coding logic. Going by that argument, it may be possible that the female vampire can ovulate. But nothing else in that process occurs- no prepping of the uterus to host a possible child, no expansion of the womb to accomodate the fetus... Indeed, would the e...
