I loved the black and white graininess of Pi. I thought it gave the movie a really interesting feel.

I also love Donnie Darko!

Cider House Rules is a pretty good one. Haven't seen it in a million years though. I honestly don't remember it that well.

Another one that's supremely depressing is Grey Gardens. I doubt anyone has seen it. It's more of a.... documentary from the 70s. If anyone is familiar with the character of Miss Havisham from Great Expectations, this movie is about a mother and daughter who are essentially two real-life Miss Havishams. They were related to Jackie O., came from wealth etc. But now they live in this huge dilapidated house and the gardens have just become completely overrun. And they spend all day thinking about what once was and what could have been. It's a really fascinating movie, if scary and depressing. It's so easy to look at them and wonder if you could end up like that....

I never saw Grey Gardens I wanted to see it on Broadway but never got the chance.

I cry during almost every movie. Fiddler On the Roof is another movie I cry too.

definitely Moulin Rouge... I have to wait until everyone has gone to bed so I can watch that one by myself. I sob hysterically everytime! lol

also Requiem for a Dream tore me up!... um Legends of the Fall...

and to those of you who say RENT... you're not kidding :] haha.. love the movie (and Im proud to say Ive seen the show twice... its ten times as powerful in person!)

I have seen RENT 6 times on Broadway and every single time im sobbing. The movie does a great job of making me cry too. Oh another good one that made me hysterical was the one with Justin Timberlake Alpha Dog... holy crap if you want to cry your eyes out you must watch this movie. It is just horrible!

I did get to meet the cast of the show one of the times I saw it though, so I guess that kind of makes up for not seeing it 6 times! haha

but yeah, talking about sad movies, everyone who hasn't see Moulin Rouge, DEFINITELY needs to!

its one of those movies that you kind of have to watch by yourself, unless you like crying in front of people
