Yummm, ribs. I used to go to a little hole-in-the-wall authentic Texas ribs place, and finally understood what the whole ribs thing was about. Ummm. Desire.

I will bring watermelon and sweet tea, because I am from the south.
I lived in Ohio for a year and did not come away with love for Germanic cooking. But I would have enjoyed the watermelon with you!

Just started Atkins again today. Oh well.

We had a small family gathering (me, hubby, 4 kids, plus nana), so we had basics for Arizona; burgers, dogs, cowboy beans, french fries (I voted for baked potatoes but my kids outnumber me), salad, carrots, and ice cream for dessert. Those were the best burgers I ever grilled - I didn't burn any of them! :D

Plan #1: Watching the trailer over and over again ... because I have a profound aesthetic admiration for the male upper back. Not Robsessed ... Edward-sessed.

Plan #2, which is less certain: Getting hubby, 4 kids, nana, and possibly my little brother, his wife, and their two kids together for a trip to Disneyworld! I've been wanting to go to Epcot Center since I was about 15 ... too long ago. Wish me luck! It's gonna be hard to get hotel rooms!

You didn't shut anything down, everyone is still analyzing the new trailer.

Good luck on Orlando in summer. It can get very, very, muggy, so be prepared.

Thanks for the reassurance, corona. I've been looking at the trailer too :swoon: and working on a signature banner finally!

We have a busy summer lined up. We get to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise with the kids and grandkids. We also have to take a daughter to college. Which I am not quite ready for. In between, we have camping, scouts, gardening, adoring any sun we can get 'cause this is Wisconsin, and taking a trip to college to sign up early for classes.

Whew! I'm tired just looking at the list.

Oh, yeah, and I need to finish a fanfic, re-write my first one (thank you Smitten for the great ideas!), edit the stuffing out of a finished manuscript, and write my current YA work in progress.

Openhome- you have a busy and ambitious summer!

I'm so excited because my son (who is 5) is going to be a part of the Miss Florida pageant in July. A friend of the family won the title for our local city and so she goes to compete in Miss Florida. The contestants are supposed to pick little boys and girls to act as their "court"...princesses and princes. He gets to be on stage and do a dance number and everything :) It's gonna be super cute. (I'm not a pageant mom or anything...LOL...I just thought it is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities. Something to say he got to do when he's older)

My mom, sister, and I went to see "Super 8" today. It was good. The best part is that the Breaking Dawn trailer opens up the trailer set. It was awesome to see it on the big screen after a dozen on my small screen. :-)

Our summer plans are to go to Gulf Shores, Alabama with my parents and sister. My little brother and his wife are supposed to drive up from Tampa to join us. My other brother and family can't make it because school will have already started. We're going the week of Labor Day. We are going to see the Blue Angels practice, which is something my mom has wanted to do for ever! I just want the beach and watch our toddler play in the sand for her first time. :-)
