Re: Twilight Saga #4
Glad to know that my dark question evoked so many different responses. At least it was different.
As far as a parody - why not do what they did with HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 15 minutes.
Talk about hysterical, SM or whoever could do any of the books the same way.
Never know.

Oh God. I Googled that (ha!) and the first part had me laughing.
browniechadowes does something similar (not quite as abridged) with the books in her "Stephenie Meyer and the Renegade Characters" fanfics. Those are a riot to read, as well.
They're more for the mature readers, though. Language and all.

Here, let me make it easy for you:
http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1783064/browniechadowes
In order:
Stephenie Meyer and the Renegade Characters (TW)
Stephenie Meyer and the Glitter of Doom (NM)
Stephenie Meyer and the Triangle of Shippiness (EC)
Stephenie Meyer and the Uterus of Steel (BD)
Again, these are rated "M."

ok so i recently reread eclipse, and i was wondering why leah is the first female to start shapeshifting. im sure over the years other women had been descendents and were depressed/sad enough to start phasing, but they didnt. so the question is, why is leah the first woman to phase?

I'm going on assumption here, but I think Leah is like Jacob & Quil and has it on both sides of the family instead of just one side. She remarks in BD about her impressive pedigree and if Jacob had not been Alpha or stepped up, whichever, then Seth most likely would have been the Alpha. She just so happened to be affected by the vampires return like everyone else. I'm sure there is more to it than that, but that's how I see it in a nutshell.purple_panda wrote:ok so i recently reread eclipse, and i was wondering why leah is the first female to start shapeshifting. im sure over the years other women had been descendents and were depressed/sad enough to start phasing, but they didnt. so the question is, why is leah the first woman to phase?
Rings may know more about this than I do.

Actually navarre, that was very well said.
The only thing I could add is... The presence of so many vampires is causing quite the reaction in the tribe. Consider the fact that even the very young are being "activated." It's as if something in the air feels the upcoming confrontation, and activates every single person with a dormant werewolf gene in them.
Leah just so happens to have it. At least, that's what I think.

And the UTERUS OF STEEL!! Ohmygoodness... HILARIOUS!

So, I have a question which I'm pretty sure has been answered before... BUT I'm going to ask it anyway, I'm just that lazy. PLUS this is the trivia corner and you guys are helpful enough to type it up all pretty for me.
Since the vampire's hearts don't beat... how does the venom get pumped thru their veins and... other parts? Is it kind of alive in and of itself?

Well... the main source of their venom is in their mouths, which is secreted like saliva. That's part of the endocrine system, not the circulatory, so the heart would have nothing to so with that.
The venom in their eyes is similar- "tear ducts," not connected to the heart.
Leads me to believe it's more like they have glands that secrete it where needed, as opposed to being pumped over their bodies from a central location.
And if you think the titles are hilarious, wait until you actually read them.
