I think I like the idea of Jacob being Nessie's boyfriend, but I also think a little healthy competition would be nice as well. If Stephenie continued the series with Nessie, I would like to see Nahuel show up ready to stir things up for her. I doubt any human would hold her interest, but then again that could also be an interesting twist to things. Who ever she ended up with would have to have enough education to keep up with her, look how smart she was by the end of the book, poor Jake better hurry up and get into college.

He needs to finish high school first. But I agree, a little Nahuel in the mix wouldn't hurt.

I have said often, I don't see an uncomplicated road ahead for our favorite Hybrid and most people's favorite shape shifter. I think, just like Bella and Edward, they will have to earn their perfect piece of forever. And, Nahuel is just the monkey to throw in the wrench.
As for giving Ness a full explanation of her origins, I agree that the conversation will have to happen in some form. She is just to inquisitive and intelligent not to wonder. And, this is not a family where lies and half-truthes cut it. They may censor just a little bit, keep the worst of it (such as the fact that until about 1 week prior to her birth, her father wanted to kill her) out of her head. But, there's is just a little piece of me that wants to see Ness' reaction when Jacob has to face the music for hating her. I guess I am still a little spiteful with him for the whole trying to come between Edward and Bella thing.

I don't think Nessie will be too upset that Jacob used to hate her. I'm sure she'll be mature enough to understand why and realize that it would be pointless to get upset over something that happened in the past when you know it's never going to happen again. She knows Jacob loves her more than anything and I don't think she'll ever have reason to doubt that.

In the Bella thread, people were discussing Bella finding a cantante or having an accident, and that got me thinking...
How do you think Renesmee would react if someone in her family killed a human by accident?

And I asked the question because I think she would be shaken if somebody, Uncle Emmett for example, killed the girl who worked at the convenience store.
