Okay, why are the getting a director for EC now when NM isn't even finished? Shouldn't Summit see if the like CW before they make that decision?
I think this whole director stuff for EC is ridiculous.

It is completely because they are rushing the timeline, already setting the release date for Eclipse at June 30, 2010. With only 8 mos between the release dates, Chris Weitz will still be in postproduction and press stuff for New Moon when preproduction and shooting for Eclipse has to start. You'd think they would give Chris the chance to direct the third installment, particularly if he is able to knock it out of the park with New Moon. Stupid. Utterly stupid!

i agree they are becoming greedy.. i am happy that the movies are coming out quickly, but they're trying to make money by putting the twilight name on EVERYTHING..
SO, I found these over on the Rob thread and I thought I would repost over here for comment. They are some BTS photos from some of the make up/wardrobe tests for New Moon. Take a look!
I don't like the new Carlisle hair. The Twilight version looked a little better on Peter. I kind of like the hint of dark underneath. Same thing with Nikki's hair. That wig is just too damn much. And, gah, Taylor's looks like it's attacking him!! But, Rob, Ashley, and Kellan look great. I am figuring they won't leave the 5-year-old-playing-with-mom's-makeup blush streaks off of Rob's cheeks.
Most of all, I am really happy to see the Cullen crest in there!! Yay!!! I loved that in Twilight, thought it was such a cool idea. Nice to see they're keeping some of those pieces.
EDIT: Yeah, their all going to get nailed for sucking down the nicotine, but thank gods the whole cast smokes. It's apparently great for candids!!!

LOL!!! ^^ Everyone that was old enough to smoke, did(except Ashley :]) I like Ashley. But it was weird seeing Kristen looking like Bella, and smoking...I have a little bit of a hard time seeing Bella smoke. If it was just Kristen as herself in LA or something, I would be ok...idk what's wrong with me lol. Same person, different look.
Ok seriously, what was up with all the smoking?! Even freaking Peter and Kellan smoke, which I didn't know before seeing those pics. I already knew about Rob, Kristen, Nikki, and Jackson. Jeez, it is pretty disappointing. Yes they're adults who can do what they want, but it is still overwhelming that so many of them smoke. Was it like a requirement to be cast or something?

This whole Eclipse thing does feel rushed, but I just saw an article today stating that they have not found a director for Eclipse yet. (Personally, if they are really going to release Eclipse so soon after New Moon I'd like to see them getting to work on the script and everything while New Moon is still filming -- I want them to take their time and make the films as polished as possible.)
