1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?
She's more like Bella's best friend than mother. Bella has already said previously that Renee was a kid at heart and that Bella is more like a 30 year old. This could have been part of the reason why Renee left Charlie in Forks. She is too extroverted to stay in one place for too long.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
Oh, I definitely missed the finer points. I flew through this chapter (I'm hooked at this point) and I think that I didn't imagine the scene right at first.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
I love Charlie at this point. He's such a great dad, but obviously he's dealing with getting his daughter back for the first time in awhile (a teenager at that) and he's obviously going to be a little weird with her at first. He's perfect and his response was endearing <3

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?
I didn't really think anything of Carlisle at first. I was more surprised with Charlie's description of him and how much he supported him. Rereading Twilight, I realized that Charlie is great and from the beginning he liked the Cullens, which was good for Bella, huh?
5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?

Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee? Well she cares about Bella and loves her, but she's not really "motherly"

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later? I realized later that I hadn't grasped everything that happened. I went back and read it a few times to get everything.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident? It seemed like what any normal parent would do. But I was surprised he was out in the waiting room & not with Bella while she was being checked out.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions? He seems like a nice enough guy.

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you? It more intrigued me than frightened me.

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?
I still thinks that she is sweet, she obviously cares for Bella but she doesn't always think things completly through, she always needed a third-party in Bella to sort out all of her ideas.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
I had to re-read it again, I missed the part where Edward's shoulders mush the tan car, so I had to go back and figure out what exactly he did, it was a great scene though.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
I thought it was just right. Especially the part where the ambulence received a police escort to the hospital.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?
I thought he seemed very nice, I was curious about how he could be a doctor and a vampire at the same time. I also could tell that he was in on whatever Edward was planning

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?
It honestly frustrated me because I could tell that Bella was falling hard for him and that she wanted him to be able to trust her, but he wasn't being all that nice to her.

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?
That Renee loved Bella, and wanted to make sure she was OK. But that she was very impulsive, and didn't think things through before saying them. Also that she wanted both Phil and Bella in her life, and not realizing that she cant have them both in the same place.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
I noticed it on several points in Twilight, that my focus slipped. The first time reading it I was so excited to know what would happen next, that I didn't really take the time to look at details. The second time I got the details. But of course I noticed that the way Edward saved her was something very special... Now I'm on my third reading, and I am still discovering new things in the book.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
Like what you could expect from a parent. He took it reasonably well, it is only natural to be concerned when your child is in a car accident.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?
He seemed like a nice man. A good doctor, and a good father to Edward. He cared for his patients. I also got the impression that he was very good looking..

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?
I was not frightened. Still intrigued. But I didn't like it much. I wished he would just talk to Bella, keep his promise and tell Bella the truth. But I understand that it was very difficult for him, knowing that the truth could quite possibly put his family in danger, and scare Bella away at the same time.

Well, that she was a caring mother, and loved her daughter. But she didnt really "know" Bella in that way. I dont think Bella ever told her the real reason why she moved. I think she just thougt Bella wanted a bit of change.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?

I think I actually got all the details right the first time, at least most of them I guess. When I read that part, I read it twice to understand it, so that might be one of reasons to why I understood it to.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?

That he was acting like any dad would, and I just didnt put more thought in it, from what I remember. Hm, my answers are kind of boring..

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?

Like.. wow. Ehm.. his looks :$ He was good at what he does. And also, that he knew what was going on, and what had happend at the accident with Edward.

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?

I dont know really.. they made the whole thing feel kind of strange I guess. But also, I could understand, that what ever he was hiding, he didnt want to give up. He had after all saved her, why couldnt she leave it at that?

renee is very protective of bella but she is very child minded. telling her to come home even thought she wasnt there there teel me that she doesnt trust charlie as a parent

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
yeah i did miss bits i had to keep re-reading the passage

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
like a normal father that cares for his daughter

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?
wow, why cant i have a doctor like that!

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?
untrigue but i wouldnt have the patients that bella has to put up with it (but in the end it was worth it)

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?
Scatterbrained, for the most part. I think it's obvious that Renee loves Bella a lot, despite Bella being the one to look after her, and her motherly side comes out when Bella is hurt. Only because she's so worried about Bella, generally scatterbrained and distractable, she didn't stop to realise that Bella going home wouldn't help anything, seeing as she'd be alone there.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
It was a bit of a confusing blur to me. I had to read through it a few times before I totally understood it.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
It added onto my impression that Charlie is quietly concerned; like with the snow chains on her truck, he thinks about her a lot more than she realises, even if he's too embarrassed to show her. I thought it was sweet.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?
Aha, I loved him! I thought he was lovely. One of my favourite Twilight quotes comes from meeting Carlisle, when Bella says: "My intuition flickered; the doctor was in on it."

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?
Neither, because I'd already read Dark High Noon, so I understood his thought process behind the words. Probably more frighten than intrigue, though, because I knew that it meant he'd be leaving her alone, and it's enough to drive me into an anxiety attack when Edward leaves. I was a wreck reading New Moon.

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?
Renee doesn't really think much about taking care of Bella..she means well, she just isn't very adult about doing anything for her..
2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
Depends how fast I read it..I think I got the general idea of everything, I was trying to figure Edward out.
3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
He really loves Bella and was scared for her, he's just not very upfront about it.
4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?
He seemed really nice and a good doctor, with a sense of humor, and how he acted to Edward...plus he was being secretive, Bella was noticing everything.
5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?
..I wasn't really scared..he saved her, but he was just trying to cover up how he did it. I was trying to get into his head and figure out what was going on and how he did those things.

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?

From the first, Renee seemed more like the friend-mother than the mother-mother. The way Bella reacted to Charlie's parental actions confirmed that Bella took better care of Renee than vice versa.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?

Oh, I totally missed stuff. I wasn't exactly sure how it worked that the van just kept coming after her, I had a hard time picturing that in my head.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?

It was really the first time we actually got to SEE Charlie acting like an overprotective dad, rather than just seeing the results. It was a very good dad response.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?

Hmm, I thought he was a nice guy. He seemed like a thorough doctor. I don't recall having any really strong impressions of him

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?

Ugh, I was SO irritated at Edward for the sarcastic comments, and for being so cryptic. I think this scene is one of the main reasons I really misunderstood Edward at first.

She’s a ditz. Would you really freak out so much and have your daughter come home to an empty house. Remember that Bella won’t do it regardless. So why have the freak out when it’s completely unnecessary.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
Nah, I’m one of those people who picks up on everything when I read. So I saw everything that happened. I took into account everything. I started to do the math in my head and knew instantly that something was up with Edward. It was way too odd for me.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
Charlie is a dad. He’s going to react that way. He’s honestly worried about his daughter. He doesn’t know what has happened and he’s trying to make sure that she’s okay.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?
I could feel that he had some knowledge of what had happened before he even saw Bella. He knew about Edward. He knew the secret and he was in on it. But he also wanted Bella to be okay and he was truly worried about her too. Not just in the doctor sense, but he knew that if something had happened to her, it would effect Edward and he didn’t want that to happen.

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?
Without saying it, he came out and told Bella that something was going on with him. It made me curious, and in some respects it pissed me off. Why did he have to do things like that to her. I thought he was a jerk
