Um, why are we tackling it? I need a purpose first.

Back on topic so my soul does not get eaten...
Yes, it does make me feel slightly better that SC is doing the script, but she very well could suck at writings scripts. Movies are a lot different than books.
And its still mosty rumor, so my fingers are crossed that it goes down...

I read some background on SC, and apparently before she wrote books she wrote scripts for TV. I'll have to go check my sources again, I want to say it was for a kid's show.
And I would also like to know why I am attacking something before I do.
Edit: here's her imdb profile
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1056741/

If she's had experience writing scripts before I thnk the movie will be fine then! She'll be able to write for it well, staying true to the books while adding the little cinematogric (?) things that she needs to when translating the book into the movie. & the book is already written like a movie a lot so its not like there will be too much changing things up to do or anything.

& sorry for still not keeping up with this thread! I blame the vacation, it got to my head! Hehe, that rhymed!

I think this book will work fairly well for a movie. I think it has that movie-vibe around it. You can very easily, without any trouble see the whole book come alive whilest reading it. It has a lot of action, romance, tragedy and amazing characters in it. So every item for a hit-movie!

And since the author of the book is writting the script I have a lot of hopes. Now let us hope they do well with casting and for example take a good actress for the lead character.

Oh, okay. Then I have hope. Well, for the story, since SC can write. However, it depends on who they choose for the actors.
Course, I have absolutely no idea who they should pick.... I'll just listen to your opinions...

Yeah, I hope they don't screw up the casting :?
I don't want anybody too famous in this or else you won't be able to see them as the character, it'll just be THEM. But I don't want actors and actress's that are new faces but can't act, like what happend with some of the casting decisions with Twilight... Ugh, I'm going to get too picky! I'll have to spend a lot of time on IMDB to find someone that meets all of my requirements...better get started on that.

I know, I'm worried about the casting too!
It gives me hope, though, that Disney doesn't have the rights. So hopefully we won't get Zack and Cody as Peeta. :?
I want the kids to have experience, but not be like Zac Efron or something (EWWW!!!!)
You know who I thought would be good though? That guy that was Victor Krum in HP4 to play Thresh or one of the big guys like that.
