I was thinking of that too Nima. I thought about Victor would make a great Aro. I would love for them to make New Moon, because I want to see who they would cast to play the Volturi. I think that Aro is the one most people want to see, but I have started to think who would play Jane and Alex. Anybody have thoughts on who would play the Volturi?

Well, you learn something new every day! The only people I had ever heard "aboriginal" if reference to were the Australians; and that was in highschool very many years ago. I had learned that the Aborigines were natives of Australia. So, when I read your take on Jacob, I was like "WHAT???" LOL- I looked it up; an aborigine is a member of the earliest known inhabitants of a land... which is true of the Quileute tribe.

Because he is absolutely so innocent looking, I think Alex might look like Freddie Highmore. I think he's maintained that look even as he's aged. He's sixteen now.

Highmore's costar AnnaSophia Robb in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has enough evil in her looks to be his evil twin Jane, even though she has light coloring. At fifteen now, she's probably a better Jane than when she was younger.

ETA: Thanks for looking that up BlueStarlight. I learned something new too!

I could totally see him as Aro. He's very close to my mental image.

Imagining the characters while I'm reading isn't something I do on purpose. I can't really control it. Like Lieziewiezie I see everything play out like a movie in my head while I'm reading. The characters start out fuzzy but each new piece of information about them brings them into focus a little bit more until I have a complete visual. Of course some characters don't get as much description as others in the book so some of them are still a bit fuzzy in certain areas. Like I can see Carlisle's physique and hair perfectly but his face is lacking definition in my mind. It's the same for Esme.

Carlisle is very close to Charles Hunnam in my mind. I can just see him traveling around the world. In my mind he has kind of a surfer quality to his looks and when he's not in his doctor smock with tidy hair, he's in faded holey jean, no shirt and hip dents.

Sorry, I was bit by the 5 URL rule again...

Now that he's 31, another actor that's starting to grow on me as a Carlisle is Matt Czuchry. He doesn't have the height, but he's got that blonde-serious-intensity thing goin' on.

nissanmama,

I looked at the picture of Charles Hunman. OMG That is exactly how I pictured him. I think Peter Facinelli is all wrong!

Matt Czuchry...aka Logan Huntzberger! He is how I pictured Jasper would look!

I have a few other characters in mind.
Alice: Alyssa Milano she so petite and cute!
Aro: Rufus Sewell http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BM ... SY135_.jpg
Caius: Christopher Walken. He always plays the evil guy and is really good at it!

The link doesn't work so I looked him up. (Had a "duh" moment when I couldn't place him, but then remembered Tristan and Isolde was on TV the other day.) OMC! He's such a good bad guy, but I see him more like Marcus. Dark, brooding and bored since he lost his only love (thanks to Aro)

ETA: You fixed the link! Thanks!

I never really had a Jasper in mind, but I always liked SM's suggestions of
Trent Ford who has the potential to look very dangerous and very southern.
Calum Best was also one of SM's suggestions, although I preer the pic of him with longer hair on SM's site. He's got great, emotional eyes.
