My favorite:

AC/DC - Bon Scott era
Metallica
Black Sabbath - 1970's era
Ronnie James Dio (he brought Black Sabbath back from the brink of oblivion)
Guns-N-Roses (Appetite for Destruction, only)

Otherwise, I love my hard rock of Blue Oyster Cult, Rolling Stones(60's-70's), Alice Cooper, Deep Purple,
Cream, Heart, Head East, Ted Nugent, early Van Halen only, Moody Blues, Jimi Hendrix; you get the point.

^ Deffo not heavy metal, but still good!

So was anyone else having the urge to stab a freaking raccoon with a screwdriver when they read that Ozzy canceled Ozzfest? Oh my god, I was almost foaming at the mouth. Who gives a crap if he plays there or not, he shouldn't have canceled just because he's busy.
What a schmuck ! (Don't get me wrong, Ozzy is amazing, I'm just uber pissed that he canceled Ozzfest)

So I've been to a couple of concerts in the past 2 weeks.
Mostly underground bands, which are waaay better than mainstream bands IMO.

TERRORHORSE and BAPTIZED IN BLOOD tore up the freaking stage on Thursday night and I took a hit to the boob (fark, it hurt haha)
BUT IT WAS WORTH IT !
The mosh was amazing that night, by far the best pit I've ever been in.

CHECK THEM OUT !

I grew up listening to heavy metal/hard rock. I like hard rock more, but of course I love the Heavy Metal bands I grew up with. Do I sound old? haha..

My favorites have been Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Skid Row <the original Skid Row>, Def Leppard, Guns n'Roses, Metallica, Ac/Dc, Ozzy, Ugly Kid Joe, Van Halen, etc.

When I was just getting into music, Gn'R was still together well ya know as together as they could be! They were on tour with Metallica, like the biggest concert gigs of the entire year! I wanted to go soooo freaking bad, but my dad said no, even though I'd be surrounded by my big bros.
But then...he let me go see Ozzy instead? WTH? I'll never get over that.
