"Vero?" I wondered how Cosimo could sound so calm, staring at the business end of a flamethrower. Did that attack yesterday addle his mind?

In any event, I wasn't about to let that thing go off inside the house. I reached for it with my power and pushed, bending the barrel up and back to point outside.

I wasn't satisfied- I sought the body of the weapon, and upon finding it, hurled it away from the house. There was a distant crash as it hit the ground.

I summoned my chains from my room, and they streaked past me, around my door-shield, and into the front porch. I willed them to wrap around anything they came in contact with.

"...I think I have something."

I hopped down from the counter and stood in front of Chaos who was guarding the children. Would the children be frightened?
I knelt down to their level again and decided I would distract them to also distract myself.

"Who is it now? Maybe I will play tag with you sometime! Would that be ok?"

I quickly turned my head to see what was going on behind me. Gio was holding the rest of the door. Someone said something about a flame thrower! Who has flame throwers?

I picked up my previous conversation.

"Yes I would love to play tag sometime. I bet you two are way faster then me."

"...I think I have something."

I could feel myself get tense. What could it be?

Zen leaped from the doorway of the kitchen, running over to Rin and stood in front of her, gaurding her.

Rin looked up at Zen through the smoke that had now filled the living room. "I'll be alright Zen..did you see who is out there?" He kept his eyes at the doorway. "No."

Rin scrunches her eyebrows together. "Ugh this smoke is awful, can't someone blow it away with their magic or something?" She waves her hand in front of her face. She then runs over to Roxy and the little ones and helps keep the distracted. Zen follows and gaurds the doorway to the kitchen--he turned on the sink and used the water to cover the dooway in ice. "That should keep things out momentarily." He stood by the doorway in his fighting stance, gaurding the four in the kitchen.

((Gotta go.. school calls. Spring break is over.. darn..))
