I don't really "know" the other people who have posted here. I went with my hubby and son. Therefore, I don't feel comfy posting pics. Sorry. But I do know that there are tons of people on photbucket and flickr who have posted their pics for everyone to see. You might try that if you want to catch a glimpse of Forks.

I went to Forks during the summer. It was fun. First I had my mom pull over on the highway just so I could get out and take a picture of the Welcome to Forks sign. Then I went to the Forks Outfitters Groceries store and bought a lot of Forks, Washington souvenirs. I even met a girl who actually went to school at Forks and got lectured about how boring it was to live in such a small town. We stayed the night in the La Push reservation right on First Beach. And one of the staff who helped maintain the little cabins was named Sam. Unfortunately he wasn't tall enough to be a werewolf. The beach had a pretty view. Oh yeah, on the way to Forks we passed through Port Angeles. I just had to take pictures of Bella Italia and the Port Books and News Book shop. They have good ice cream around there.
I would love to go again but it takes me about 12 hours to drive to Washington from Utah. :(

I didn't go to Forks, but my gandma went without me! NOT FAIR!
She got some pretty awesome pics, and La Push is now my desktop...
But what's really not fair about it, is that she hardly even likes Twilight! Yet, the rest of my relatives do... grr....
I'll post the pics later...

I'm actually planning a trip there for my friend's birthday, as a suprise. I live on the other side of the country though and I was wondering: what is the closest airport?? Also, if anyone has any tips on saving money, because I'm definitely needing to plan this on the cheap!!

The closest major airport is the Seattle-Tacoma airport. Then, Forks is about a 3- to 4-hour drive from there. There's a small airport in Port Angeles like Bella flew into in Twilight, but I'm not sure how expensive those tickets are, but you could check into it. However, if you plan the time, Seattle is nice to visit and see the sights. (Just be prepared for traffic up the wazoo!)

And good ideas where to go , stay, etc, time of year? I want to go around this time(bella's b-day, Stephenie day). I just think it would be so much fun!! How long would be enough?? Thanks for any advice!!

I went to Forks =] I went in the summer and guess what I did? I WENT CLIFFDIVING teehee. (with an instructor of course) It was beautiful. I even convinced my parents to drive to Port Angeles and the pretended that Bella Italia was like this amazing restaurant so I could eat the mushroom ravioli. I love it there and I want to go back next summer

We loved our trip to the Olympic Penisula this summer. Forks is located in a beautiful part of the country! Besides meeting some extremely wonderful people, I think my favorite thing to see while there was Rialto Beach and Hoh Rainforest . The beach was so different than anything I have experienced on the east coast. The rocks were just beautiful, and the tidal pools were fun to search.
I was very excited we got to see a banana slug. Had never seen one before.
