Alice mentioned the headboard!! I'm going to thrash her!

I can't believe my father saw that.

Bella~ I hate to be the bearer of ... well, what we consider really really good news, but EVERYONE saw that. Trust me, girl. There isn't a woman out there who isn't pea green with envy.

Corona~ Have you seen what Edward's been posting around here today? I'm pretty sure he'd have brought it up if Em didn't! :rotfl:

Sorry, Bella, but Jazz Girl is right. We all saw it, the whole planet. And we did, all of us, enjoy it. I hope you don't find it too embarrassing, but trust me, we all envy you with every female cell in our bodies!

Corona not included in that, of course.

Wait a second? They know about the headboard breaking on our honeymoon? What else do they know?

***searches minds for information regarding broken dinning tables, refrigerators, oak tress, and old fashioned Pullman cars****

I think the headboard is about all they have on us, Bella, sweetheart. I can live with that if you can.

PULLMAN CARS!!!! Good Gods! I do NOT want to know what kind of "reliving my lost youth" fantasy led to that one!

:?

Okay, yes, I really do, but I'll behave...

What is it with Cullens and dining room tables? They're delicate, people - even human children can break them.

BTW, Edward, you didn't have to detail how you managed to not break the house.

Kudos to the Lex Forum team and the Cullens for putting on a great birthday party. A special thanks to Edward for answering so many questions.

Jazz Girl, you are right, I didn't see some of his responses until later. Edward really opened up, big time.

I would love to see a "Ask Bella Anything" thread on her next birthday, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I don't know if she is ready for that yet, or for the kind of questions that would pop up. And forget the whole thing if Charlie shows up.

Oh wow, this thread completely came back to life in the past couple of months! How did I so totally miss this? (*mutters darkly about defective email notifications and the distractions of RL*). So glad I checked in here today.

Hahahaha. Awesome, and true.

Hi, December, it's nice to see you! :hello:

So I finally searched "ars longa" after months of idle curiosity. Now I have a question: Is that "ars" in the traditional sense of craft or technique, or the more narrow definition meaning fine art? And is this a vocational statement, life philosophy, or statement of solidarity with the Volturi?

Actually it dates back to my earliest days on the old Lex Latin Thread, subsequently relaunched as the Choices Thread.

We like to think the Volturi were expressing solidarity with us....
