@wingtear: haha no, it was one of those salesmen who wants to convince you that having a diff supplier for your electricity is much better(even though their service is lacking)

@sarah, i dunno. Im not used to it: ever since I was 10 or 11 i have been thought of as older. So im used to that. I know i dont really have any wrinkles yet, and sometimes I am surprised that ppl of my age do have those....but i dont think i really look -younger-.

People always think I look younger than what I really am. I get carded everywhere I go too! It's really weird. Oh well hopefully when I am 50 I will look 30!

One time a customer thought i had married -really- young, untill i told her i was almost 30.
and just last week, a door salesmen asked me IF MY PARENTS WERE HOME???
*facepalm*

there are entire websites dedicated to women wearing pigtails, especially paired pigtails, to look younger and "innocent"

personally, while I don't have an issue with pigtails etc, i DO have an issue with sites that glorify women seeming to be underage for adult material. That's just messed up.

Anyway, the point, pigtails are associated with youth. It's a stereotype.

Hey, I broke my ribs. In a totally lame way. I coughed too much over the last few weeks. Counldn't be something hardcore like stopping a van from hitting my grilfriend or something like that, no.

OMG Pharmer!! That's horrible! I couldn't imagine! I hate those deep coughs and I never thought it would be possible to actually break something because of them! I hope you heal quickly!

Janny~How has your head been feeling? Any lingering effects?

whereas everyone seems to look younger and innocent while wearing pigtails, Ninna looks just her age (and people regularly think/though Ninna was older than she was/is, ex. Ninna 21 hears from guy (in bed) that he thinks she's 27...) and pigtails only make her look MORE mischievous...

It's not like i wear pigtails to look younger, I just find them very convenient when my hair gets a bit greasy. I cant wash my hair everyday due to eczema, so thats always my solution. Ive never been carded in my life btw. I could get into 21 discos when i was 17...oh well. I just think door to door salesmen are weird...i also got a weddingproposal once, lol.

@pharmer, what the... how can you break your ribs just by coughing? that seems really...weird. Didnt you already have a fracture or something.? must hurt like hell..or so im told..ive never broken anything in my life.

my head? yeah..still hurts. i have to take it easy though, because i tend to think im doing better, and then all of a sudden i start swaying on my feet. But i have been working again, and even though its exhausting..its do-able. i had this whole weekend off, so i could get my energy together(like sleeping till 1 in the afternoon and such), and we'll see how next week goes.
But my head still hurts..

Hey....

I'm sorry it's been a while since I visited here...I've been drunk on Rob-crack over at the Halfway house...sorry...

I read the last two pages quickly...

Pharmer, gosh I'm sorry about your ribs, it must hurt like hell...and my coughing..never heard of that before...

On the Pigtail subject, I really think they are scary... most of the time they just scream "do me", at least when adults are wearing them... I tried once just because I was fed up with my normal haircut, but I pulled them out immediately...just freaky..

wingtear, if you do a long post or go away for a while you should put it in a word-doc or make it in a word-doc, that way you'll never loose it if you get distracted...

On looking younger than your age, I sadly never had that problem, ever since I was 14 I could say I was 18 and everybody would believe it...now when somebody asks my age I tell them 20, and they believe it...but I'm 27 so that's good...

Hi everybody...I'm back from a nice weekend at my uncle's and I'm exhausted. Apart from eating an incredible amount of food - as you might imagine my aunt as any Italian lady cooks a lot - my uncle took me out for an extremely long walk in town this morning...though I'm not that heavy I'm starting feeling unconfortable after a mile or two. That's why I'm resting on my couch with hubby at the moment: no cleaning, no unpacking, not even eating tonight...only resting!!!

Pharmer I'm sorry to hear you broke your ribs, and in such an unexpected way. I bet it hurts a lot...I hope you get well soon, though I know it's a bit long for ribs to recover fully. Try not to do anything too phisically demanding.

Jasmine I suffer from migraines too and I must say I've realised sometimes sleeping too much is worse than anything else. Sometimes just resting in bed with the curtains down and no tv or music or whatever is the right thing to do. Anyway, here in Italy there some medical centres specialised in migrains: I go there periodically and some years ago the doctors gave me different pills to try until they found the one for me. It's not a painkiller so it's safer for my body...do you have such centres in Holland?
