MissP~ I know! It's getting to be a very busy time of year for me. With dance recitals, and the school year coming to a close, there is just no rest for this mommy! I have so many RL projects and commitments until the first of June, then vacation, then the kids are home all summer! All of which means I'll working full time for my kids, with no breaks, until the end of August, :P ! I need time before then to read and write and just be quite with my brain! Ahhh!

Anyhow... I just finished the last available chap of Vampire in the Basement. I have no idea how long this story goes between posts b/c I just found it not too long ago. Does anyone keep up with that story to know?? I just hope it's not too long.

Sandy~

Awesome Emancipation Proclamation update.
This chapter kicked my butt! Carlisle's retrospection at the cliff after dropping Jake's body into the ocean was hard-core and I think his true moment. My heart broke for Jake, who as Carlisle noted, was an invisible man going unnoticed in life. I know that killed Carlisle having to dispose of Jake that way. I think Carlisle's heart broke for Jake, Edward and the years Carlisle missed of his broken son's life, for Bella, for his own choices, his beloved wife...everything. He had reached his limit and he was over it.

The shootout was brilliant and had me yelling, hiding - lol, hanging on the edge of my seat and finally wanting to cry when Alec kept getting hit with bullets. I was screaming "Nooooo, you can NOT die! Esme needs you. WE need you! Alec is the rock god of this story and he has to live. All the Cullens must live along with Bella. *sniffs*

On another note, Kayla I saw on the fic Bite to Break the Skin by Jillian Landers, that you are one of her beta's? Is that right? If so, I think that's great!!! :D
That is story is fantatic!! I just started it this evening and she mentioned you in the a/n's.

I'm trying to put some stories on the Community, but Fanfiction is being a butt right now, so I can neither review or put any stories up.

Here are some rec's:

Bite to Break Skin by Jillian Landers
Across the Universes by FantasyMother
An Angry Man by katinki
So Cruel by Demosthenes91
No Choice by glasscannon.lj
High Anxiety by EdwardsBloodType - I've rec'd this one before, but it needs another shout out.
Electric Blue by Winkle101
The Blizzard by she_viking

Some of these are angsty, but are fantastic.

When fanfiction stops being a butt, I will try to add these to the Community. Be looking for them - really worth the read, imo.

Hi Navarre!
It's good to hear from you again. Yep, I beta Bite to Break Skin, but not every chapter. Jillian (aka JillOBean) is a wonderful author and I adore the story. I enjoy beta reading, but I can't take on too much because I am still finishing my own story. Thanks so much for the list. Fanfiction is driving me nuts tonight.

To everyone: I'm a member of a new fanfiction blog called Taste on My Tongue. It's very new, but we have already started recommending and reviewing works and interviewing authors. My area is T or PG-13 and below rated fics. I have been compiling a long list, but I could always use some ideas. If you know of authors who have written phenomenal works that stay below R or M ratings, PLEASE let me know. You can post or pm me.

Thanks, Kayla

Sometimes very long between posts. I love the story, so I stick with it, but every time it's updated, I have to go back and read the previous chapter.

re: Masters of the Universe spoilers

Sweetkay and Shauni Oh my goodness. Ep was my favorite fan fic but I hate say this it has been bumped by MOTU. This story consumed me. I am soo glad it wasn't like the Sub and Dom and Training. After awhile I could not stomach that one anymore. So I was a little weary about reading MOTU. It is nothing like it. I loved her adaptation of Edward being a broken and tortured soul. I love also how she adapted Bella to bringing light back in his life and giving him a second chance.Chapter 67 the shower scene were Edward says Yes, I do. I read that one like 20 times. It broke my heart. This whole story has my heart split into so many pieces. I just want to reach out to him on so many levels.

I honestly think she could still write a playroom in there I think there is nothing wrong with that. I will say she can't have Edward hit Bella again using the items that Bella fears most. So those items need to be thrown far away! It would only weigh in Bella's mind if he did into wondering if he is thinking of his mother if that was to happen. I think they could explore the playroom in a fun, kinky, tender, passionate way that would be new for Edward. It would give them a chance to look at the playroom in a whole new manner. It would bring new memories for them both and they would no longer look at it and be reminded of the past.

Please, please, please tell me someone here has read Intersection by Lillybellis. This is one of those stories that's going to stay with me awhile and I'll probably come back to again and again. Here's the official story summary:

Bella Swan wants a fresh start in a new town, and a chance encounter with Edward Cullen turns into something meaningful when their lives begin to intersect. Will a past connection and inexplicable bond be enough to heal the wounds that both are hiding?

This story was amazingly well written and I fell in love with it from the start. Bella and Edward each suffered tragic events in their past, Bella in particular, and this story focuses on the encounters between Bella and Edward and how they help one another heal and learn to love again. It's all about reconnection, forgiveness, and forgiving yourself, and how time and distance can never really separate us from the ones we love.

The Cullens, Charlie, Renee, Phil, Jacob, and other Quileute members are a part of this story, some featured more prominently than others. I actually adored Jacob in this story--he is Bella's close childhood friend, protector of her secrets, and her primary source of support at the beginning of the story. One aspect of the story I enjoyed, probably because of my "advanced age", was the fact that Bella and Edward are in their very early 30's with a little bit of life experience under their belts. This Bella has a little more attitude and sass than book Bella, and I loved her easy banter with Jake and Edward. Many witty moments and lines helped to balance out the heavier moments of angst, which were often at the forefront of the story.

The author brilliantly conveyed a depth of emotion that was often breathtaking and heartwrenching, especially in interactions between Bella and Edward or Bella and Charlie. There were many poignant moments when I was brought to, or very near tears...although this could be heightened by PMS symptoms.

The story is complete, and at twenty-five chapters is actually manageable (and I believe preferable) to read in two or three sittings. As much as I love many of our epic but uncompleted fanfics like Emancipation Proclamation, The Fallout, and The University of Edward Masen, for me they lose just a bit of momentum and steam when I have to wait two to three weeks (or more) between chapters ;)...not as if that stops me from reading them, of course. :D

I'd love to hear your thoughts about Intersection, if anyone has read it...otherwise I'll drive myself batty without anyone to compare notes. ;)
Tracy - Thank you for the reccomendation of Intersection, I completed it today. Very well written and I too loved Jacob in this story. I loved how he was such a wonderful friend and protector of Bella. My heart broke for Bella and Charlie and how life and misunderstandings kept them apart for 15 years.

How ironic that Bella and Edward (known as Tony) met as youngsters in the hospital and forged a friendship that meant so much to both of them. Then came full circle back together as adults. I agree I liked both of them as more mature adults in this story. I'm way past PMS symptoms so I don't know what to blame my tears for as I read this story. Other than I happen to be a real softie!! Yes this story made me cry at times too!!

Thanks again!!!
Intersection Discussion

Kay, sorry it took me so many pages to respond to your post. ;) I'm so glad you liked Intersection and that I'm not the only one who who was brought to tears (I'm a softie too :D ). It was such a heartbreaking story, yet filled with hope. I wanted to rip Renee a new one and was honestly surprised that Esme and the Cullens even let her near Bella in the first place on Christmas Eve. You could just tell something wasn't right, from the moment she walked in the door. But I'm so proud of Bella for finally standing up to Renee and letting her have it and just washing her hands of her. As pitiful as that was, it's what Renee truly deserved.

lillybellis has also written another wonderful story called Rhapsody in B, that's one or two chapters away from the end. I was planning on recommending it here but figured I'd wait until it's finished since we all have so many other uncompleted fanfics to follow. Let me know if you want to hear a bit more about it.

Thanks Desiree. I loved reading a bit of How to Save a Life from Edward's point of view. It was excellent and I can't wait to read the "sleepover" chapter from Edward's pov, as well as other upcoming chapters. I think we'll see just how clearly Bella does not see herself.

How to Save a Life EPOV
I loved it. It was good to finally see how he was really feeling. He was so angry and pained that you just wanted to give him a hug. And I think I got a much better impression of his character when I didn't see him through Bella's eyes. And I'm looking forward to seeing him fall for Bella.

Bonne Foi
I just got caught up with the 30 chapters yesterday. I was so sceptical when I saw him jump in the sack with Bella on the first night. I thought that was so OOC, since it took Edward forever to even kiss her in Twilight. But once you get used to this version of Edward, it is a fantastic story. I've really enjoyed seeing their relationship progress. And the fact that it's in EPOV makes it even better.

Intersection
Tracy~ Thank you for recommending this one. I just started it yesterday, and I'm really fascinated by it. I also noticed Rhapsody in B, and from the synopsis it sounds very good too. Maybe we've discovered a new favorite author :)
