I wonder how they really got that way? Did the success and money get to their heads (which is what I personally believe) or is it because they have a new team of animators or whatever that don't see down the old path that was Disney?

I think that they're trying to keep it "hip" and "modern". So they've made all of the animations computerized and lost some of the old themes. Like I heard (never saw it, but just what I heard) that WALLE is a very environmentalist film.

I love old school disney (the animated films) now I'm thinking they are losing their edge because they are concentrating more on movies like high school musical and such...hopefully disney will go back to their roots soon

I can see how they would want to be "modern" but being modern was never a big deal back in the animation era. Why keep up with the times when you can make great memories like with the animated movies? And, yes, Wall-E is very heavily environmental themed.

Yes, well, Disney wouldn't be the first company I know that needs to go back to their roots. They try too hard to attract an audience and they don't seem to think about the fans they already had. It's sad but hopefully Disney (and the other said company) will finally realize this, stop what they're doing, and go back to being great again.

We need to write them a strongly worded letter.

I wonder if that would work? They could be immune to complaints by now.

We'd give them hell. The transcript of this forum alone would be quite strong-worded, especially considering most of us are in our teens.

I don't know. I want to say that they would at least read it, but I don't really know. Walt would, but I don't know about the people now. They're making too much money.

They care more about the cash and the flash than anything else, so they'd have a secretary reply to it, send an autographed headshot and form for some club membership or other. I'm being a wee bit cynical, eh?

But it would be funny to wave the signed headshot in front of a teeny bopper's face, "You want it? You want it?" I'm joining you the the cynical side Naureen.
