By far it was one of the Romanian vamps saying, "Of all the rotten luck" after the negotiations in BD. I giggled.
All of the intentional jokes I didn't find funny, however.

Re: Jacob and Leah's friendship
The developing relationship between Jake and Leah was, in my opinion, the best, most healthy, natural-seeming of all the relationships in the book. It was very well done; I think Meyer's writing style improved vastly when she switched from Bella's point of view; Jake had been hurt vastly more than B...

Re: Technology in the Twilight series
I have a question. I may be remembering wrong, but in Twilight I can't recall anyone having a cellphone, iPod, or any sort of portable device at all. However in New Moon lots of people seemed to magically obtain them. Am I remembering wrong, or is this explained in the books?

Re: Romeo and Juliet
Ugh. Frankly, I hate this comparison. Romeo and Juliet was a comedy/tragedy to show the foolishness of teenage lust when it is mistaken for love. It was not intended to be taken as a story about the greatest romance of all time. Twilight is a serious romance novel that portrays two teens (well, a te...

Re: A Mid Summer Nights Dream
There were parallels between A Midsummer Night's Dream and Breaking Dawn? :? Um... I suppose that one could argue that Jacob's imprinting deal mirrors the fairy love potion in MND. On the other hand, a large chunk of the MND plot revolves around Puck's mix-up with Lysander and Demitrius; there is no...

Re: Leah and Children
I don't get why Leah was all upset that she couldn't have children. I know I don't want any of the little monsters. Small children scare me. On the other hand, I doubt she's menopausal. From Meyer's description, phasing/being a shifter in general sounds like the sort of thing that might cause a dram...

Re: Favorite Book of the Saga
My favourite book was probably Eclipse. The plot (as I recall) was set up much earlier in the book than it was in Twilight or New Moon (well, in NM the plot started right away but it didn't really go anywhere...), and Eclipse actually had a somewhat exciting, dangerous-for-the-protagonist climax, un...

Re: Who is your favorite character?
I'm going to have to go with Victoria on this one, even though we only see her for a grand total of, like, thirty pages (not counting Bella's glimpses of her during the stalking phase). She's an interesting villain, and (I think) seriously underplayed. Of the more major-ish characters, though, Leah ...

Re: Renesmee #2
Impossible Baby? Well, she definitely has potential. I mean, Dhampirs are fun. It'd be interesting if Meyer, in future books, decided to actually [gasp] create conflict for her characters by making Renesmee's human side repulsed by her vampire side, and, egged on by Leah, turn against her parents an...

Re: Victoria
Victoria (and, to a lesser extent, James) were my favourite characters. I almost didn't read Breaking Dawn because the only "villains" left were the Volturi, and they'd already shown themselves to be pathetic wimps. Anyway. Victoria. I think part of the reason I like her so much is she rem...
