Thanks guys!! I've had a blast today!

Hunger Games had some amazing names. Most of them have interesting meanings if you look them up.

So I was thinking about names from our QOTD and it made me think about real people names that are interesting or funny.

My mom had 2 grade school friends with interesting names that have always stuck with me. One is Ginger Root. The other is Ray Zin. Do any of you have unusual friend names or people you have heard of?

I've never met anyone with a really out there name...but I did hear about a little girl who was in the class of one of my co-workers and her name was Dorcas. I know this name is popular in some cultures, but I just think it's mean to name a little girl! Really...couldn't do it to my kids. My husband can't even hear the name without cracking up.

When picking names for my own children, I was amazed at some of the names of celebrity children!! I'm all for different and unique, but sheesh!

Pilot Inspektor?? All I can say is "wow..."

Whose kid is named Pilot Inspektor? Apple is the one I still don't understand. *Shakes head*

Jason Lee...the guy who played Dave in Alvin and the Chipmunks...and he was Earl on that show My Name is Earl. He named his son Pilot Inspektor (and yes, the misspelling is on purpose...)

I don't like Apple for a child's name, but at least it had a cute story. Her husband, who I am completely blanking on right now, said that their daughter was the apple of his eye...hence the name "apple". That's the story I read somewhere anyway. Not in agreement, but seriously doubting Pilot Inspektor has a cute story behind it!

And didn't Michael Jackson name one of his kids Blanket?

And there was that professional skiier name Peek-a-boo Street. Yikes!!
