Sorry to double post, but can someone with some experience with fanfiction.net tell me how the hell I separate my story into chapters? I can't make head nor tail of the stupid site!

Good evening all!

It's exactly one month until HHCon! :yahoo: Hard to believe it's so close. I'm getting so excited!

We had a film crew in the office all day today. They're making a short marketing video for advisors and they did interviews with my bosses. Luckily they did not make me participate in the video, though they did take some still photos of me and my boss as we were going over a report. I don't know how actors do it. There's a guy with a camera a few feet away taking pictures but you have to act like he's not there while you're trying to work. I also don't know how they deal with those set lights. It got so hot in the parts of the office where they were filming.

Update on the stalker~ He was arrested and my trainer wrote a statement three pages long listing everything he'd been doing. Oddly enough, he admitted to everything she accused him of, and is expected to plead guilty to a charge of aggravated stalking, a third degree felony. According to the information I was able to find, he could get up to 5 years in prison. She went to the courthouse today to file for an injunction, and is having a security system installed. Also, all of the shops/restaurants surrounding her studio are aware of the problem and know to keep a lookout for him.

Happy Belated Birthday JennJenn! Hope you had fun!

Lynne~ I assume the shooting threat worked? My trainer doesn't have a gun but she's got plenty of pepper spray. The guy's out on bail at the moment so she still has to be vigilant for the time being.

Brenda~ I'm glad you're getting in exercise (and quality time with hubs at the same time too! :good: ) even though life is crazy busy for you. Hope your interview went well.

Caryn~ A big thumps up from me for your Bel Ami field trip during HHCon!

Tracy~ Sorry your daughter's team lost their championship game, but they're right to be proud of themselves for how far they got. Thanks for your thoughts about the Fifty Shades books. I plan on buying them for my kindle soon. Congrats on your daughter's confirmation. We had two girls confirmed in our church a few weeks ago. I saw The Avengers last week and I loved it. I didn't even notice the long running time while I was watching it.

Amy~ That's disappointing to hear about the changes from EP to Sempre, though I'm glad you still seemed to find it engrossing enough to keep reading even with the missing scenes. I don't want to spoil myself completely for the ending but is there a lot of difference from the fanfic?

Susie~ I don't know why he started fixating on her in particular. She seems to be doing better since she decided to file charges against him because it gives her the feeling of being proactive. She's said both the local police and the people at the courthouse have been very nice and knowledgable.

AnnMarie~ Yay for booking your tickets to Chicago! I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Songbird~ They're Visa giftcards so I can use them wherever Visa is accepted, which is basically everywhere. I realize how lucky I am to work for a company that truly appreciates me. There are only four employees in my company. Yes there is a Titanic museum here in town. I really enjoyed visiting. I think my trainer originally met him at church, though he was subsequently kicked out because because of the harassment.

Em~ I hope the chemo was successful and sending positive thoughts for your recovery. Here's some more RobCrack to help you on your way.

And some goodness for the rest of the HH's residents.

Good morning everybody!!!

I’m having difficulties returning to the normal life… Last night the dates for Keltfest for next year where announced and we all had a little online pre-party…which was already crazy…

Tonight my bf and I are going to the Paser Malam, which is a big Indonesian (asian) festival here in the city. We have never been there before but people say it’s awesome…

And for the rest of the week we have two houses to look at… So I’m busy!

Anyway,

Suzan, Keltfest in only 5 years old, so it isn’t very surprising that you don’t know it. Before that it was only Castlefest in Lisse that was the big event.
On Saturday I had a minute to speak to David (swoon) :swoon: … They were really busy and many people are demanding their attention so I take my chance on the less busy parties but we talked a little about the flaming bagpipes…
On Sunday, I let them be, it’s a day out for them as well and there are so many people wanting something from them…I watch from afar…

Songbird, I replied to your and Suzan’s PM…

Lynne, I don’t know if he does English books yet, I know he is interested in Dutch and English books but he wants them to be well written and he claims that many people who come to him with an English manuscript think it’s well written when it’s not because of the lack of language knowledge…but I’ll see him at least twice a year so when you get published I’ll ask him if he is interested.

Ann-marie, there is absolutely no reason to fear flying! It’s saver than walking down the street to get your food! The only thing I hate about flying is the pressure difference, it hurts my ears badly… last time to Rome it caused my ears to bleed a bit…(hmmm, maybe not the best story to tell)…but anyway, flying is safe and you have nothing to be afraid off, who knows maybe you even make friends wit the people next to you.

Sean, though diabetes can be something given by genes it’s not something that needs to become an issue as long as you live and eat healthy. It’s a bloody dangerous disease as you probably know and shouldn’t be taken lightly…It’s a good thing you are almost back in the working world!!! You’ll feel a lot less stressed about money and things when you work and earn some money…

Tonise, omg! I’m jealous!!! Your plan for pampering yourself sounds amazing…You’ll be ready for the HH-con completely relaxed!!!

Christina, I’m happy the stalker issue seemed to be solved… It must have been scary for your friend…

A little Rob news, it seems that ‘The Rover’ will be shot after the BD2 promotion tour…They are saying they start production late 2012, as Rob has the BD2 promo tour and the probable shooting of ‘Black List’ in the fall and early winter I think that means December for The Rover…

And other news! Cronenberg has offered to cast Rob with Viggo Mortensen  in a next project!! Now we all remember LoTR!!!! How I would love to see Rob and Viggo in one movie…

Alright, I have lacked enough on work already!!! I better start doing something…
These violent delights, have violent endings...Like fire and gunpowder, they consume what they kiss

Christina - it worked eventually, but it did take a while!

marielle - any help you could give me would be appreciated. I'm sure that guy does get plenty of shocking manuscripts. Even people who speak English fluently can't necessarily write to save themselves.

Hi everyone :)

I gotta stop listening to various version of the Castlevania VG soundtrack song "Bloody Tears"--I'm gonna start imagining Kristen with a whip and killing off various evil creatures from the Castlevania games and Guyver cartoons and crap. And I'll also probably imagine Rob being her partner in crime. Maybe a good Twilight fan fic idea?

Hey!
Change of plans. No A’dam for me. I’m sick. Or at least I was this morning, I feel a bit better now. I think I ate something wrong yesterday as my stomach really hurt when I woke up. It doesn’t hurt as much anymore, so let’s hope it stays that way…
And it’s now official: I failed my exam. I’ll have to figure out a solution when I get back at uni (hopefully tomorrow if I continue to feel better…)
All in all, not a good day…

Susan – I think the “chips” thing is more something my family and friends do. It’s effective though. And funny. I can understand that you wouldn’t want your kids to pick up words like that. Maybe you could teach them to say “chips”. My parents started correcting my sister and me as soon as we started using “sh**”. They’d say: “Don’t you mean chips?” or “No, you may not have chips right now.” And we just started laughing, because it’s such a strange and innocent word to think of in those situations. But eventually my sister and I started saying “shi…ps”. (Which is also pretty funny when you see someone pausing and obviously thinking: I shouldn’t say that.) We even started correcting our parents when they slipped.

Lynne – Did you post an author’s note with your fanfic about your novel? I know a lot of people don’t visit an author’s profile, so you might get more people to read it if you put it with the story.

Sean – I bet Kristen does feel sexy in heels. Most women do. They automatically correct your posture (straight back, flatter stomach, shoulders back, chin up, etc.) and I guess that makes you feel more in control, more powerful, more confident. Unless you don’t know how to walk in them or you’re wearing them too long and your feet start hurting like hell. Everything in moderation. ;) What did you mean by this: I wonder how "sexy" and "pretty" you'd feel ending up like Victoria Beckham? ??

Christina – Sounds like you had a little insight into Rob’s career there, hihi. I’m glad that stalker got arrested. That must have been scary.

Marielle – Well that explains why I didn’t know about it if it’s only 5 years old. I’m glad you got at least a chance to talk to David. It was really respectful of you to let them be for the rest of the festival. They probably want to enjoy themselves as well. Have fun at Paser Malam! I’ve never heard of that. Tell us what it was like when you get back, okay? I know the name Viggo Mortensen, but couldn’t remember what he looked like so I googled him real quick. Did you know he’s in On The Road with Kristen?

 to everyone I missed.
I think I’ll read some things while my stomach calms down. Maybe write a bit.
Have a better day than me, everyone! Bye!

Hi Everyone,

Last night was book club night and Caryn I wish I could squeeze you right now for offering me your support by texting you or calling you. It went ok. One thing about me is I have extreme anxiety while talking to groups. You should have seen me with my power point presentation at school the other night. I almost got sick in front of everyone. Funny thing is I do better one on one or with friends and family that I am extremely comfortable with. A lot of it has to do with talking to educated people who have their bachelor’s or masters (which in this case, most of these girls have). I always feel inferior when talking and next thing you know I stumble on my words and don’t really make my point b/c I just get so nervous.

So ya about book club. All the girls said they didn’t see Twilight in it. I completed didn’t explain clearly what entails in fan-fiction. That it might not be a vampire/ werewolf story but they use the character names and parallels. Some girls said the word for me but I couldn’t get my point that if you remove the BDSM it’s there. Half the girls liked it and the others didn’t. One who thinks she is above all with her Masters  , said the writing was horrible, and she got all her ideas off of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice. Again I think of all the things to say when I get home and I have time to process. Please don’t flame me but I am not an Anne Rice fan. We had that for on of our book clubs and I just go so bored with her writing that after 30 pages, I told myself I couldn’t read it anymore. So my point is not matter how great the writing is that doesn’t make a great or bad book. A good book is a book that appealed to your personally. Another thing that bothered her about FSOG was she just graduated college and she was an intern her remark was why doesn’t she get a job. Anastasia mooches off her friend since she has no money coming in. Since I am only half way through the book there is a lot that I don’t remember about it either.

In the end it went ok. I know Caryn there was no way I could keep up texting you or if I even called you to have you on speaker everyone will probably wonder what the heck am I doing. Just know though it means a lot to me that you were willing to help a friend out who isn’t strong in debates and words such as you. Hugs.

Now to a few comments. May 19

Brenda ~ No you are not lazy I am just crazy. Lol. I actually had to remove a few things off my plate such as work that was really hard to manage. To be honest I only take 1 class at a time b/c my husband also goes to school and we have to do juggle each other’s time to get school work done. That is cool that your son likes music and plays instruments. What all instruments does he play?

Shawn~ Is there a picture of Kristen shoes anywhere? Your reference to foot porn has piqued my interest.

Gracye~ Where all did you go on your vacation? You are starting Vampire Diaries, I would like to know what if you like it or not. I read a few and some other books by that author and couldn’t get into her writing at all, but that is just my opinion.

Em~ It’s good to hear from you. You sound very strong so keep it up hun. I will be thinking of you.

Annmarie~ You sound like you have been keeping busy. Hope everything is going well for you.

May 20

Susan~ It sounds and looks like you and your family had an great time spending with the in-laws. McDonalds is my kids’ request too. That is probably how I gained all my weight back. Lol. I usually treat them once or twice during the week

Suzan~ Thanks for the review of Dark Shadows I won’t spend my money on it then and wait till I can rent it.

Susie~ I rarely ever use a swear word myself so reading all that was very interesting and very true in my opinion. Yes you are right about the loss of vocabulary words and I definitely feel it is going to get worse as time goes on. Kinda going off a little bit hear but you know how they are no longer teaching cursive writing which I don’t understand especially when you have to sign your name on documents. My friend told me that learning how to spell is going to be obsolete one day because computers do it for you. What?

I still need to respond to yesterdays and todays post, I will get caught up tonight.

I'm off to work for my publisher again today. I wonder what we'll be up to ...

Suzan - I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well AND you failed your exam! A double whammy! Yes, I did put a note at the end of my fanfic about my novel, but I couldn't figure out how to put a direct link in. Anyone have any ideas, or does their system not allow that?

Desiree - one of the things I have learned since working for Rochelle at Wombat Books is how little it matters if the writing is good, bad or indifferent. You can write a book that is technically brilliant, but if it doesn't touch the reader, you're sunk. It won't sell. Twilight is not brilliantly written (although I certainly don't think it is really bad either) but it does well because the characters are so engaging and interesting. Again, of course, these same characters are not going to appeal to everyone. Writing is very subjective; what means something to one person will seem like crap to someone else. Unless you are already a successful author you can't set out to write a bestseller. It just depends on timing and how many people hear about your work and respond to it.
