The Eternal Twilight Convention-Feb 2009, UK

Post by Pel »

The link to this convention is below. Please be advised that this is an unofficial convention and it is not sponsored by Little Brown, Stephenie, Summit, or the Lexicon. That is not to say it is bad, just that we are not making an official endorsement, we are announcing its existence.

Hello everyone!

I just booked a hotel room at "The Park Inn" and bought a Silver Programme.
I am going on an airplane from Denmark, probably landing in Birmingham in the morning and then I'll take either a train or a bus to Northampton. I will be sharing a double room at the hotel with two friends from DeviantART (they actually introduced me to the books), that are currently living only 45 min. away from the whole thing.

It's going to be a lot of fun; I hope to meet some of you guys there! :)

- If any of you have a profile on Facebook there is also both a group and an event to join there.

Quite understandable :) It is a lot of money.
I would just be happy meeting all these fans that feel the same as I do, because I feel so alone about it in Denmark :) The guests are just an amazing bonus, but I am curious to see who will be there too!

Showmasters seems to only do conventions in the UK as far as I can tell, they have a lot of different ones and this is the first one focusing on books/movie and not TV series.

Wow, a convention in the UK...it's just take one hour from where I live to get there, by plane of course 8-)

Anyway, I don't think I will ever find the courage to go. My boyfriend is absolutely out of this kind of stuff and doesn't speak a word of English, plus...what if I'm the only 20something girl in the whole convention?

By the way, I hope they announce the guest list soon...that might make me change my mind ;)

I can inform you that many are going alone and for the most part people are between 20 and 35 I'd say.
I am 19 and I've spotted 3 going that are younger then me. They have a lot of information on their forum dedicated to the convention.

Uh, thanks for the info Aakerman. I will check their forum and then wait at least for some guest to be confirmed.

Assumed that I can't leave school for two days...it's pretty much disappointing that here in Italy schools are open on Saturdays!
