Jadey~ Yes, Only Human is the first story to which I was referring, the one where Bella goes back in time and meets HumanWard in 1918. I absolutely LOVE this story.

Jaclyn~ the other story to which I was referring, the one where Edward stays gone only to return when Bella is on her deathbed, is Save You.. I cried. Hard.

Enjoy.

MissP - I didn't get a notification either. It seems that something is wrong with the fanfic e-mail notifications. I am manually checking the stories I am following for updates.

Caryn - Oh my gosh, Save You is an amazing story. It makes me cry everytime I read it. It's only one chapter but it's beautiful, heartbreaking and emotional. Read it!!!

***The Training Discussion***

Love the backside wiggling from SubBella! You go girl! Give Domward a taste of his own torture!
The dining room scene...how the holy cow is she going to keep her head lower than his for the rest of the weekend?? That will be interesting!
My heart melted when Domward was so quick to stop everything and make sure SubBella was okay during her semi-panicked meltdown in the play room. She has definitely grown a lot because she was able to be totally honest with him.
I did not like the crawling either. I hope she gets a chance to tell Edward how she feels about that particular dislike.
Can't wait to find out why Domward sent his lovely to bed so early!

Hello from North Carolina!! Just wanted to let everyone know I'm alive! I keep going on the internet on my phone because when I'm not driving it gets boring and I can't sleep in cars, but it's really difficult to type on there.

Emancipation Proclamation Discussion

I'm so lazy that I quoted myself to discuss this amazing and riveting story. :D
older_twilight_fan wrote: Emancipation Proclamation Discussion

This story is mesmerizing, and has grown on me in a way that few stories have since Wide Awake and CW&IA. As I read the chapter with Carlisle's "punishment" I found myself screaming at my computer, "Bella, don't touch the gun!" as I realized what was about to happen. It was all so vivid and visceral through Bella's eyes: her fear, Carlisle's sudden anger and hostility, Bella's isolation and desperation as she received her punishment. I love seeing Edward's evolution and how he so tenderly comforted and cared for Bella afterwards. He just melted my heart.

For me, this Edward is eerily reminiscent of a Darkward, or especially a younger Tattward, with the f-bombs and his slight "finicky" compulsive tendencies, and the walls he's put up around himself, and the way that Bella is the only one who can breach those walls.

I also loved how Edward suddenly realized the extent of his feelings for Bella and how it hit him like a ton of bricks. Too bad it took another random sexual encounter with a skank for Edward to realize his feelings for Bella. And Edward speaking Italian.... 8-) oh dear Lord. I may not survive this story.

I cannot imagine how this can end well for them. :? It's not like someone can ever actually leave the Mob or the Mafia and have a "normal" life, at least not in any movie I've seen or story I've read, but I can't wait to find out what happens. I know it's going to be a wild ride and I wish I had about two or three days without work or kids meals to prepare or laundry to finish or a house to clean so I could catch up to all of you.
This story just owns me right now. I'm up to Chapter 33 or 34 and it's so intense; I don't have a great deal of time this week and I can only get in about 10 chapters a night.

I just love Edward and Bella's relationship and find it unlike their pairing in almost any other fanfic I've read. Bella is so pure, and good, and strong, all at the same time. I love how she sees the good in Edward behind all that "tough guy" exterior. I'm so glad the author writes alternating points of view as we get to experience everything fresh and new through Bella's eyes, but then we also see Edward express wonder and joy that Bella could actually be in love with him, of all people. I also find Edward's point of view hilarious and his snark and sarcasm help to lighten up the tone of this emotional and somewhat dark story for me.

I'm really curious and concerned about why Carlisle seems so fixated on Bella and apparently has been for some time, and that everything may not be as it seems. At first I freaked thinking somehow Bella might be Carlisle's long-lost daughter or a relative, or even possibly a by-product of Elizabeth's past rape? But that would obviously be very bad news for Edward and Bella and would pretty much put a stop to their relationship. :? As far fetched as this sounds, could Elizabeth have been Carlisle's slave at one time? :o I keep thinking that maybe the reason he seems so intrigued and affected by Bella's presence is that she (and Edward) remind him of himself and Elizabeth.

Anyway, I guess I'll keep reading....only about 30 more chapters to go to catch up with most of you.

Tropic of Gemini Discussion

Is anyone else following TOG? Caryn I know that you are. In.a.blue.bathrobe's words are just masterful and the way that she expresses feeling and emotions just take my breath away at times. For example:

He pulled me to him, aligning my body to his, and I slid my arms around him for the first time in almost a month, and the awareness of him – of his masculinity and solid strength – pounded through me and answered to all that was female that had been forced into dormancy as my body healed. I rested my head against his chest, cheek and ear to his heartbeat, and smelled him, the sweet salty boy-musk that was his alone, and I breathed him deep, listening to the music pulse through me, slowed by the drugs that kept me numb. I wanted to cry for him, and for me, that I couldn’t have him, and he wanted me, I could feel it, his #%$(^&@^ against me, and I couldn’t ignore it anymore, the desire that raced through my bloodstream. I pulled away to look up at him, pleading without words, sliding my hands under the back of his shirt.

Obviously I love the Bella and Edward stories, but this story is Alice and Jasper and the way IABB is writing this is exceptional. The rawness of this story... I just don't have the words. LOVE IT!!

~~EP Discussion~~
Tracey~ Hmmmmm, oh what to give away and what not to. First, let me say that I agree whole-heartedly about the changes in POV and the ways we get to see things. I ADORE MobWard and his change in perspective and attitude just makes you love him even more.
I will tell you, Khar answers your question about Bella's parentage, rather definitively in an upcoming AN and then most assuredly in upcoming chapters. All your questions, in fact, will AAALLLLLLLLLL be answered, most particularly the one about Carlisle's fascination with Bella. Hold on to your backside! It's a hell of a ride.

~~ToG Discussion~~

Kay~ Yes yes yes yes yes I am absolutely in lust with this story. IABB is a word genius. The way she wraps a phrase around you just makes every word touch you. I do love the line that you quoted, but what had me aching to the point of tears was this...
He moved then, fast enough to startle me, cupping my face in his palm, bending, mouth on mine, full onslaught of lips, tongue, ardor and excitement, not gentle, not a teasing promise of someday, but a heavy declaration of want and need and now, control pushed to the breaking point, and I returned the kiss, desperation in my hands, my teeth, the whimper in my throat as I tasted his mouth and his desire.
She paints word pictures and I love the way she describes them. You can also tell the musical background when she talks about their music in a way that you can almost hear it.
As for this chapter, I can't possibly fathom having to live and breathe and feel the love of my life, know he was hurting for me, and not be able to ease it. My heart bleeds for both of them. But, why do I have a sneaky suspiscion that the sudden appearance of drug sniffing dogs at FHS, the shoe in the woods and Laurent's death are ALL related. What is Seth so afraid of in those woods?
