MissP - hey - I never looked at that little writer guy long enough to see him have his little tantrum!! So funny!

I feel great today because I got together with a good friend and she went over the first 20 pages of my memoir with me (in person!!). It was really positive. All her comments for changes were very constructive and definitely doable without compromising what I've already written!! Now all I need is more time to write! (Don't we all!)

You know, we could set up a Lexicon writer's challenge on an instant messaging service... I do these a lot, and they are a ton of fun. Chat and play for 15 minutes and write for 45 while on the chat of your choice. VERY helpful. If you want to, just pm me.

What happens is that a group of writers get on an instant messaging service (I use skype and g-chat or YIM). We connect there, goof around and at the hour, start writing. At :45 after, the leader calls it quits and we share what we wrote, talk about hardships, complain about work/husbands/kids, and have fun. It keeps me focused and helps me write. All we have to do is get hooked up on your favorite instant messenger.

I'd totally participate except the way I write is by sitting in the dark and total silence at 3am and blast out a few thousand words haha.

BTW I'm almost done but I'm totally procrastinating because I'm killing off one of my characters and I know it's going to be sad and I'm probably going to make myself cry. It's like when I killed XXXX in LAF and TPC (haha don't want spoilers for those who haven't read them yet!)

Okay. I don't mean to spam the thread, but someone just showed me THIS and I can't stop laughing. I'm not choosing sides here, folks, just laughing at the humor.
