Good morning ladies…

We are halfway through the week….YAY…I’m so screwed up with the days the last few weeks that I have to ask my bf every morning what day it is…

Brienna, I hope everything is alright…it really sounds like a blood pressure problem to me but I hope your midwife can help you out quickly.

Raine, yeah I did get some extra sleep…finally…I was in bed 9.30 last night…

Caryn, I can imagine you are happy with the dvd features…Me too…I can’t wait to hear the audio from Kris and Rob…

I wanted to ask you something anyway… I have a theory about Robsten, I don’t know if you noticed but I’m sure you did, that Rob and Kris are ever since the Eclipse premiere more public in their relation… they don’t deny it anymore, everybody knows they are spending every moment they have time together…I think the theory that Summit told them to lay low is true, if their relation came out earlier like it does now it would have been very hard to make the Taylor/Bella relationship believable…what do you think?

Mad decorating skills you have btw...

Jaclyn, I was reading Angels and Demons and I got a bit caught up in it…yesterday I found something else to read…I was reading Twi-smut about Rob and Kris…I actually can’t believe I’ve started reading that but it was such a nice story…too bad it wasn’t finished yet.

Desiree, maybe I missed it but where are you going to?

Ginnie, wow, you must be one happy wife to get your hubs back completely in shape…I think that’s the difference between men and women, we tend to develop relationships with comfort food while the men just can sit still…

Susie, Yeah I saw yesterday that we are back in the HH…and I’m so happy to be back home…

I don't have much time to search for new decorations this morning but this little one might do the trick

Anyway like I said to Jaclyn I was reading a Robsten fanfic yesterday and I thought it was awesome...and so sweet...so if any of you is up for it and has a Twilighted account you should read "Captivated" by Paulette_Marie...it's really something...

Afternoon folks,

I'm not sure if you know but the Pope is coming to the UK tomorrow. He lands in Edinburgh where he is going to meet the Queen, and then he is travelling to Glasgow for evening Mass. Well, this means that Central Scotland is going to be heaving with people!! And what makes it worse (for me  ) is that he is going to land in Edinburgh airport in the morning (which is only about 8 miles from my work, so therefore traffic is going to be mental in the morning) and then he is leaving Edinburgh at 4 and driving along the motorway that links Edinburgh and Glasgow - the same road I drive home at...and I finish at 4pm! So the traffic will be even more mental - first with lots of people who want to see him, and also with security etc. I think they are closing a lot of it (but which parts haven't been announced yet...) so I guess I won't get home for a long time tomorrow evening!

Tonight I am thinking of going to Zumba - has anyone here ever been before? I can't dance to save myself, so it will most likely be a diaster! I will prolly be far to embarrassed to go back next week Haha but I will go and see what it's like...

Ginnie - I'm glad your hubs is home safe and sound, and wow about his love of the gym ;) That's really sweet and funny you had a "fan girl moment" Haha!
I hope you do get a chance to meet up with Susie! She sure is a fun lady!!

JennJenn - You're so sweet to help your nephew out with his school work. How old is he?
Huh, the thread name has indeed been changed! I guess it's officially the end of summer now...

Susie - Hahaha, you make me smile with your HH World Tour talk ;)
Yay for more students to your class (that is a good thing right?? )
When the power went out the other night, I phoned by bf at work and made him talk to me while I felt my way around the house to get a torch  I'm such a scaredy cat! Haha!
You know, I never even thought about the acts doing Silks with ice skates on - I will keep a look out and report back! I hope the beginning of circus is going good :)

Caryn & Marielle - I can't look at the decorations you guys posted right now - but I am positive they will be stunning!
I will try and post some tonight afetr I've been to Zumba... unless I am so knackered that I can't even type Hahahaha!

Anyways, back to work I go!
Bye!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

I see we are back to the comforts of the Halfway House....and no home would be complete without THE VIDEO OF SUSIE & MIKE

I had such a great time last Friday with Susie! It was wonderful to spend the day with someone who you already know you have common interests with, but then to discover that although our backgrounds are different, and where we are in RL with kids, family, work, etc,yet we still have the common ground of TW/HH/Lex and our friendship circle is just that much bigger because of it.

Tammy ~ the 'pretty' from the other day is incredible!!! One of these days I'll get some pic's to you for a banner (I haven't forgotten, but RL doesn't seem to want to let me play lately - LOL!)
Marielle - when is your trip? sounds awesome!!
Brienna - congratulations! I hope you start feeling better! When I was pregnant with my 3rd, I was so sick-couldn't wait to start feeling better! :D
Ginnie- I hope Susie can make it down to visit you!!!
Caryn - I hope the Gala went well!! You looked beautiful in your dress!!
Tracy - 66 days until HP & DH ~ Part 1!!! I can't wait!!

RL is calling, so I can't get to everyone. But I hope you all are doing well!! One thing Susie & I kept talking about was how incredible it would be to get as many of us together as possible (at some point!) Hopefully it will happen!!

Oh, and if anyone is on FB, I'm on there too! :D

Laters! 8-)

EDIT - Susie & I :D

Hello Halfway House ladies.

Sandy~ great to see you here! I'm glad you and Susie had a blast and I'll watch her video when I get home from work.

Marielle~ We are getting a bit busier around here again. I think the Halfway House has sort of natural peaks and valleys, as far as traffic is concerned. I do think the fall schedule makes some of us a bit busier as our kids return to school, and perhaps sports and other activities, plus the lack of Twilight-related news. I kind of miss my summer schedule where I usually worked two days per week and was home with the kids the other days. I was able to check in on the Lex and post much more frequently than during the school year. Loved your pic of Jackson, by the way. You're probably right about Summit telling Rob and Kristen to lay low for awhile. And it might be that Rob and Kristen just told Summit to stick it. I mean seriously...is Summit going to try and film Breaking Dawn without Rob and Kristen?

Brienna~ Sorry you're feeling poorly, hon. Anemia is also a pretty common problem during pregnancy and some people take an iron supplement. The low iron in your blood can certainly make you feel weak and very tired. Hope you get whatever it is checked out soon and your midwife can help you feel a bit better. What exactly is Queens Day, by the way?

Fi~ Happy Birthday! Sorry we missed it around here.

Raine~ I'd forgotten you live with you brother and his family. You really are the “instant nanny”, especially when they get in a pinch. But I'm sure your niece loves having you so near. :)

Vicky~ You are the first to pre-order Eclipse around here. That limited edition package with the Edward sleeve sounds intriguing. Good for you for stepping out of your comfort zone a bit and giving that boy your phone number. I think sometimes boys can be a little clueless and they just need a small knock in the head to even realize that a girl might be interested in them. ;)

Caryn~ We know you'll be incredibly busy over the next month or two, but it's obviously all for a very special cause that's near and dear to your heart. We know we may see you around here a bit less...but we'll always keep a seat warm for you. I like the idea of Rob and Kristen having a little “love shack” of their own while filming in Louisiana. 8-) I'd read something similar too about actors and celebrities having some sort of anonymity in New Orleans and not being bothered as much by the papz or the public. Hope it stays the same for Rob and Kristen.

Jacklyn~ I bet you did freak out a bit during the power outage and I'm sure you were caught off guard. Thankfully your Robcrack selection survived intact, I assume? :D Thanks for updating me on the Indian food. Unfortunately I've never tried authentic Indian food but it sounds tasty. Nice Robcrack yesterday, by the way. One can never have too much jawporn. 8-) Good luck with all your traffic issues tomorrow. You'd think the Pope would have the decency to check with you first about your schedule, before he comes to visit.

Desiree~ I love that you have “quick vampire reflexes”. I'm sure it's saved you from many a spider in the past. Good for you for making occasional time for yourself, and for you and your hubs, away from the kids. I know it's often difficult to arrange childcare, but I think it helps so much to maintain a healthy marriage, and to keep everyone's sanity intact. ;)

Ginnie~ We're so glad that your hubs is back safe and sound....and sporting a new six-pack. Maybe you should write your very own fanfic about him. 8-) Enjoy your time with your family and take your time catching up around here--we're not going anywhere. I'm looking forward to reading your next two chapters.

Jenn Jenn~ You're absolutely right...they did change the name of the thread for us. I didn't notice either.

Susie~ Hope your second day of class went well. Did you have to completely update or modify your curriculum and lesson plans since this group is a different level than the class you most recently taught? Wish I could see Sonny Boy in Chattanooga, but there's a chance that my in-laws are coming to visit that weekend to see the kiddos' games and visit, but I don't know for certain. Sorry your knee is giving you fits. :?

First order of business:

Happy Hump Day!!

Marielle~ There’s all sorts of theories out there about Rob & Kristen and why their relationship is the way it is. Personally, I think it’s a bit of both. Living in the fishbowl they are in, it is disgustingly difficult for a relationship to progress at anything near a normal pace or in a normal way. And, it’s even harder to nurture a relationship the way it needs to be nurtured when your every word and gesture is scrutinized. So, I completely get them wanting to keep something for themselves, so to speak. When everything you have and are is public, whether by your own doing, or just because people take it, having even the smallest thing (let alone the biggest thing in your life) be just for you is a huge deal. And, when it comes to something like the person you love, well, I can totally understand why you want to keep that safe and close.

At the same time, the evidence of Summit’s machinations to at least keep their relationship on the DL is widely known. I absolutely think Summit took steps to cover things up in order to “protect the franchise” as they would put it. First, if their star couple were to break up, it could ruin the illusion of the intense love between Edward & Bella, particularly after they figured out they were doing at least two, if not three or four more films. Second, I’m absolutely with you in that I don’t find it coincidental that the tightest restrictions around Rob & Kristen even doing public appearances together occurred around the NM premiere. You don’t have to look any further than the seating arrangements at EVERY press conference to see what Summit was trying to do. It always snapped my teeth together, not only for Rob & Kristen, but also because it was almost like Summit thought we fans to be completely stupid in not knowing and understanding the outcome of the story. But, as Tracy pointed out, Rob & Kristen really hold the power there and the theory goes that they used it right around the time of the start of Eclipse filming.

But, you’re absolutely right. Really starting at ComicCon in May, Rob & Kris, if not completely public, were clearly much more comfortable and free in public. And, yes, I think that culminated at the MTVMA’s, TwiCon LA and the Eclipse premiere. I don’t think they are ever going to come out and release a statement saying, “Yes, we’re a couple.” That isn’t them. That’s such a Hollywood/industry thing to do and personally, when couples do that, I think it cheapens their relationship. Rob & Kristen aren’t that kind of people (one of the many many reasons I love them both, and particularly together). I just think that it will be what it is. To those whoknow what to look for, who see it, it’s blatantly, boldly obvious. To those who want to deny it, we’ll just continue to question how and why.

Which Rob&KristenSmut were you reading, btw?

Jaclyn~ My SiL Zumbas regularly. She loves it. I’ve never tried it, but she says it’s mad fun! Enjoy!!

Sandy~ Someone was enjoying Robsessed’s BeardyRob Retrospective this morning!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THE VIDEO!!! That was awesome and it looks and sounds like you girls were having SUCH a great time!!

Tracy~ Aww, thanks, sweetie. Do I get to keep the seatwarmer, too? <

Susie~ *stands and applauds; adds a wolfwhistle* Way to go, GIRL!!! You and Mike look like you were having so much fun!! And, what do you know? He really can sing.

Alright, girls. Enough playing. Off to work!

Quick post! I need to go to bed and rest my eyes for the doctor's appointment tomorrow. I need a new pair of contact lenses, the old ones irritating my eyes...

So sorry! Please bear with my post...

Susie I saw the video that Sandy has posted. You and Mike look and sound so cute singing together. Mike was kindda funny, I'm so glad you had an awesome time. Yay on having the courage to stand on stage and sing a duo in front of..., how many people are there anyway??? Jaclyn I hate traffic. Better start the day early tomorrow just to avoid the stampede of people that will surely gather at the airport. JennJenn Yay thanks for pointing out that we're back to HH, I honestly didn't notice it. I don't know why I'm absent minded nowadays  . DesireeThat sounds promising! One reason why I never got to finished VD it sort of lacks the passion and emotion that the TV series VD has. Oh well I'm still lazy in reading, can't start Percy Jackson because every I try to read a chapter I fell asleep after a couple of lines  . Vicky Yay on pre ordering Eclipse early. Episode 2 of VD tomorrow (atleast for me  ), I'm so excited to find out what will happen next.

No time to edit. Maybe tomorrow at the office. Goodnight ladies...

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

So by now many of you have seen the video of my Karaoke performance with Mike Welch. Thank you Sandy! Anyway - my disclaimer is that the song is way too low for me!!! I was belting it out in my "low" voice, practically losing my voice in the process. Towards the end you can hear my real "higher" voice.

Caryn – The beauty of “Saw Dust” on the road is that parents don’t go!! They’re all teenagers, so they don’t need us. They only need their coaches!! EXCELLENT Decorating!! Hey – I just bought Vol 2 of Season 1 DVD of Glee (just out yesterday). I have figured out when I can watch it – on my laptop during circus!! Each class is an hour long and what with my chatting that I do with parents – the episode length is perfect. I was laughing so much yesterday (headphones on) I wonder if anyone noticed! CARYN!! Luckily I can’t get pregnant anymore, or that first pic would have done it. A+ on your Robsten essay, by the way. Thanks for the applause on my Karaoke duet! Yeah- Mike is a real entertainer!!! I was very impressed with him. The Mike Newton character could have been even more boring had it been a different actor.

Marielle – I like your Robsten theory!! Your “decorating” is appropriate because Rob’s smokin’ hot in that pic and starts our fires that will be in cooler weather!

Jaclyn – The pope will be following you!!! I’m traffic will be a good excuse if you are late to work. Zumba – I’ve seen vids of it and it looks fun. You should defo do it – you don’t have to be a good dancer – it is “exercise” after all! Can’t wait to hear how it goes. More students in my class is a good thing because we always need good numbers to report. Full classes = more funding.

Sandy – THANKS FOR POSTING THE VIDEO AND PIC!! The pic the waiter took turned out really good. I had a great time meeting you too! You’re right, we didn’t have any trouble talking!

Tracy
– My lesson plans are completely different, but they don’t have to be that structured, so I can easily change things. At this point it is taking them so long to get through the material that the lesson lasts the whole week!! My Somali ladies like to chat during class instead of paying attention to what page and what assignment we are on. They’ll get used to my high expectations soon, I hope.

Raine
– Thanks for the lovely comments on my Karaoke duet! I think there were about 100 people there. That’s what age does for you – you’ve done it all before and it’s not that scary!! Are you going to get golden contacts??

I'm at school now and have to do my administrative duties now. For anyone keeping "score", I now have El Salvador to add to my list of countries represented in my class.

Have a great day, Everyone!

Evening everyone!

Happy Hump Day!

Do you know I actually forgot it was Hump Day until I came on here?? Madness!

Well I did go to Zumba tonight with my cousin. It was a bit bizarre but a lot of fun. I stumbled a lot with the dance steps, but hopefully once I've been a couple of times I will get used to it. I think that, if I keep going and become good at it, I will really enjoy it. Plus I was roasting & my heart was defo beating faster - so that is good! I do no exercise (I am the unfittest person ever  ) so it will be good to at least do 1 class a week.

Anyways,

Susie - WOW!! That video that Sandy posted of you and Mike singing is awesome!!! I have said it before, and I will say it again, you can really sing! It looks like so much fun. And Mike can properly sing too! Coolio!! :D
And...wow on the Hump Day pictures!! Especially that first one...
Haha, that's too funny about you laughing at Glee on the laptop with headphones on! I do that sometimes when I'm listening to audio books!

Sandy - Hey! Thanks for the lovely Hump Day gifts! I'm glad you and Susie had such a great time & thank you for posting the video :)

Tracy - I know! I mean what is the Pope thinking of, without informing me that he is on his way?? I am kidding of course! Hopefully it will be fine. Mostly why I'm worrying about the traffic is because I am supposed to be giving blood tomorrow evening after work... I just hope I can make it on time!
Ahh, JawPorn - yep, you're right - you can never have too much JawPorn :P

Caryn - I loved your refresher on the development of Rob and Kristen's public relationship... The last picture you posted from the Eclipse premiere - I love it! I love how she is grabbing onto his jacket. *sigh* they really are wonderful together aren't they?? :D

Raine - I hope you manage to get yourselves some new contacts tomorrow. I hate wearing mine for long periods as my eyes get very dry and itchy!

Anyways, I should head to bed.

But first!

I wish the UK got Entertainment Weekly... - they really do have the best photshoots!

Smokin' in a tux

Marielle~ You and I were talking about you going to Rome and me to UK. You really don’t remember? Thats funny! I was also asking all the places where you and your bf have traveled. Thanks for the rec on the ff. I will add it to my list of reads.

Jaclyn~ That is so interesting about the Pope coming to the UK. I completely understand your feelings though about traffic. Sad to say where I live It is congested all day. I wish I could blame it on something amazing like the Pope coming into town. zumba sounds like it would be fun.

Sandy~Thanks for posting the pic and video of you and Susie. It looked like you girls had fun. I would love it if all of us got together.

Tracy~Yes hubs and I have always been a team. That is why sometimes it is hard to come on here. I usually have 30 min to myself before he walks through the door and then it is our time to catch up on our days.

Raine~I just finished the first story in the book since there is 3 of them. YAWN  ok that was my reaction. I bought all of her books and I wish I would’ve read one first. Now I am trying to get through them to sell on Ebay and hope to hand them off to someone who appreciates her writing. She just isn’t a good story teller like SM.Since I didn’t like the books I have a feeling I will like the show better.

Susie~Wow your students sound amazing. I can only imagine all the interesting stories they tell you. Since I haven’t traveled al lot I always love meeting people from other countries and learning all about where they live.

Hi, Girlies!! I am so sorry I have been neglecting Ya'll lately! Things have been so crazy busy! Between the classroom, the after-school program, AND men...I'm buried under a sea of RL crap-ola!! The date with "blue-eyed not the best looking guy in the world but great personality" was a disaster. I asked my usual question. Are you a Christian? Do you go to church anywhere? (Sorry if that offends anyone, but it is a huge part of my life and I want it to also be a huge part of my guy's life.) Well, he says..."I really don't believe in God!" So, on to the next available victim...or better yet, I have decided that I am very happy with me, myself, and I...and Bella, of course.

School has been very busy and stressful this week, but the guy situation has just blew the wind right out of my sails. So, I am getting away for the weekend! I will be MIA for most of it, but I'll check back in with Ya'll soon!

Love you, Girls! Have a great Friday! :D
