Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, i started last night, i have read just The Prologue and it magic has captured my heart. I have a must read list for holidays waiting for me:
Atonement by Ian McEwan
Ghostwritten by David Mitchell
Lisey's story by Stephen King and
Last Cato by Matilde Asensi
Has someone already read Lisey's Story? amazing, good, not enoug?
carranzaya: I loved "Atonement"! I thought the book was done beautifully, but I wasn't that impressed with the movie. I must say I never hated a character as much as I hated Briony.

I am currently reading As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner. It's a good book.
"I then drink about five of these and I can deal with the world. Or the world can deal with a guy full of five cups of "coffee on demand"." - Gerard Way
Okay, just a question. Has anyone read Going Bovine? I loved Libba's Gemma Doyle trilogy, but I'm pretty worried about this whole mad cow disease premise. Is she serious? So what I mean to ask is, if anyone here has read it, was it any good? I'm a bit reluctant to read it. It seems such a stretch from the realms. Thanks in advance.
Edward Cullen Fan: I'm also a big fan of Libba Bray's Gemma Doyle series, but Going Bovine is suppose to be kinda funny and serious book. It's on my list to read soon and I'm looking forward to it. I've heard mix reviews about it, but I do enjoy her humor and writing style. I'll give you more of an idea when I read it.
I finished "Donut Days" it was ok, but I didn't care for the plot or the characters. Right now, I'm reading "After" by Amy Efaw. So far it's good-suspense and mystery. A good fit for those who like Jodi Picoult types of books.

I am currently reading To Kill A Mockingbird.
I thought I was going to completely hate it, but I think it's really good.
I now know why it's a classic, ha

*JUMPS UP AND DOWN AND UP AND DOWN REALLY REALLY EXCITEDLY!!!!*
I GOT THE GATHERING STORM, WHICH IS LIKE 10 BAZILLION TIMES COOLER THAN NEW MOON! AAAAHHHH!!!
Okay, I'll go have a fangirly spasm about it elsewhere, because almost no one else has read The Wheel of Time series and therefore they can't empathize with my extreme excitement.
And I have a 5 day weekend, plus 4 hours of car trips to read!!!
I finished Catching Fire and I was amazed by it. The storyline caught me completely off guard and I am just, grrrr, at the cliffhanger ending. I can not wait until the third book comes out!! *whispers* I'm still Team Peeta!
Now, I am reading Tempted the latest book in the House of Night series by P.C and Kristin Cast. So far, it's good.
