GNE her sisters writing was about as tame as Anne's so I wouldn't think it would be to hard she had some basic love scenes but I think even SM would be okay reading her work. Just kind of sad that Alice Borchardt (Anne Rice's sister) passed away last year with leaving a few unanswered strings in her books.
Again back on topic Leah being the first female wolf I think she is going to have to decide. She might go completely animal instinct or she might not but again open for discussion.

Misfit - welcome back, it is so nice to have one of the mainly gutterites back!
GNE - TWIN, you had me crying in my Petit Syrah! Glad you are back, sister! *hugs*
I think the pack tend to keep things human in the kitchen. They have never talked about having a female in the pack, so I'm sure this is a new thing. Since most of the pack (it seems) have imprinted, I think Leah will have to look outside their reservation. Maybe she should try checking out some others. Course, if she did do a temporary cooking class with another packmate, baking could be done in either form!

Woo hoo, Misfit! I'm glad you're back and thanks for the fun question. As far as werewolf baking, I guess it depends on which "pan" brings forth more tasty results.
GNE, I'm so glad that you've returned! *hugs*

Wowzer! I must say, even with my amorous disposition towards those hunky Quileute guys, this wasn't ever something that crossed my mind.Misfit wrote: Again back on topic Leah being the first female wolf I think she is going to have to decide. Misfit.
I imagine Leah wouldn't be for it - at least not at the present time, because she was still struggling in BD to even eat as a wolf without letting her human instincts tell her it was gross. That might dampen the joy of baking, if the wolfygirl feels all yucky about being a wolf. Then again, maybe she'll get more comfortable in her skin (and/or fur, he he he) and have a grand old time in the woods with her future imprintee... I am rooting for Leah. I love her, and I relate to her. I hope her story doesn't end here (and I have a feeling it won't).

Misfit- Welcome to the Gutter and nice to meet you. We never had the pleasure due to my long period of absence but I hope we get to see alot of you on here . A male's point of view is very insightful and entertaining.
Back to the topic- First of all I'm gone for a little over a day and we're on page 28!!! Holy crow ladies you've been busy. It also is sad to hear about the whole teen drama going on in the gutter. Second of all, I agree with Tamalyn and i doubt Leah would ever think about going Werewolf all the way. She isn't fond of it at all. She definitely doesn't ahve a chance on imprinting on any of the guys in the pack since imprinting is a first sight thing. But maybe she doesn't know EVERYONE in Forks?? So there's a possibilty she might imprint on someone there??? And I also agree with that she might have to look outside Forks too if she did know everyone there. But I think she's far from ready to look for someone to imprint, let alone a relationship.
GNE- You're hillarious!!!!! Baking in either form. I love your naughty mind!!! It would be so fun to read about some baking sessions that she would be cooking in. Mwahahahaha you genious women I love your evil minds
Hope <3

Sorry -- I wanted to reply to this last night but I fell asleep! (it was after 2am here...).StuckintheTundra wrote:December, forgive me if I'm out of line but from what I've read it isn't the reading/readers that are an issue it is the posting that has caused the issues. I don't want to take up too much time on this since we've all moved on nicely, but just had say: you're not out of line at all! I wrote what I did because I got the feeling that one or two posters were maybe also uncomfortable with the idea of kids listening in on what they said, but you're absolutely right that the key issue is that this is a thread for adults to post on and not kids.
To clarify: there are no absolutes here, but roughly if you are old enough to be in college (which usually means 18 -- occasionally 17) you are old enough to hang out with the grownups. We don't want to specify a cast-iron definition of adulthood, because cast-iron definitions don't take into account cultural differences (17 year olds in one country can be a lot more mature than in another, even if still in school) or exceptional individuals. But the basic principle stands: this thread is for grownups to post on...and everyone to read. Hope that seems reasonable to everybody.
And now...we return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

My husband has read Twilight, the first Chapter of Midnight Sun & also The Host. He does intend to read the rest when he has more time...he is a fairly slow reader. I have talked so much about the books that there will be few surprises for him when he does find the time
I don't think Leah is comfortable enough as a wolf to want to get involved in any amourous activities in that form...besides there isn't anybody in the pack that she feels that way about. Not that there are many available anymore.
I wondered what you all think about Leah's fear that she is menopausal & infertile? As I understand it, it wasn't so much that she wanted a baby, just that she feared that she couldn't if she did want to. I wondered if it wasn't more, that while she is phasing, her cycles are in limbo, because if she was pregnant, her baby would not be able to phase backwards & forwards between wolf & human. I think that when Leah ceases to change, her cycles will return. I hope very much that SM will at least write a Leah short story so we can see what she intends for her future.

Excellent point, Monti! I do agree that I think her body is just sort of 'on hold' due to her phasing. It seems logical (ha, coming for me no less!) that once she stopped phasing and began to age, her body would just start the normal hormonal rounds that we all have come to know and love (not).amontilado wrote: I wondered what you all think about Leah's fear that she is menopausal & infertile? Oh, and Misfit, I think no wolfy lovin' in that form. Think of this, if she was in her animal form and being active as such, the whole pack would be experiencing it with her through their mind connection. Ew.

Re: The Gutter Gals & Co. --Innuendo thread for the "older" fan
So I'm thnking Leah and Mike Newton. He's already in the outdoor supply business. They could camp together. She'd go out and kill a few rabbits, he'd cook 'em up over the campfire and they finish with smores under the stars. He's a hometown boy and would be set to take over the business after getting his MBA. Maybe buy the Cullen's home after they move on before anyone suspects they're not aging. Leah would have to unstink it, of course, but then she'd have lots of room for a litter of puppies.
Alternatively, it could get ugly if she goes out for a night run and has an affair with a real wolf. Would she have puppies or babies?
Of here's a thought...having discovered that she's a "shape-shifter" and not a werewolf, she might choose to be a new form, something more suited to her tastes. Perhaps something less preditory? I think she just needs to go move in with Hawke.

Ha!! However, this cannot work Nima! Firstly, Hawke is MINE and second he is WAY too old for her reinforcing point number 1.nissanmama wrote:Of here's a thought...having discovered that she's a "shape-shifter" and not a werewolf, she might choose to be a new form, something more suited to her tastes. With what happened to Leah, I can't see her having secret rendezvous with anyone if she is in a committed relationship. I would like to see her story continued. It stands to reason that because she shifts, she is not aging therefore her hormones are on hold due to the werewolf gene. I bet it goes back to normal once she stops shifting, but I refuse to believe that her werewolf gene was activated because she is not worthy of passing her genes on. I think the tribe needed the numbers and she was the last available choice. Plus, they had never experienced this number of vamps at once before. I believe that Leah with have her HEA and it will be an exciting journey!
