Good morning ladies…

I hope you all had a great day yesterday…
It was very quiet although a lot of Rob-crack was used…I’m still high…

Ginnie, I’m sure Rob gets dressed in new suits and shirts every day… or maybe they have a few and wash them…I don’t like the trousers of the suit but the black and white sure looks good on him…

JennJenn, I can’t wait until we get new episodes of Extreme home make-over…
I hope your daughter feels better soon. Give her an extra hug from me…

Caryn, there aren’t many sports from the US that are popular here, we do get snippets from the NBA and the Super bowl and sometimes when a Dutch guy is involved a bit of racing but besides that there isn’t much coverage here, you really have to look for it…(and pay big bugs)…I think it has to do with the conservativeness of our sport-shows, they are already full with Dutch sports like soccer and hockey (even tennis)…they just don’t want anything else…
I can understand your worry about the MTV awards… I’m just sticking my head in the sand and say that they can’t confirm Rob is going there because he is shooting the movie and that the schedule can be changed… but I am voting… I never voted so much before…

Tammy, it’s a tradition to hand out sweets, cake or something like that on your Bday, you do Rob-crack!!! Brilliant…

Well, short post… this time…maybe I’ll do some goodies later today…

I know this is just a typo but it conjured up such an image in my head of sending packages full of large clicky beetles off to the cable companies so you could see the Superbowl.

Tammy, Happy Birthday late! I'm glad it was a good day and I love the Cosmopolis collage.

Ginnie, good question about how many suits, that never occurred to me, and all perfectly tailored for Rob, what do you think they do with them after? It's not like he needs more suits or has anyplace to put them. They could probably recoup all the costs for the movie just by selling suits worn by Rob on eBay.

Rob is so lucky to be spending the summer in Canada, as I'm sure all my southern sisters will agree. Here in North Carolina we've actually been treated to a very pleasant spring, but the summer is here now! It's 87 degrees (Celsius users will have to do their own conversion) and not even 10 o'clock in the morning.

Afternoon, sisters. Just a little late today. Been way way way busy this morning. My work actually included something Twilight related as it included a response for my agency on an article published by Fox Noise on Hollywood's perpetuation of dating abuse in teen-targeted shows and movies. Of course, they had to mention Twilight so, of course, our communications person came to me for my response. She actually asked if I'd heard this idea put forth before, at which point I gigglesnorted, pulled out my flash drive and asked her if she wanted me to print or email her my standard reply. You all know my extreme level of irritation with the whole thing, so I just took a breath, counted to 10 and told her to ask me if she had anymore questions.

Tammy~ You mean, we get presents for your birthday!! Wow, it is love!

Susie~ It’s okay. We all know how exhausting being with the whole fam damily can be. Rest now, and we’ll see you tomorrow. And, speaking of, looks like we're duel-posting again!

Marielle~ What?!?! How can you not like those trousers?? I mean… what?!?! Sorry, girl, but that just doesn’t compute in my brain. I mean… RAWR!!! Keep voting, girl.

NewJen~ Good gods, can you imagine being the poor person who had to open those envelopes at the cable company?? GAH!! We’re right there with you here in the Midwest as well. Yesterday it was up to 90 and we’re expecting 92 today. Our “cool down” is a high of 86 on Wednesday! BLECH!! I hate the hot. I am definitely NOT a summer girl.

Cosmopolis Set News~ Looks like Rob was spotted being all sweet and accomodating to some fans yesterday and looking all hobolicious this mornign. Maybe this draught isn't going to be so draughtish after all?

Sorry folks, turns out I don't have enough time tonight to catch up! Maybe I will have to do with fly-bys during the week and mega posts at the weekend only :(

Hope you are all good! I will try to check in when I get a chance :)

*whispers because it's very very quiet around here*

Amy~ Congratulations!! I'm sure you're quite proud of the little man.

Cosmopolis News~ I finally found a man out there who makes Rob look average-sized. Kevin Durand is the gentleman standing next to Rob. I swear, the guys got to be about 6'6" to make Rob look like a normal-sized man. Kind of reminds me of the days on the RP&tGoF set when the Rob towered over everyone but the Phelps twins. Ahhh, memories.

Don't Forget!! Voting closes in 4 days. Some reports are saying that Rob confirmaed his attendance while on set today. But, I'm still not buying it. Vote, ladies, vote!!

Hi All!

I'm finally here making my Mega Post Catch-Up!!

Tonight we went to the Senior Awards Ceremony at Sonny Boy’s school and he was in the group for a 3.5 – 3.75 GPA Presidential Award. We rushed home after the ceremony so he could make it to his circus class – Daughter Dear drove him, which is nice because that meant I could LEX!!

Jen’s Visit – She has left it to me to give you the detailed account of her visit. It was short but sweet. She arrived late Friday night bearing brownies and chocolate chip cookies. I had made a Rhubarb pie, so we converged around the kitchen table eating all the treats. It was fun for my hubs and kids to meet the famous Jen and I think she thought the same of meeting them.

Saturday was our only day to do things since her flight left on Sunday at 1pm. So, we had a busy day in Minneapolis. First, we walked in my neighborhood to Starbucks, along Minnehaha Creek (a wooded area with walking and bike paths) to the Museum of Russian Art which is lovely. Then we had a quick lunch at my house and then Sonny Boy and Daughter Dear joined us and we went to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts where we concentrated on 18th-20th century European and American paintings.

Then it was off to see the Mississippi River (by request). We stopped at the Stone Arch Bridge where the lock and dam for St. Anthony Falls is located. The river is very full from all the rain we’ve had, so it was spectacular. Unfortunately it had started to rain, so we couldn’t walk as much as we wanted to. It was so weird because we saw a segue convention going along the stone arch bridge – 20 to 30 people on segues!! Sooooo bizarre!!

We stopped at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden where we saw the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture (heretofore linked by Jen) in the rain, but couldn’t get into the conservatory because of a wedding. Previously we had tried to see the Basilica (where Sonny Boy’s Christmas concert was held) but there was a wedding there too!

We stopped at our favorite Nepalese restaurant for fresh Chai and appetizers. Then we headed back towards our neighborhood via the city lakes – Lake of the Isles, Lake Calhoun, and Lake Harriet (complete with bandshell) where we stopped so that Sonny Boy and Daughter Dear could show off their circus skills at the playground there. I’m sure the other parents were a bit annoyed that there was a “big kid” doing all sorts of dangerous stuff on the swing set…

Back at our house, my Target TwiSister met us and we drove to our favorite Cuban restaurant where Hubs met us on his bike. The six of us had a nice dinner and then we went to our favorite ice cream place. After dropping off TwiSister and the kids, Jen and I went out to Nye’s Polonaise Room – a piano bar. Time has stood still at this place – Dean Martin and the Rat Pack!! It wasn’t very crowded so we both got plenty of opportunity to SING!!! Jen sang “Bad, Bad, LeRoy Brown”, and “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL VOICE!!! I sang “Summertime”, “I’ve got a crush on you”, and “Cabaret”. It was really fun. The other people singing were very nice. The guy next to Jen was showing pictures of his kids, so she showed him pictures of her kids!! He asked how we knew each other and I actually told him the truth… which he kind of didn’t believe!

Sunday – We didn't have much time since we slept in a bit. Oh – I forgot to mention that I’m either a bad hostess or I just feel very comfortable with Jen because both mornings she made eggs for us! I must have looked pretty helpless, or just slow moving because she offered and I took her up on it!! (I actually am a good cook…) After breakfast it was time to say goodbye. Hubs really liked talking to Jen – they are sort of two peas in a pod intellectually. I haven’t really told her that yet, but it’s like they could be siblings! On the way to the airport, I drove along Minnehaha Creek to Minnehaha Falls, which is absolutely gushing right now with all the rain. We parked and walked to the falls. Then it was 10 minutes to the airport and Goodbye! We had so much fun!!!

Who will be my next visitor??

Now – Catching up on the posts since Friday -

Tonise – I know that you are “unplugged” right now so you can’t read this, but eventually you may – Congrats on finishing another year of teaching and making a big difference in your students’ lives. I hope you’re having a wonderful time on the beach. Don’t break too many hearts.

Desiree – Going back to last Thursday – no, you don’t stink!! We understand that it’s hard to get to the Lex with two little ones at home. Just come around when you can. We’ll always welcome you back. Thanks for the congrats for my kids. Yep, I’m proud. Friday – Full weekend plans! Yep, someone has to man the kids when home improvement projects are underway. Now I’ve read that you took the back splash down – too busy? You mean you didn’t like the pattern? Well, good thing to take it down right away then. Can you not return it? Is it tile or a one piece thing? That is a bit of a disappointment. Better get it the way you like though.

Tracy – How was your night at home alone? Sounds divine. I always stay up way too late when I’m all alone. What did you do? Thanks for the link to Michael Sheen reading some fanfic. I haven’t had time to listen to it yet, but from what the others have said, it sounds hilarious. The Grad Party – well, let’s just say some things will be a bit last minute! All my family lives in town, so there’s no worry about “entertaining” guests, thank God! The circus act shown in WfE was Spanish Web, and yes, that is one of Sonny Boy’s acts. CONGRATS ON YOUR 18TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!! So sweet that your hubs arranged for the kids to be elsewhere! RobCosmopolis is really slicked back, but hey- he looks good no matter what. What bugs me is the way they’ve parted his hair – so far down the side! With his wild hair, I’ll be they have to use tons of gel to get it to stay.

Marielle
– You must be glad to have your dad back home – I’m sure your mom is happy too! I hope the doc says you can keep up your current work hours. Biggest fresh market in Europe? Still in Holland? What did you buy? No, Jen and I didn’t meet Rob…. On Memorial Day in the U.S. some people visit the gravesites of their loved ones, and most people have picnics/cook-outs with burgers and bratwurst.

Caryn
– Friday -So funny that you can’t leave your boys home alone TOGETHER!! It’s great that your office is flexible enough that you can bring a child in every once in a while. Did you have to curtail your Robporn viewing? FYI I’ve voted several times now, but thanks for reminding us periodically. I just shiver when I think that Taylor and Kristen might win and then have to “pretend” to kiss!! YUK! I hope Rob will fly in at the last minute….Can’t wait! Saturday/Sunday – A win/win situation: your boys get to bond and you get time to yourself!! I’m giggling at the thought of you getting the updates via text from your hubs! Now what did you do? Read fanfiction or clean the house? You didn’t go into work did you?? And yes, David Cronenberg is trying to kill us. Monday – So did you really go into the office? Dating abuse in teen targeted shows and movies….it seems like you had to do the same thing last year! Good thing you’re so well prepared! They are lucky to have a resource such as yourself. Love the new pics……….hobolicious is right! MTVMA Kiss – I just watched all the nominees out of curiosity to compare them with an unbiased *cough* mind. NO CONTEST. Rob and Kris were the only ones that gave me “butterflies”.

Amy – Friday – I don’t know what it means that your work computer froze when you were trying to link to Robcrack, maybe that it’s forbidden??? TeeHee! Now you’ll be sheepish about doing it! Sorry you lost your beautiful post. Congrats to your son for graduating from pre-school! Where is your MOM??? JOYCE????

Christina – I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend at your parents’ house and feel refreshed for work. Did you get to another WfE viewing? I’ve still only seen it once.

Ginnie – Yep, at first we were trying to do a Rob’s birthday redeux, but that weekend wasn’t good for Jen, so we just did it a couple weekends later. Our weather was even cooler than usual, so she got cooled off real good here.

Jaclyn!
It’s always great to see you. Don’t worry about how often, just so it’s regular! I’m so embarrassed – I didn’t even know about the ash cloud! Wedding photographer? Fun! Yes, it’s expensive. Just remember that you won’t actually look at all of those pictures in 5 years. I recommend fewer, but well selected professional photos and then have lots of candids taken by your friends. I want to watch those two DVDs too! I wish I could come right over to your place and watch them with you. At least Jen and I were able to surprise you! Not like the non-surprise of Caryn and Sandy!

NewJen – I love your succinct report of your visit here. Thanks for letting me be the one to post a mega version of your visit!

Fi – Wow. I got a thank you in a LARGE font!! You are very welcome! Thank YOU for posting. We just love hearing from you and what you are doing in your bohemian lifestyle (I know that you will take that as a compliment.) It is so romantic how you and GB realized through a brief separation that you are indeed very much in love!!! It sounds like you discussed some pretty important stuff.

JennJenn
– Thanks for the reminder to not text and drive. That is just so sad. Sorry you had to miss out on Memorial Day because your daughter was sick. Is she better now? They sure do get sick often when they’re younger. There’s a huge difference later on – my kids are rarely sick except for colds.

Rachel
– This is your first summer as a SAHM, right? I remember those days of trying to keep my kids entertained – now they just need to get to their summer jobs on time!! We certainly understand if you can’t post as often as you’d like. Just do what you can. I’m looking forward to when you “take a page from Raine’s book”. ;)

Tammy - I hope you had a great birthday yesterday!

Well, that's about all for now!

Good morning ladies,

It’s the last working day of the week for me…I’ve got a long weekend a head of me…but my day started really bad….
I’ve got a few e-mail in my mailbox that got me fuming with anger, I have such a stupid co-workers sometimes…I really need a break before I blow…That’s why I came here, I need some Rob-crack to calm me down…

Anyways, enough ranting, on to the posts,

NewJen, actually the big bugs is a bit of a personal joke, I did it wrong during my English exams, I was too stressed out about the whole things and wrote that down, my English teacher never stopped teasing me with it. Since than it’s almost an automatic thing to write it like that…(I had a thing for my English teacher back than, maybe that explains a lot..)…

Caryn, of course they had to come to you with a twilight related question… who else would they go to???
Sorry, hon, but I just don’t like the Italian cut suits, the pant legs of the trouser are too narrow at the end, it makes men’s feet look big and I have something against that… I know it’s fashion and that I’m fighting a lost war but I really don’t like that…as a big plus, a men’s butt sure looks nice in those kind of pants…

Amy, Congrats with the little guys graduation…must be hard for a mom to see the small one get older…

Susie, yes the fresh market is in my city… strangely I never knew it was that big, but to honest I don’t think it’s the biggest because the one I went to in Barcelona was at least as big. We bought fruit and fish, cheese and bread. It’s all a lot cheaper as it is in the supermarket…now with the end of spring all the fruits are nice and fresh and so sweet…
I never knew you guy ate Bratwurst in the US, I thought it was mainly a German thing…
Thanks for the explanation for the US memorial day, I thought it was more related to the remembrance of the war victim but it’s for all…
I saw on my calendar a day I didn’t know existed, what is ‘flag day’ in the US?

A quick update on the MTV award, on Robsessed they have a tweet of a fan who says tio have asked Rob if he is going, according to her Rob said: "Yeah I think so"
so keep voting!!!!!!!

I'm going to vote a few times and than going to do some work...

Hello ladies!! I was browsing around and found this wonderful background. As soon as I saw it, I immediately thought of this photoshoot!

They just seemed to go together so well...And I learned a new technique for removing the backround from a photo so I think it makes it much less blurry around the edges of the figure...whacha think?

Good morning, sisters!! A much quieter morning at work today. I think yesterday being the Tuesday after a holiday Monday just naturally throws the world into chaos for everyone. I'm sure there's some sort of mathematical equation for it somewhere.

OkeyDay. First thing's first, of course.

Happy Hump Day

Now, to posts (it seems so quiet still...)

Susie~ I so love your narration. I believe you get the award for being the first to use the word “heretofore” in a LexPost. See, you get a prize and everything! GAH!! The Piano Bar!! I would have sat and held up my lighter for the both of you. It sounds like you all had so much fun. It’s amazing how much time I find myself with when I’m not constantly monitoring two monkeys and a husband. I was able to do a bit of housecleaning AND read fanfic! What can I say? I multitask. Actually, I read a real, live book…well, kind of. One of my favorite fanfics, The University of Edward Masen was recently published as an original work of fiction called Gabriel’s Inferno. So, after reading a few updates, I snuggled in with the Kindle and read that. Quite cool. I just can’t see any contest, honestly. I mean, I know I’m biased against the puppy thing. And, maybe knowing the history and the emotion behind it, I just can’t let go of that bias. But, the others, there just isn’t any kind of comparison. RobWard&KrisElla’s is a kiss born of love and passion and fate. It happens during a moment when he tells her he loves her and he’s asking her to marry him for gods’ sake!! How can anything else, especially a selfish, manipulative hissyfit reaction, compare to that?

Marielle~ Allow me to help. We would not want you to lose your temper. Here, just lay down here and take a wee bit of a rest, breathe deeply for a little while and relax. I’m sorry you had to start the day off like that. It is never a good thing. I guess I just think Rob in ANY suit looks amazing. And, he already has big feet, so it’s not like they’ll look any bigger.

Tammy~ LOVE it!! Sweet mama, he looks just deadly in those shots.

Alright, off to get some more work done. I'm astonishingly productive when certain people are not in my office. I think it has something to do with not needing to do their jobs as well as mine or not being bothered with random questions.
