Carlisle- Carlis
Rosalie- Rosealia
and she calls Caius CALCULUS ( I laughed so hard at that)
and she thinks Volvo is a kind of bird.

Quileute = QUIL - yute (I asked the Quileute woman working in the Quileute Welcome Center)
Esme = EZ - may/mee (right in the middle of the two sounds)
Rosalie=Rose-ah-lee
Meyer = MY - er

Shiobhan is pronounced Shiv-awn.It's basically the Irish version of Joan.

Thank you for saying that! I tried telling my friend that Shiobhan was pronounced as shiv-awhn and she told me I was wrong. I'm Irish too, but what would I know I guess!!! Now I have proof that I'm not wrong! Thanks!

For Carlisle I used to say Carla-seal

and my friend called him carl-is-l

OH MY GOSH! I am so glad that I'm not the only one that called him Carli-seal! I would look at the name once and a while and say, "Well, it ends with isle... so that must be pronounced like isle the island! So then I started calling him Carlis-isle. I don't know what it was... I just couldn't get it right! I'm glad I'm not the only one!

That is so funny! It sounds a lot like the way I used to pronounce Esme. Still, Calculus instead of Caius... yeah, that's just a TINY bit off! *sarcasm* Plus, Volvo... definitely NOT a bird!
